Chapter Nine
She got an eye patch and put it under the pillow as she heard him open the door downstairs in the living room. She was sure the scent of the perfume shocked him and he was probably wondering what she got planned. Well he would never know till he came upstairs. Then she called out to him and she heard his footsteps as he came up the stairs, she turned the volume on the beat pill up a bit. She was already starting to get into the song. She hid the lingerie she was wearing with a red kimono gown. So when Fred opened the door and stepped into the room, he was greeted in three ways: sight, sound and smell. He walked into the room and was about to say something but Bimpe walked to him and placed a finger to his lips, shutting him off. "Shhhhh.... Go in there and have your bath and when you come back out, I would have your punishment waiting." He didn't argue. He did as he was ordered. But he was scared. His room looked like the scene from a Kama Sutra movie. He took his time to listen to the lyrics of the song as he took off his shorts and then he smiled, then he walked into the bathroom. They were also lighted candles in the bathroom. The last time they had a candle light love making, Trey had been conceived. Could it be that Bimpe was itching to get pregnant again? He asked himself as the hot water from the shower washed off the suds from the Irish Spring body wash. He started to get worried as he cleaned his body and apply his cologne. What would he say in explanation when Bimpe decided to have the conversation about Ifeoma? Then he walked back into the room, wearing his blue pajamas. Bimpe looked at him and frowned. "Take everything off and lay down." she didn't have to say it twice. He took everything off and laid down on the bed, then she stood up, went to the foot of the bed, grabbed his left foot and tied his ankle to the bed post, she did the same to his right foot, all the while, she was humming along to the lyrics of the song by Neyo. Then she looked at him as she started to tie his left wrist to the bed post, she sat across his chest as she tied his right wrist to the other post. Then she propped up his head on the pillow. She doubled the pillows so his head was slightly raised. In the time she had been waiting for him to come home, she had rehearsed slow twerking to the Breathe song by Neyo, now, she got the chance to show him that whatever Ifeoma was good at, she was way better. So, she went and stood in between his legs on the bed and started to seductively strip tease in front of him, moving her body to the slow rhythm of the song, as she undid the kimono gown and slowly showed him what she was wearing underneath. Then she turned her back to him, and placed her hands on her knees as she twirled her hips in unison with the song like a fire dancer. She let the kimono drop revealing the crotchless panties and she saw his dick shoot up like a dog that just heard its name. She slow danced in front of him for a while, then she got off the bed, slowly danced her way to the bedside fridge and got the bowl of ice cream out, she got the eye patch from under the pillow and wore it on him. She didn't want him to see what she would do to him. She opened the bowl of ice cream and went to the foot of the bed, using a teaspoon, she fetched some of the ice cream and put them on his right toes, then she sucked them off, she did it again and he was moaning softly already, then she did the same to his left toes and started to work her way up his spread legs, putting spoonfulls of ice cream on his thighs and her warm tongue would lick them up. When she got to his balls, she covered it with 2 full spoons of ice cream as she slowly licked each ball, doing so to the breathing sounds coming out from the speakers, accompanied with his moans. The ice cream melted and flowed down his balls, her tongue chased the melted cream and caught them in his butthole, she licked around it and then stuck her now cold tongue in the tight orifice till it connected with his prostrate, she reached out and started to stroke his erection after pouring some Durex lubricant on it. Fred started to beg her to stop but really not wanting her to. Her tongue was deep in his butt tickling his prostrate while she was stroking the tip of his lubricated erection in a circular motion at slow speed, making his orgasm teether at the tip. Then she got her tongue out of his butt hole and poured some of the ice cream on his dick. His dick went limp instantly because of the cold, then she took all of his limp dick in her mouth, and it started to get hard again in her mouth, fed by the warmth of her mouth, then she couldn't hold all of him in her mouth anymore, she started to deepthroat him, as his now very hard erection touched her tonsils. She stuck an index finger in his butt hole and started to tickle his prostrate again as she gave him the best blow job he would ever get. Then she tried again to deep throat him and as her throat constricted on the head of his dick, he started to struggle and pull on the leash tying his wrists but they didn't budge as he shot semen down her throat. She clamped her mouth on his dick and held him in her throat till he stopped releasing. She swallowed everything and smiled. "my turn" was all she said as she stood up from between his legs and started to suck on his right nipple. He was her husband so she knew his body as much or even better than he did. As she licked and sucked on his nipple, she stroked his dick till he got hard again, she got up, removed one pillow from under his head, she also took off the eye patch covering his eyes then she slowly danced, with her legs on either side of his head. He looked up and into her dripping pussy as she positioned her pussy on his lips, and with both palms on his chest, she started to slow wine on his face, using her pussy juice to mark her man. He was mumbling and moaning as she rode his face in slow motion. Without even removing the panties, his tongue drove deep into her, extinguishing the flames of her hormones, he badly wanted to touch her, hold her butt cheeks open and lick in between them. As if reading his mind, she held her butt cheeks open for him and raised her waist up slightly as Fred's tongue did Picasso tricks on her engorged clit. She stood up from his face, shaking as she sat astride him and gently lowered herself on his erection. When she had taken all of him in her, she started to do kegel exercises on his erection in her. She would squeeze and hold his dick within her, driving him nuts because she could see he was enjoying it. Then she bent backwards, held both of his ankles as she started to go up and down on him so fast, as she neared another orgasm, she collapsed on his chest and started to grind on his dick. "I'm sorry for hurting you babe" he whispered in her ears as he came again within her. "I know you are. I forgive you." she replied as she started to cum herself. Then she kissed him. They were both in tears when she started to untie his wrists. He held her in his arms and they drifted off to sleep. Neyo was still singing, asking them to Breathe when they went back downstairs hours later to microwave the food. Then they ate in the nude.
Dotun was a fitness enthusiast, he would spend an hour at the gym every morning and another hour in the evening, after work. His birthday was 7 months ago and even though he was happy that his sister and her husband didn't throw him a surprise party like they did last year, he was sad that he had to come back home to an empty house every evening. He was starting to envy what his sister and her husband had. He wanted to have his own family too. He was an ideal man, he thought to himself. His mom had asked him one time if spending all those years in the US had made him gay. That was so preposterous. He had laughed uncontrollably on the phone that day when his mom asked. His sister was the only one that knew and understood why he was single. He didn't like blind dates and he would tell everyone that cared to listen that they shouldn't set him up with anyone. He would find his woman himself when he was ready. Now, he felt he was ready. But where would he find the kind of woman he was looking for?
Someone had invited him to church weeks ago but he kept putting it off, so after gym that Wednesday evening, with nothing planned to do, he decided to honor the invitation. He got dressed and drove to the church. Service started at 6, he was twenty minutes late, so, one of the ushers directed him to a seat at the back. He sat down there and observed. He saw the guy that invited him and he waved, the guy also waved back. Then the pastor got up and started to preach. It was like the words were directed at him. Dotun had not been to church in almost a year since Thelma passed away. So, when he heard the pastor say: "Cast your burdens and worries on the Lord and let him guide you." he took the message to heart. He didn't know he was crying till the lady beside him gave him her handkerchief. "Thank you" he said, as he took it from her and cleaned his eyes. "If you're worshipping with us for the first time, please stand up for recognition." He stood up, the lady beside him stood up as well. She had also been crying too, because while Dotun was using the handkerchief she gave him, to clean his eyes, she had an extra one she was also using to clean hers. Most of the people in church that day, welcomed them and shook hands with them. After service, as he was about to write his name in the book for new members, he saw that she had written her name. They were the only two new members in church that day. He copied the number next to her name onto his phone and walked away, then he ran back to the book again. "Did you forget something?" one of the ushers asked him. "Yeah, I forgot to write my name." Then he wrote his name in the book, and memorized her name as well, Ifeoma Nwosu. He saved the number in his phone as Ifeoma Nwosu Handkerchief.
From the extra room in her new house, Ifeoma was able to get a shop at a mall in Utako. The four million Bimpe had given her was like a Midas touch, when she ploughed in into her business, it boomed. She made good sales daily and now had two ladies working for her. In four months, she was able to make almost seven million naira. She opened a separate bank account and paid 5 million into it. She had decided that one day, she would seek Bimpe out and give her back the four million with a million more as interest. She had gone to the 805 restaurant 3 times to plead with the waitresses there to give her Bimpe's number and three times, they had told her no and even after she gave them money, they still didn't give it to her. She concluded that Bimpe must have given them strict orders not to give anyone her number. She really wanted to have Bimpe as a friend. She hoped one day, she would be forgiven for what she had done to the other woman's family.
When Ifeoma moved into her new place 7 months ago, she did away with all the pebbles and charms. She told herself that if she couldn't get a man naturally without going diabolic, then she was okay remaining single. So she had channeled all her energy into her business and even though she had been tempted few times to reach out to Fred, the fear of what Bimpe would do to her made her not entertain that notion. She had changed the handle of her instagram page after that day she had lunch with Bimpe and had also added the new phone number to her profile. The phone never stopped ringing since that day, people always called to either buy hair or perfumes or undies or jewellery. That was why she had to employ two more people, she added the numbers of the two ladies she employed to her page. Then the calls reduced. Now, two other people were helping her carry her feathered cross. One of her loyal customers, handed her a church flier one Saturday, inviting Ifeoma to come to her church on Sunday and Ifeoma had said okay and made plans to go to the church the next day but the week had been a very hectic one for her that on Sunday morning, when she woke up, she couldn't even get out of bed. She was so weak. She saw on the flier that the church had a midweek service, she decided then that she would try her best to go for that one. She got to the church early that day, but decided to sit at the back so she could see and observe what was happening. She had stayed away from church since she ended things with Fred. She felt God won't forgive her for trying to break another woman's home. Someone came in and sat next to her, she didn't take note of him, it was when she wanted to get a handkerchief from her bag to clean her eyes that she saw that he was crying as well. The sermon was powerful and very touching. She had given him the handkerchief and that was the first time she was seeing a man cry. She felt moved. After service, she rushed out, wrote her name in the book for new members and drove home. She didn't want to be tempted to talk to the man that sat next to her. She told herself that she didn't deserve a good man, not after what she had done. As she was about to sleep that night, her phone rang. She looked at the strange number, not knowing much about international phone codes she picked it up, and kept quiet. Then a voice she thought she had forgotten, spoke from the other end:"Hello Ifeoma. It's me, Hamza." She hung up and hissed and then went to bed, dreaming of the crying man.
The workload on his shoulders was so intense that most times he forgot to take lunch, but he always made sure he had breakfast before starting the day's work. He was a good cook but he didn't get enough time to cook because he always had to be at work at 8am every morning, so he had a woman that brought breakfast to him and some of his other colleagues. His colleagues would always tease him to go get a wife so he wouldn't be having to wait on the woman every morning before he had breakfast. He would just smile and ignore their remarks. When he eventually meets someone he likes, he would definitely keep her a secret from his family, friends and colleagues. Since everyone had already given up on him ever getting married, he would also not let anyone in on his relationship till when he was close to getting married, then he would shock them all with the news. In the famous lines of Drake, in his song 'Emotionless' "I wasn't hiding my kid from the world, I was hiding the world from my kid." He would definitely do both though: hide the world from his woman and also hide his woman from the world. Whenever he does find the woman though. When he was done eating that Friday morning, he went through his phone to call his mom, he'd not spoken to her in a while, that was when he remembered that he'd also not called Ifeoma Nwosu Handkerchief. He got into his office, locked the door because he didn't want anyone eavesdropping on the call, then he sat on the edge of his desk, looking out the window as the phone started to ring. She didn't pick up. He frowned and dialled again. "Hello, good morning. Who be this?" "Morning Ifeoma, this is Dotun. I'm the guy you helped with a tissue in church on Wednesday." Then he paused and let the shock sink in. "Wow... How did you get my number?" he didn't know if she was angry or excited, but he went on to explain and she laughed as she listened to his explanation. Her laughter gave him the confidence to ask her out for lunch later that day, then he pumped a fist in the air as she said yes. Then he told her he would want them to have lunch at 805. There was a pause on the other end. "I don't think I'd be able to make it... Something just came up. We can do dinner at Jevinik though if you're up to it." of course, he was up to it. He didn't have any plans after work. They settled for a 7 pm dinner and he ended the call and spent the whole day staring at the clock. His sister had always told him of how nice 805 was and he had wanted to take Ifeoma there but since she was indisposed, he was okay with wherever she wanted, as long as he got to see her and spend time with her.
That Friday morning, Hamza had called her for the 15th time. She still didn't pick. He had called her on Thursday morning and when she picked, he pleaded with her to just hear him out and she had patiently listened to him explain what happened between him and the Saudi Princess he had married a year ago. Hamza had explained that even while he was married to the princess, he never stopped thinking of Ifeoma. Yeah, she admitted to him that he was a good chapter in her life's story but that chapter was a page she didn't want to go back to read again. He had pleaded with her to forgive him and take him back again in her life, since he was coming back to Nigeria soon. It was so tempting. After all she was single and starting all over again with Hamza would have been nice. But what if another Saudi Princess came along? He would leave her to pick the rest of her heart again when he leaves. He even had the nerve to ask if Ifeoma would be cool with being a second wife. His Nigerian wife, available for him whenever he was back in Nigeria. She had blatantly told him no. There's a thing about being number 2 she wasn't comfortable with. It wouldn't be so bad if she was someone's number 1. With everything she'd been through, being someone's one and only won't be a bad thing. She then told him no, but he kept calling, hoping she would change her mind. She didn't. She made plans to attend the church again on Sunday, hoping she'd see the crying man she gave a handkerchief to, she won't rush out after service this time if she sees him. She would approach him herself if he didn't do so. As she opened her shop that morning, she left her phone to charge while she and her girls went through all the things they had to do that day and her phone rang. She ran towards it, thinking it was a customer, the number looked strange, was Hamza back in Nigeria already? She thought to herself as she picked. Then she smiled when Dotun explained how he got her number. She had loved the idea of having lunch with him, but when he suggested 805, she was crestfallen. She didn't want to be reminded again of lunch with Bimpe but she also wanted to see her crying man again, so she had suggested dinner at Jevinik and he was okay with the idea. She spent the rest of her Friday happy with everyone, even her sales girls knew that madam was happy. As the time neared, she carried some extra handkerchief in her bag, in case crying man, who she now knew as Dotun might still want to give some water works. At 5pm, Hamza called again. She cut the call, went through her settings and blocked him. With that singular action, she closed a chapter of her past that wasn't worth reading again.
At 6:45pm, Dotun was already seated at a table at Jevinik. "you're late when you're on time" was a mantra that kept repeating in his head and that had been how he lived his life. He believed you were only on time when you were 15 minutes early. If you showed up to an appointment on the exact time you were to show up, you were already late. He sat there at the table, nursing a bottle of water, as he looked at every one that walked into the restaurant. In no time, the place was full. People started giving him angry stares since he was just holding onto a table and he wasn't even eating anything. If he wanted to just drink water, he would have easily gone to do that outside, but he was a well known person at the restaurant so they let him reserve the table till his date showed up. At 10 minutes past 7, he watched as Ifeoma walked into the restaurant. And it was like nothing else mattered. The other day at church, he didn't get to really see her. He had been drawn to her because of the singular action of giving him her handkerchief, now he was drawn to her because of her looks. She checked out on his list on all the physical attributes he was looking for in a woman. She was not too tall, at 5"9, she would complement his 6"4 athletic build. She was full figured and thick, she was generously endowed in front, complemented with another generosity at the back. He felt so proud as every other man at the restaurant turned to look at her as she walked towards his table. Then he stood up, gave her a hug, inhaled her smell, and he brought out a chair for her to sit down. She apologized for coming late. She lied that she had been stuck in traffic. But the truth was that she had gone home from her shop to freshen up. But the lie would have to suffice for now. He did look good in person. She thought to herself. She looked at his left hand, no rings there. She made a silent prayer, hoping to God that he wasn't married. "Are you married?" She asked as she sat down, not wanting to take any chances. She definitely didn't need another episode of Fred. As they both made their orders, Dotun was shocked by her question, but then smiled when he saw how relieved she was when he told her he wasn't married. That also answered his own unasked question, she wasn't married too.
At the end of the night, a few tears were shared. Thank God she had enough handkerchiefs in her bag. She told Dotun everything she had gone through in the hands of men, without mentioning names. She even told him about keeping 5 million naira aside to pay back the woman that gave her the 4 million naira so as to get Ifeoma to leave her husband. As she spoke about all she'd been through, Dotun listened as wedding bells kept ringing in his head. This woman sitting across from him was all the woman he had been waiting for. He told her about his own fear of falling in love, especially after he had lost someone he had loved in the past. He told her too about his decision to keep his relationship private and would only shock the world with the news when marital plans was set in stone. Ifeoma was cool with his decision too. She loved how he had been able to make her tell him everything about what she'd done and been through. She felt like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders at the end of the dinner. Then he walked her to her car. He wished she had come with an uber so he would get the chance to have her sit with him in his car and he would get to spend more time with her. He told her this and she smiled, "On our next date, I would use an uber then." "Can our next date be tomorrow? We could go see Ocean 8 at Jabi Lake mall. Please don't drive there." he smiled as he cancelled the plans he had with his sister tomorrow in his head. She would definitely understand. "Alright, I won't drive down. After the movie, what would we do with the rest of the day?" She had asked. She really wanted to spend more time with him, but she definitely won't give him too much green light on their first date together. Maybe tomorrow, she might give him some green light. "We would figure something out after the movie." He said as she hugged him and then got into her car. She smiled as she reversed her car, watching him walk to his car. He looked back twice before he got to his car to wave at her and she had waved back at him and then drove off. Then he got into his car, called his sister and told her he wouldn't be able to accompany her to their cousin's wedding, he was swamped at work. She sympathized with him. She told him she wasn't sure she would be going either. Baby number 3 was already kicking to come out at 5 months. He laughed at what his sister said and then thought to himself Trey and Fiona were old enough to have cousins. When he got home and showered, he found Ifeoma on whatsapp and another date started. They grudgingly said good night to each other at 2am on Saturday morning after shifting their 4pm movie date up to 10am. She offered to come cook lunch at his place after the movie. The green light was too green.
"Madam, I dey call am for me?" Usman asked as he ran to the kitchen window where he was sure madam was. "Please help me call that woman outside selling pap" she smiled as he looked confused. "wetin be faf? Madam, na akamu the woman dey sell o, no be faf." "Okay Usman, call the akamu woman for me." she said and he dashed off with the 500 naira she gave him to buy some pap. "Madam make I use the change go grind tomatiri? My wife dey come see me tomorrow, I wan cook mai tatashe for her." he had pleaded with his madam to leave the two hundred naira change for him. She nodded and he thanked her. Then she told him she'd give him some clothes later he could give his wife when she comes tomorrow. "Madam, I don do me better o. I go just tell Amina say I buy am the clothes for shofrite. And ma madam you get am por shofrite leather?" He asked, suddenly looking serious. "Yes Usman. I get the leather. Please later you'd teach Trey how to ride bicycle." she instructed him as she held her protruding tummy, Usman always made her laugh so hard. "Ba wahala madam. When I come back from grinding my tomatiri, I go teach am for Tirey how to ride am for keke. What of babies, she no go learn am for keke?" Bimpe told him no as she heard Trey shout in excitement as he rushed to go get his bicycle helmet. Fiona was almost 1 and was barely walking, so she was in no way ready to learn how to ride a bicycle. At 5, Trey couldn't contain his excitement, he didn't only get a new bicycle, he was also starting a new school at number 5 Mekong close, off Euphrates, opposite the Yoruba mosque. Bimpe wondered how she would have to be driving from Asokoro to Maitama every morning, taking him to his new school but thankfully, the new school also offered shuttle services and free breakfast and lunch. She and Fred had decided to change Trey from his old school to the new British school because it didn't seem like Trey was learning as much as he should at his old school because of too many students, but the British school at Number 5 Mekong close offered a Montessori approach to learning that was next to none and was surprisingly very affordable. Fred had found out about the school on one of his trips to the United Kingdom. Fred was expected back from the UK later that evening, he had travelled again to the UK four days ago to seal some deals and she couldn't wait for him to come back home and massage her legs. She had dominated him that night months ago, now, months later, she was carrying the repercussions of that domination in her tummy.
He had just 2 more hours before his flight back home to Nigeria. He sat in the waiting lounge of Heathrow airport looking at the video his wife just sent him on whatsapp. He smiled as he watched the video of his daughter taking her first steps. He wished so badly he had been there to see it in person. The second day after he left Nigeria was when Fiona decided to take her first steps. He definitely would be home when their third child took his or her first steps. He had also missed seeing Trey take his first steps. He watched the video again and proudly showed everyone seated next to him the video. They cheered him on as if he was showing them a contract he won. These white people sha, they're very nice. He was sure he wouldn't get the same reaction if it was in Nigeria. He strolled to a bar at the terminal and ordered for martini. As the bartender mixed his drinks, he remembered how close he had come to destroying his family just because he couldn't be faithful. After the night his wife punished him with love for his affair with Ifeoma, he made an oath to himself and to her that he would never go back to what he did. Then he had deleted her number from his phone as well as all their conversations and her pictures and videos as well. Later that evening, he had taken his wife to 805 again and after dinner, he went down on a knee and engaged her again with new vows and a new ring, the blue stone on the ring could buy a small house. Bimpe was worth every penny and more. Then it was time to board his flight. He facetimed his wife, letting her know he was about to board the flight. She reminded him again not to forget to get the Hershey chocolate bars, for the 10th time in 4 days, he assured her that he already got them. "Okay, lemme see it" she said and he brought the bag of chocolate out of his bag and showed her. "It's small one you even got sef. You don't plan on eating it abi?" she asked him, because he already knew that with her pregnancy, she had nasty cravings for chocolate. He went to the shop at the terminal where he had gotten it before and got some more. "That's my baby" she had said as she wished him a safe flight back home as she ended the call and went to watch how Trey was enjoying his bicycle lessons. Fiona was there, in the living room, holding onto tables and chairs as she tried out her legs. She would take 2 or 3 steps, then sit on her butt. She would look around to see if anyone was looking at her, with no one in sight, she would help herself up again and take few steps. Bimpe hid behind the kitchen door and watched. She felt so proud, then the growing baby kicked again in her womb.
She saw him waiting at the movie area and they both smiled as they realized that they had worn similar colours as if they planned it. She wore carton colored baggy shorts that stopped at her knee and a black T-shirt with 'Boss chick' boldly written across it. She also wore brown sandals that showed off her pretty feet. She carried a big blue tote bag. On his part, he had worn brown Clarks shoes, carton colored pants but his was a darker shade and he wore a black body hugging shirt with a large Medusa head adorned with black stones on the top. He loved everything Versace, even his perfumes. He got to the Cinema at 9:30am and got their tickets. Before he left home that morning, he had hurriedly gone to the market to get a bit of everything. He wanted her to see that he wasn't just about good body and looks he was also a good cook. The apron he had never used, was brought out from the shelf and hung on the handle of the gas cooker. "How did you know the colors I'd be wearing?" she asked as she gave him a hug and let it linger. He hugged her and held her close as they both inhaled each others scents. "cupid whispered in my ears this morning and told me what you were wearing." He had said as he broke the hug. She almost didn't want to let go. His body felt rock hard against hers. She was sure he had washboard abs beneath the Versace emblem. He smelled so good, she thought to herself. The uber that brought her to the mall had taken his time to show up at her house because of the traffic that's why she had been almost late. They had 5 more minutes before going into the movie theater, so he went to get some hot dogs and some drinks. She sat down and watched him go get their food. Without any pebbles or charms, she found the perfect man. Her period finished 4 days ago, so however the rest of the day decided to go, she was up for it. Moreover, she'd not been with any man in 8 months, the familiar itch was starting to make itself known. She crossed her legs and uncrossed them again as she looked at his butt and broad shoulders. She made a sign of the cross to cure her mind of naughty thoughts.
As he went to get the hotdogs, Dotun kept wondering what may happen after the movie when they drove to his house. Nothing bonded a couple better than food. But what kind of bonding would they be having? He'd not been with a woman in almost a year. He had shaved off all the hairs on his body that morning, in case clothes would be coming off later today. He thought of the last time he made love with Thelma, he could no longer remember all the details of it. Whereever she is, he was sure that she would be happy that he was finally trying to move on.
Then hand in hand, they followed the other people that also came to see the 10am movie as they walked into the hall. He was holding their hotdogs and drinks while she made sure that her boobs were touching his triceps. She held his arm tighter as they walked up the steps to the last row of chairs at the top of the hall. Then he stood back for her to walk past him to go sit down, she brushed her butt on his groin as she passed in front of him. It wasn't on purpose but she smiled as she felt the length of what lay hidden under the carton colored pants. They sat there making small talks as adverts came up on the screen.
Almost three hours later, the movie was finished and they thoroughly enjoyed the antics of Sandra Bullock and her band of thieves. As they filed out of the movie hall, Ifeoma excused herself as she went to the ladies. She was pressed because of all the things she'd drank and the cold from the hall. So she went and Dotun went to look for where to sit and wait for her to finish her business and come out. He sat in one of the chairs and was going through some social media posts when "Oga Dotun, it's good to finally see you in person. Please help me talk to your boys to leave me now, I would settle you here and now." interrupted him. He stood up frowning at the insolence. "Mr Nnamdi, this is definitely not the time or place for this nonsense. You wanting to even settle me here just confirms how guilty you really are." He wanted Ifeoma to finish and come out so they would leave the mall. He didn't like people knowing he worked with the EFCC. Mr. Nnamdi kept pleading with him. "Please na, Oga. It's my political enemies that are trying to... " he trailed off and Dotun turned to look at what made the obviously corrupt Igbo man forget to say what he wanted to say his gaze fell on Ifeoma. Was her beauty the thing that made this corrupt man forget what he wanted to say? He watched as the looks on her face changed from a smile to a frown. "Do you know him?" he asked her as she approached the table. "ask the fool if he knows me" she said as she gave Nnamdi a bad stare. "Ifeoma, biko let old things go away. Help me beg your man." Dotun felt so proud as Nnamdi called him Ifeoma's man. "Are we no longer going to your place again? I'm hungry." Then she held Dotun's hand, made a long hiss and they walked out of the mall, with Nnamdi looking at them, he was confused. "it's obvious you two have some kind of history." "Yeah we do. He's the guy I told you broke up with me via whatsapp and took away everything he got me." she said as she led him to where they could get some ice-cream. "He has many petitions against him in my office and I'm the one handling the case." "Whatever he's accused of, he's guilty." She said as they fed each other ice cream and walked to the car park. She stopped in her tracks when she saw the blue mustang drive in and went to park in front of them. The windows of the car was tinted just like Fred's, memories she wanted to forget, rushed back. She stood for a minute, as she looked at the car. "Are you okay, Ifeoma? We're almost at my car." "I'm fine, Dotun, I just remembered something I was supposed to buy at the mall, she was about to turn and bolt back into the mall when the door of the mustang opened and a white man came out. "On second thought, let's just go, I'd get it another time. Hope you have food at home because if you're taking me to your house and you don't have food, better let's go to mine." She said and laughed as she locked hands with him. He opened the door to his black Ford Raptor 150 truck as he helped into the oversized truck, then he went around to the other side and got in. When they drove past, she looked at the blue mustang again and quickly blinked away the tears of old memories that was threatening to ruin her makeup.
