Chapter 43
Möbius
“We are here gorgeous.” I say when we get to her room, reluctantly placing her down.
She felt so warm in my arms, all I could focus on the whole time was her soft breathing. I could feel how tired she was, and I could sense the pain in her legs. I could also feel the gratitude radiating from her aura.
She is such a special and honest woman, she can't even hide her feelings.
What she shows is what she truly feels. Too bad she became human after the unmerge. And I'm sure she isn't safe here, but I'll do all I can to keep her safe. She is the only woman who awoke the beast in me after so many years.
I had this room specially cleaned, furnished and organized just for her.
I bought a new bed, beddings, a wardrobe and stashed it with the clothes that would suit her. I went all out to make her comfortable and feel at home.
I prepared for so long to have her here, I could sneak into her room and peek on the things she uses like her makeup, soap, and skincare routine products. I made sure she wouldn't lack a thing when she came here.
I knew she wouldn’t be comfortable here, so I made the room to look almost like hers so she could feel at home.
“It’s nice.” She says, looking around. “Wow, it's almost identical to my room.” She smiles, looking at me all impressed. My heart swells with happiness, at least she appreciates my efforts. She walks around, brushing her hands on everything, and smelling somethings. “Even the smell, wow.”
At least she appreciates my efforts. I put so much work, I did everything myself, the very first time to do everything on my own. I always have workers at my disposal, but something in me wanted to make her smile on my own. I'm so glad she likes it.
“I did it so you could feel more at home.” I say leaning on the door frame enjoying every little expression she makes. I guess this is why Owen abandoned who he was to be with her. She is a sight to behold. What hurts me is the fact that she doesn't look at me like she does him. I could see the love radiating from her eyes whenever she was with Owen. I know I could never get that from her.
“Thank you for helping me, and setting this up.” She smiles. “I would like to rest now.” She says, taking a seat on the bed and sighing.
She tries to smile, but I can clearly see the sadness in her eyes.
I have to get what I wanted from her then let her go, I’m not going to be the reason why she isn’t happy. Besides being a demon, I have a soft side, well, it’s too small though, only Ruby brings that out.
I remember the day I saw her in Owen's arms, I couldn’t believe it, I have lived for so many years, but I had never seen such a gorgeous woman before. What made me even more intrigued is the fact that she made my brother fall for her lie, and he didn’t even notice. That day she wasn’t even hurt or anything, she just wanted to go back to her home.
Owen is really lucky to have met her, I have waited for so long to find my own mate that I think she isn’t born yet. It’s so hectic waiting, so I’m thinking, what if I take her, what if I take Ruby away from Owen.
Let me not decide yet, I’m just going to wait for the thirty days, then I will know if I will keep her for myself.
“Hey… Möbius.” Her voice brings me back to reality.
“Yes.”
“Where is your mind at, I have been calling you. You were just standing there in a daze.” She asks, trying to get up from the bed.
“Oh, sorry, I was so deep in my head. You were saying.” I ask moving a little closer to her.
“I want to rest, so I was asking if you could excuse me.” She says, looking directly at me. “Please.” She adds.
“Oh alright, then I wish you a great night. If you need anything, dial 1 on the desktop phone and I will come right away.” I say to her, why did I feel bad when she said she wanted me to excuse her? “Before I forget, tomorrow you have to do something for me.”
Alarmed she stands. “Hey don't worry, it's noting bad, I just want you to accompany me to a meeting.” I say.
“And why should I accompany you, Möbius?” she asks, her eyes not even blinking. I love how bold she is. I thought we were growing closer but I guess I'm wrong. She obviously hates me.
“In order for me to have mercy on my brother, you need to obey me.” I say sternly, returning the same look.
“Oh, I see, so what if I refuse.” She asks, biting her lower lip.
“I will lock you up as well.” I say.
“Wow, I didn’t expect anything more from you, if you don’t get what you want, you rebel. It's fine, I will take the cell then. I don’t want to ever be seen with you. And as for Owen, he brought this to himself.” She says so firmly that I regret my words. I wasn’t really planning on locking her up, I just wanted to scare her.
“You people have ruined my life, you know.” She gets up and walks towards me, now we are just inches apart. “My life was just normal before I met your brother, but now, look at me now. What do you want with my life, what.” She shouts, tears streaming down her eyes. I really want to stretch my arm to wipe them, but I stop myself.
“Get out!!!” she adds when I open my mouth to say something. “Now.” She adds throwing her shoe at me. I didn’t even notice her taking it off, I dodge it, and it lands on the wall behind me.
I get out, close the door behind me and stay at the door, she cries for a while before she calms down. I only leave when I hear her soft breathing.
What am I going to do now? I don’t want to lose my position just because I don’t have a mate. Ruby was the perfect woman I could go to the meeting session with.
Oh! Right! She is basically human now, I will just have to hypnotize her, she has to come with me whether she wants it or not. I don’t care if she gets angry at me later.
I really didn't want to use force with her, but she leaves me no choice.
I appear in her room, and command her in my demon tone.
“You will come with me tomorrow.” I say looking at her, I feel my inner demon taking control, and she bows to me.
“Yes my king.” She says, her eyes not leaving mine. She then closes them and I disappear before she can open them again.
