Chapter 30

If you ask Roshini about Siddharth, she first looks at you widely, then slowly she will smile sheepishly and then her heart will start to race while uttering his name. While speaking she can't gather words to talk about him since she can't explain in words about what exactly Siddharth in her perspective. He is an unexpected person in her life where he came into her time all by himself and ruling her with his love and become the most required person in her life. She is fell into his heart, she can't get out of it and he doesn't want to let her out.

It's been a week since her third year started. Just a year then Siddharth will leave. It seemed there is a year but time will fly than anything, waiting each day will do nothing. So Roshini getting all her courage placed the letter inside the books that Siddharth gave for her to study since she is going to return a few of his books today now along with this she placed this letter hoping that he will see that.

And to that today was his birthday, she bought a gift too. A light sky-blue shirt she shopped with Nidhi where she bought a shirt for her husband, the gift isn't costly but she can afford only this. Nidhi is having the shirt as Roshini can't keep that in her home.

Today Roshini was very confident and happy that finally, she is going to express her love for the first time.

She giggled to think about what happens when Siddharth read that letter. God, stop imagining and go Roshini she said to herself and came out of her house.

When she was walking to the bus stop Nidhi also joined her. Nidhi became little fat compared to before marriage and her face was glowing with a smile.

"All ready right?" Nidhi asked and Roshini nodded her head and gave a thumbs up. Nidhi also knows about this plan since she is the one who gave this idea to her.

Getting on the bus Roshini gripped Nidhi's hand feeling the overwhelming excitement. She beamed and took a breath.

"Don't be afraid girl, just go, give the books and talk with him for some time and come back. Then wait for a week, if he didn't show any signs about that letter. Then talk about that book so that he will look into it. Even after that, he didn't mention anything then sorry to say he is not in love with you." Nidhi said and Roshini's face became dull.

"But I think he will look and the next moment he will run to you, then confesses his love by slamming his lips on yours," Nidhi said.

Roshini made a disgusting face hearing that. "Nidhi you are totally changed. I think Varun turned you like this," she said and they started giggling.

When they reached their class, Roshini again went to Siddharth's class to see whether he is there. Seeing his absence, she again went to her place in a disappointment.

Then the classes started and she sincerely started taking notes and listened to the lecture. After two periods she got a call from her mom.

Roshini thought why she is calling now and felt something odd, she went out and called her mom back.

"Hello, Amma?"

"Roshini... dad met in an accident," she cried while saying that.

"What? How?" She exclaimed without believing.

"When he was driving to his office, a truck crashed his vehicle from behind. Now come quickly," she cried and Roshini's eyes welled with tears.

Then asking about the hospital details she went back to her class. She started crying and told this to Nidhi while packing her bag.

"Hey, I will come along with you," Nidhi said and she nodded.

They both took an Auto rickshaw to reach there fast. Roshini couldn't believe the news, how can something happen like this all of a sudden, she thought and throughout the ride, she cried and prayed nothing should happen to her dad. Nidhi comforted her by telling encouraging words but whatever she says Roshini is terrified hearing this news and her mom's voice kept ringing on her ears.

When they reached the hospital, they headed to the room where his dad got admitted. Her mom came to her and started crying after noticing Roshini.

"Mom, please don't cry, what happened to dad?" Roshini asked.

"His both legs were fractured, and there is an injury on his head, I am scared Roshini," she cried and Roshini couldn't control her tears after that, she too started crying hugging her mom. Then Nidhi consoled them and asked to be strong.

Then Roshini's brother, her Aunt and her husband, her uncle (mom's brother) are all came. They waited until the doctor came to inform that he is fine but he can't walk properly from now on.

Hearing that Roshini world stopped at that moment. She can't believe it. Like a flash everything just collapsed.

Her mom cried in a hysteric tone and Roshini just stood frozen. Her uncle talked to the doctor and asked permission to go inside to see him.

First Roshini and her mom went in, seeing his legs and head were band-aided and he was still under the influence of Anesthetics. Roshini gripped his dad's hand and mentally asked him to come back soon as his old self but she knows that won't happen for now.

When she came out, her Aunt and uncle went inside. "How is dad?" Nidhi questioned.

"He is still unconscious," she mumbled.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine. Your dad will soon become normal," she lifted her up by her words.

Roshini just nodded her head. That time she heard her phone was ringing, Nidhi took Roshini's phone out and saw Siddharth name on the display. Nidhi showed and Roshini slides that red button keeping a stern face.

Then Siddharth again and again called, she totally switched off her phone and went to see her dad leaving her love outside.

Siddharth could sense there is something wrong. So he called Nidhi and asked about what happened to Roshini.

She told everything about the accident and her dad's current state. He immediately came there to meet Roshini throwing away all his enjoyments.

He came to the hospital within thirty minutes and met Roshini's mom, she knows him very well since Roshini told a lot about him to her but not her hidden love.

He said some kind words to embolden them, he asked Roshini to call him if she needs any help regarding the hospital fee. Until then Roshini doesn't know it is his own hospital. Siddharth called his dad and requested him to command the doctors to take a special care of Roshini's dad.

Vikranth was surprised since Siddharth never ask this kind of favors to him. Then he did what his son has said.

He stayed there for some time to check whether his dad has listened to his words. The hospital dean himself came and enquired about the treatment seeing that his heart calmed.

Roshini felt so thankful for Siddharth but that very moment she compared him and her, the reality has cleared the mist called love and made her aware that he is too much for her. When you are in a hard time, you get to realize a few things that you avoided to accept, it will hard but that is what reality.

He is not someone equal to her, he is the richest person in the city and she was just a struggling ordinary middle-class girl. The demon called inferiority complex entered her mind at that moment and made her love to lose this competition.

This realization has totally turned her gloomy, after him and Nidhi left. She sat thinking about how she is going to manage everything from now on.

Days passed, her dad got discharged from the hospital after three days, he couldn't walk at all without using the stick and for more six months the doctors asked him to take rest.

Roshini didn't go to college for that entire week, stayed beside her mom and dad. Her brother just now started going to medical school so couldn't take leave at that time.

Now the biggest burden on Roshini's shoulder is that how they are going to pay his brother's fee for the college and how she is going to study when she was in this difficult situation since her father can't work for an entire year.

Siddharth will call her daily and ask about her father's health, he came to know about her situation through Nidhi since Roshini avoided to tell him everything.

He wanted to help her and felt so sad about her situation, he can't take this any longer, and it depressed him to see Roshini's state and her tears.

So one day he went to his dad's office in the evening finishing his classes. He said openly about his love for Roshini and asked him to do something in this. Vikranth understood his son since he was in his situation too so he told him to bring Roshini and her brother here for applying for a scholarship in their trust running in his grandmother's name.

He felt happy and told this to Roshini. At first, she hesitated to take this offer but her family's condition eventually made her accept. She told this to her mom and dad and they also asked her and her brother to go and meet them.

Roshini met the representatives and they checked his brother's certificates; they approved the scholarship since her brother got the highest mark among all other applicants.

In the entire week so many things have happened, her dad's accident, her realization, and now Siddharth's help.

When she was at home, every relative who came to see her dad stated to Roshini that her family's wellness is on her hands and she has to look after her family from now on.

All these things ended her decision to never ever give that letter to Siddharth.
