Aaron's POV

I couldn't help but gaze fondly at my beloved Luna Isla and our precious newborn, a wave of happiness washing over me. How fortunate I was to have them both in my life. But as the room emptied and the silence filled the air, I knew it was time to take action.

Mt father, Alpha Leon's wise words echoed in my mind, urging me to approach this situation precisely and thoroughly. I couldn't allow my anger or suspicion to cloud my judgment. No, I needed to seek the truth.

I left the room, my steps purposeful as I ventured through the winding corridors of our packhouse. My mind raced, concocting strategies and plans, searching for the best action. Gathering as much information as possible became my priority, for I understood that uncovering the truth was crucial in safeguarding our pack. I could not allow this to go on any longer.

Finally, I found Sasha in the sanctuary of the office. Her gaze met mine, reflecting a tumult of fear and pain. It pained me deeply to witness her like this, but my responsibility as alpha demanded that I put our pack's welfare first.

"Sasha," I addressed her, my voice firm yet tinged with empathy, "I implore you to be utterly and unequivocally honest with me. Reveal everything you know about the warlock and any connections he may have within our pack."

As Celeste and Jameson entered the room, their expressions betraying shock, my beta stepped forward. "Alpha Aaron, please sit and lend your ears to their revelations. What they have to share is important," he explained urgently.

A sense of anticipation hung as my pack members gathered around me. Celeste's voice trembled slightly as she spoke, her words carrying weight. "The individual conspiring with this warlock is someone very close, Alpha Aaron," she disclosed, her eyes meeting mine solemnly. My heart quickened its beat, my curiosity piqued. "Who?" I demanded, unable to contain my impatience any longer. "Just tell me!"

And then, like a thunderbolt, Esmeralda stood in the doorway, her presence demanding attention. "It's your father, Leon. He is the traitor," she declared, her voice steady. The room fell silent, all eyes fixing on the revelation that had just been unveiled.

A mixture of disbelief, anger, and grief washed over me like a tidal wave. How could my father, the man who raised me, guided me, and nurtured me into the alpha I had become, be capable of such treachery? It felt like a betrayal of the most profound kind, shaking the very foundation of trust I had held for him.

My throat tightened, and words failed to escape my lips. "No, Esmeralda," I muttered, my voice barely audible. "There must be some mistake. This cannot be true."

Sorrow filled Esmeralda's eyes as she locked her gaze with mine. "I wish it were a mistake, Aaron," she began, her words measured and sincere, "But Sasha has provided undeniable proof. And all evidence points to your father's involvement."

As Jameson placed a hand on my shoulder, his expression mirroring the sorrow etched on his face, reality began to sink in. "Aaron, I've known Esmeralda for a long time, and her instincts have never failed us. We must listen and form a plan."

Silence enveloped the room as each of us grappled with the weight of this revelation. It was a moment that required unity and calculated decisions for the safety and well-being of our pack teetered on the edge of uncertainty.

Esmeralda laid out the meticulous evidence she had gathered, her voice steady and persistent. Clandestine meetings intercepted messages, and suspicious activities pointed to my father's involvement with the warlock. As she spoke, a jigsaw puzzle of details fell into place, connecting the dots in my mind. Recollections of my father's uncharacteristic secrecy and conversations that held a peculiar air resurfaced. The signs had always been there; my love for him blinded me.

Amidst the heavy silence, Jameson's voice sliced through the tension. "When will the traitor strike? We must protect our pack from any harm."

Esmeralda's gaze met mine, a profound sadness lingering within her eyes. "Aaron, we cannot afford to wait. Swift action is necessary to ensure the safety of our pack. I have formulated a plan to apprehend the warlock, but we must carefully handle your father. He must be kept away from Isla, Carrie, and the newborn. He cannot be trusted."

I yearned to believe that some mistake had been made, that my father was innocent. But the evidence amassed against him weighed heavily, and the preservation of our pack took precedence, especially the well-being of my mate and our newborn children. I glanced at Sasha and my beta, recognising the reflection of my turmoil in their expressions. Though it pained us all, we knew what needed to be done. Confronting my father and bringing him to justice was inevitable.

"Alpha, please accept my sincere apologies. I can only begin to fathom the tremendous challenge of embracing and processing this bewildering reality." Sasha's remorseful voice resonated with genuine empathy. She stood up and linked her arm to Nigels, who offered her a small smile but remained silent.

"We must confront your father," Esmeralda's resolute voice echoed through the room, leaving a trail of conviction in its wake. With a heavy heart, I nodded in agreement, absorbing the weight of the impending task. As I returned her gaze, my eyes burned with emotions as I prepared to face the upheaval that awaited us.

"Yes," I asserted, my voice carrying a commanding tone.

"We are here with you, Alpha. You have our full support," Celeste spoke with conviction, her voice resonating through the room. Jameson, standing by her side, gave a firm nod, his eyes reflecting the same dedication.

But I knew our path would not be without peril. "Isla and the children," I added, turning to Beta Nigel with a grave expression. "They must be closely supervised and guarded. Our pack's safety is of utmost importance. Ensure their utmost protection, Beta Nigel."
