I couldn't help but beam at the alpha of my pack. I felt fortunate to have him as mine. His support and love filled me with overwhelming gratitude. Wrapping my arms around him in a tight embrace, I cherished the safety and warmth of his presence.

"I love you so much," he whispered, his words melting my heart. The depth of my affection for him surpassed words - a love that he may never fully comprehend. His hand protectively cradled my growing bump, reminding me of the precious life we had conceived together.

"Inside you are our future, our little bundle of joy," Aaron exclaimed, his excitement contagious. His joyous anticipation brought forth a musical laughter from my lips.

Aaron's eyes sparkled with tenderness as he held me closer, his voice filled with pure adoration. "And you, my love, will be the most incredible mother. I can already picture our little one taking after your kind heart and radiant spirit."

My heart yearned to check on Carrie, my precious daughter, knowing that Olga, our trusted caregiver, always took excellent care of her. As I turned to make my way towards Carrie's nursery, I was startled by Olga's frantic approach. Her face twisted in panic; she shouted and screamed, her words a jumbled mess that I struggled to comprehend.

"What do you mean Carrie is missing?" I demanded, my heart skipping a beat at the thought of my precious baby girl in danger. My mother stood beside me, her presence a source of comfort and strength.

At that moment, Mrs Jenkins' haunting words tugged at my memory, a chilling reminder that this nightmare could have been foreseen.

Realising the gravity of the situation, Aaron swiftly took charge, issuing calm but assertive orders to bolster the security of our pack territory. We needed to halt any potential threats from entering or exiting, preserving our safety and increasing the chances of finding Carrie unharmed. I held tightly onto my mother's hand.

As we grappled with the question of who could be behind Carrie's disappearance, a heavy weight settled in my chest. Dark possibilities flitted through my mind, each more harrowing than the last.

“We will find her, Isla. We won't stop until we do." my mother promised me, and all I could do was nod while trying to hold back the tears in my eyes.

The thought of someone taking my precious Carrie away was unbearable. I couldn't bear to think of what they might do to her or where they might have taken her.

“How could you take your eyes off of her?” I growled at Olga, and her eyes widened in shock. I never had lost my temper with her before, nor had I spoken with such anger, but here I was.

“Luna Isla, I am so sorry. I only left the room for a moment.” she tried to explain.

I made my way to the nursery, hoping against hope that I would find some clue, something that might lead us to Carrie. As I entered the room, my heart sank at seeing the now empty crib. The pristine linens that once cradled my baby girl were a painful reminder of her absence.

Barely able to breathe, I looked around, searching for any sign of a struggle or anything that might give us a clue about who could have taken her. But the room was eerily still as if someone had vanished into thin air.

Olga joined me in the nursery. Her face was pale, and her hands trembled as she clutched onto a torn fabric she had found.

"I found this... it's a piece of the intruder's clothing, Isla," Olga whispered, her voice filled with fear and determination.

I took the torn fabric from her, my heart sinking further as I recognised its distinct pattern. There was no denying it now; Mrs Jenkins, or someone working for her, was behind this.
She had to be the one who had made this happen!

"It's Mrs. Jenkins. She's behind this." The realisation was like a wave crashing, leaving me gasping for air.

As the truth sank in, my strength wavered, and I crumbled to my knees. Tears streamed down my face, mixing with the dust on the ground. My mother rushed to my side, clutching me tightly, offering solace in her loving embrace while sharing in my pain.

“Isla. We will find our pup.” I felt Cleo's comforting presence in my mind, her soothing voice calming my racing thoughts. "You're right, Cleo," I replied, my voice shaky with fear and hope. "We won't stop until we find Carrie and bring her home safely."

Cleo's howl of agreement reverberated through my mind, filling me with fresh hope. Her loyalty strengthened me and reminded me we were not alone in this search.

"Isla, you cannot shift into your wolf," my mother reminded me with a firm tone, and her words resonated with truth. "I can sense that you are communicating with your Wolf," my mother interjected, her eyes filled with concern. "Aaron and the pack will locate Carrie. I have already reached out to a few hybrids to lend a hand," my mother reassured me, her voice steady and determined.

Aaron came stomping into the room, looking straight at me. “Isla, please relax. I have this under control. We will stop at nothing to find Carrie," he declared. "Our pack will work closely with the hybrid pack, utilising every resource to track her down. Isla, I need you to stay focused and not stress as it will hurt our unborn.” he stroked my safe and spoke softly. I nodded and straightened my back. He was right. I had to stay strong and trust that Carrie would be back in my arms safe and sound.

“We would leave no stone unturned in our quest to find Carrie and bring her back home.” Beta Nigel appeared in the doorway with Sasha, who rushed to hug me.

“Stay with her, please,” Nigel said to Sasha, who nodded profusely. “Of course.”

“Esmeralda, we need your help.” Aaron turned to my mother, who rose to her feet and followed Aaron and Nigel as they left the room to join In the search.
