Rian and Lucas

After plenty of struggling, Ava finally gave up trying to fight him. Lucas had clearly proven that he wasnt going to leave until she at least allowed both of them to talk. She then decided to let him say what he had to say so he could be on his way when he was done.

He allowed her a few minutes to put on her clothes, before she returned to sit on her rocking chair in front of him, waiting for whatever it was he had to say. Seeing that he had her attention, he took a deep breath before he began.

What could this guy be doing in Avas room so early in the morning? The sun hadnt even come out yet! Hes definitely not from this pack; Rian has never seen him here before, so where did he come from? And what had he been doing with Ava in there?

Lucas had his own questions in his mind, including why Ava was receiving visitors so early in the morning, but when he put two and two together, he realized that this must be Avas mate-to-be, the one she was supposed to get married to today.

Lucas only shot him a dangerous glare, but it was either that Rian didnt pay enough attention, or he was too stupid to comprehend.
