Rian's confession

“Good evening, sire, Kain greeted as he entered the alphas chambers.

Lucas acknowledged him, dropping the pen in his hand as he got up to meet with his guard, Good evening, Kain. So, how did it go today?

Kain bowed, the guard delivered the package successfully. Avas maid would have given her by now.

“Did he tell you how she was doing? What about the baby? He inquired.

“They are both doing well, sire. Very much fine indeed.”

He then heaved a sigh, thank you Kain, and do give the delivery guy a tip for me, Ill be sending more packages soon.

“Yes, I will sire there were some certain things her guard also told me

There was a hint of desperation in his eyes as he asked the questions, What?? Is it about Ava?

“Yes sire”

“Tell me. Did she say anything?

“Well, I dont know the best way to say this, but. she misses you, sire. Not a day goes by that she doesnt mention your name according to his words.

Silence. Lucas didnt respond to what Kain said immediately, like he was thinking it in his mind.

After minutes passed, Lucas dismissed him, thank you for telling me. Youre a good servant, Kain.

Kain then bowed again before leaving, with all pleasure, sire.

Lucas didnt go back to his work, only kept on pondering on what the guard just told him, just pondering.

Ava and Rian had gone some distance before Ava decided it was time to go back, as it was already far into the evening.

“I think its time go back Rian; I dont want the night to catch us out here.

“Dont worry, Ava. Well return on time, lets just enjoy the wonderful evening we have together.

“Please Ava. You know that we dont really get much time like this together.

She considered his words, and then agreed, fine, but please let me rest my legs now. I can already feel my tummy getting heavier.

“Oh Im sorry dear... I didnt realize this, dont worry. Lets go sit under that shade. Well rest your legs for a while and then well head back.

So, they continued their conversation seated underneath the big tree, enjoyed the cool evening breeze, and Rian didnt know when he started again with his praises.

“Oh, Ava. You dont know how good it feels to be right by you right by your side at this moment.

“Thank you, Rian. It feels good to be with you too, she said formally.

“Its not just in an ordinary way, Ava. Whenever Im with you, I find it hard to control myself, to control these feelings.

He was at it again. Ava didnt know what to tell him at this point; maybe she shouldnt have agreed to this walk.

Rian saw that his words made her a bit uncomfortable, but he continued anyway. Ava needed to know the truth, its so difficult to keep his feelings aside once hes with her, and now, its like he cant control himself any longer.

“You dont have to say anything dear. I just said these things because I couldnt hold it in any longer, and now that you know, I am much more relieved.

“Rian, you do realize that I am pregnant, with someone elses child?

“I know, it sounds so improper but honestly, I dont mind at all. I am ready to love this baby as much as I love you, and become its father. Ill do that and so much more for you, Ava. I want to marry you I want us to be mated, joined, with alpha Daryls blessings.

He sensed her hesitation, Rian I dont think I

“I am Mr. Romantic. The one whos been sending you all those gifts, I am the one, Ava. I love you, Ava, and I want to get mated to you soon. Please do not reject me.

Ava honestly doesnt know what to tell Rian now, does he think that sending her anonymous gifts and messages will change the way she feels? Rian has been such a good friend; it feels bad to hurt him now.

“Please, Ava say something you can say you love me; you can say you dont, but either way, I want to get mated to you. I want to stand in as the father of your child. Please, do not reject me, Ava.”

Sighs, Rian just give me some time to think this over.

He nodded his head, realizing the pressure he was putting on her at that point, Im so sorry and I understand that this came too suddenly, but I love you, Ava, and I am certain that one day, you will be mine.

After they returned from the walk, Ava and Rian had dinner in the packs dining hall with the rest of the Daivie, and then after that, he walked her to her room and bid her goodnight, as she was about turning, he grabbed her by the waste and took her mouth. It was a small kiss, but one that Ava did not expect, and certainly was not pleased by.

“Im sorry, he muttered as he released her mouth. I dont know what came over me.

She turned her back, good night, Rian, before she shut the door behind her snappily, heaving a deep sigh now that she was back in her room; all alone again.

Why did he have to do that? She admired their friendship, but this friend of hers was going too fast, way too fast for her liking.
