Chapter 465 A Stroke of Luck

Chapter 465 A Stroke of Luck

The next morning, Isabella was jolted awake by the buzzing of her phone.

Michael, still half-asleep, handed her the phone, mumbling, "It's Olivia."

Isabella took the phone, eyes barely open, and answered, "Hey, Olivia, what's up?"

"Isabella, are you seriously still in bed? How can you sleep at a time like this? Check your social media right now! There are tons of comments, and people keep messaging me about you."

"What?" Isabella was instantly wide awake.

She quickly opened her account and saw that the video she posted last night had gone viral, with countless comments flooding in.

Olivia continued, "Your account only follows me, and now my inbox is blowing up. I had to figure out what was going on. What happened? Why did you post that video? Who's the woman in it?"

Isabella explained, "It's a woman who tried to hit on Michael. I thought my account was pretty much dead, so I didn't think many people would notice. I'm sorry, Olivia, for dragging you into this."

"It's fine, really. I'm glad people are seeing what a shameless woman she is. She deserves it. If you need me to share it, I can help."

"No need, enough people have seen it already, and the Castillo Group has noticed. I don't want to involve you any further," Isabella quickly declined.

After hanging up, Michael asked, "What's this video about?"

He had already seen the video on his phone. Although only Kerena's face in lingerie was visible, and the other person was blurred, he recognized himself immediately.

"Do you really not remember anything from last night?" Isabella asked curiously.

She saw Michael clearly rejecting her several times in the video. How could he not remember any of it?

"No, I don't remember. It felt like a dream. I dreamt of a smelly woman who claimed to be you. I pushed her away, and finally saw you, then fell asleep peacefully," Michael answered truthfully.

Isabella couldn't help but laugh, placing her hands on his shoulders and praising him, "You're truly a model of a good man. Even in that situation, you could tell it wasn't me and firmly rejected her. As a reward, you can make one request, and as long as it's not too much, I'll agree."

Michael was stunned by the sudden happiness!

But more than happiness, he was curious about what happened last night.

Isabella told him everything the bodyguard had said and what she saw on the surveillance footage.

Michael listened, his face turning green with anger!

"That crazy woman, she... she's absolutely despicable!"

"Yeah, I was furious thinking about her taking advantage of you. So, in a fit of anger, I posted the video online and alerted her family's company. I didn't expect such a big reaction. Michael, do you think I caused trouble?"

Isabella asked anxiously.

"Of course not, Isabella, you did the right thing. Dealing with such shameless women requires this kind of lesson," Michael said righteously.

Isabella smiled, cupping his face, "It seems you weren't tempted at all last night."

"Of course not, but I was angry. Thinking about that female rogue taking advantage of me makes me mad. Isabella, I'm not clean anymore, you can't despise me."

Michael immediately acted cute, snuggling up to Isabella like a wronged puppy.

Isabella was amused, pushing him away with a laugh, "I don't despise you, I feel sorry for you. Now get up and clean yourself, I'll make chicken soup for you."

"No need, let the maid handle it. You stay with me," Michael said, holding her tightly.

They stayed close for a while before separating. After Michael showered, they went downstairs to eat.

Aaron was already downstairs, working while waiting for Michael.

Seeing them come down, he quickly stood up and handed Michael a report.

"Mr. Johnson, here's the latest acquisition information. Also, regarding the Castillo Group..."

"Let's eat first, we'll talk after," Michael interrupted.

Aaron nodded and returned to the living room to continue working.

After Michael and Isabella finished eating, they went to the living room to hear Aaron's report.

"The Castillo Group's stock plummeted today, thanks to that video. Marvin, the eldest son of the Castillo Family, has stepped in. He and Freya have always been in cahoots, they're a team. But Matt, the second son, gave an interview this morning, subtly blaming Marvin for poor upbringing."

"It seems there's already internal strife within the Castillo Family over this matter," Michael chuckled.

He wanted the Castillo Family to be in chaos; only then would he have an opportunity.

He hadn't expected Isabella to inadvertently create the perfect conditions for him.

"I've arranged for someone to step in. If they can calm this storm, they'll secure a position within the Castillo Group," Aaron added.

"Tell Donald to stay neutral. If he wants to achieve great things, he should wait for others to exhaust themselves. Also, the video was posted by Isabella. I don't want this to affect her," Michael instructed.

"Understood," Aaron nodded and left to make arrangements.

Donald called Michael, surprised, "Did you post the video?"

"No," Michael denied, "I was drunk and knew nothing. Your family must have offended many people. Maybe someone else did it. Remember, no matter how chaotic your family gets, be patient and don't rush."

"Alright, I'll listen to you. Our family is in turmoil now. My father scolded Marvin harshly, and Freya spoke up for Marvin, only to get slapped. It's the first time my father has hit her publicly in years. He must be really angry."

Kerena's disgrace was minor; her reputation wasn't important.

Such scandals among wealthy families weren't uncommon. The problem was the timing.

The Castillo Group had been working hard to build a positive image.

Kerena's scandal ruined everything, and Royce was understandably furious!

After a brief exchange with Donald, Michael hung up and proudly told Isabella, "Isabella, you've done something amazing."

Isabella replied, "I didn't think much at the time, just wanted to teach her a lesson. I didn't expect it to work out so well. Silvermist City is too dangerous. When are we leaving?"

"Tomorrow at noon, everything's arranged," Michael answered.

Isabella nodded, then suddenly remembered something and reminded Michael, "Thanks to Aria noticing something was wrong yesterday, you were saved in time. Shouldn't you call her to thank her?"

"Forget it," Michael replied without hesitation, "Let her think I'm an ungrateful jerk. It's better for her that way."
