Logan and Yvette were quite stunned when the got to the room, shattered glasses laid on the ground and the door was out of place.
"What the hell happened in here?" Logan asked knowing he wouldn't get any answers.
Yvette rid the bed of any pieces of glass before letting Logan lay her down.
"Increase the temperature of the room" he ordered walking out of the door, he needed to know the reason for Ian's rash decision.
Yvette increase the temperature of the room, warmed up Diane's cold body with hot water before changing her clothes, then she covered her up in thick blankets.
She then made an attempt to clean up the room, as she was doing so she noticed a tiny drop of blood on the floor which she linked to Diane's bruised lips, she felt pity for Diane.
Once she was done arranging she returned to Diane's side.
Meanwhile, once Logan got to Ian's room he met his body on the floor with blood trails, he looked and and caught the sight of a blood stained sword.
"Damned soul" he cursed lightly.
He carried up his body and laid him on the bed before removing his shirt, the wound was not deep but he had lost a lot of blood through it. Logan fetched a clean cloth and a bucket of water to clean Ian's wound, as he cleaned he notice Ian's expressions jiggle between normal and worried.
"If you are that worried why did you hurt her so badly?" He asked.
"What the hell did she do to warrant that kind of treatment?" He asked again.
Once he was done cleaning he dressed Ian's wound, when he was about done Ian woke up. They made a weird exchange of eye contact before Ian finally asked.
"How is she?"
"Why don't you go see for yourself" he replied bluntly.
"I can't believe you hurt your ego so badly you needed me to ce bail you out" Logan said and Ian scoffed.
"What the hell could she have done?" He asked and Ian stayed silent for a while.
"We need to increase the security of the villa" he said finally.
"Why? Did someone attack the villa?" He asked.
"Worse" Ian replied coldly his mind was slowly going back to the event of the night.
"Rogues?" He asked, thinking of how that connected to him punishing Diane.
"Luke" he said coldly.
"Luke attacked the villa?" He asked surprised.
"He did not attack the villa, he snuck in and met Diane" he said angrily with a low grunt.
"And how did you find out? Did you meet him?" Logan asked.
"No"
"Then how?"
"The mating bond.. It's messing the fuck with me" he replied cluelessly.
"The mating bond alerted you?" Logan asked a bit confused.
"How?" He asked.
"I don't know man, I think he touched her"
"And she denied it when clearly I could smell him off her" he replied.
"And then you got jealous?" He asked.
"Hell no" he replied.
"Then why are you angry?"
"He touched what's mine" Ian replied coldly.
"And when did you become so possessive over a woman you did not care about?" He asked.
"I didn't but does it not prove me weak if I stand and watch Luke tread on my lands, walk into my house and meet any one he pleased?" He asked.
"Is that it? Is that why you have kept her hanging for her Life?" He asked and Ian scoffed.
"He was around here, I could feel his presence but I could not get to the source of his scent, it was everywhere because of the rain, if I couldn't get to him, making him watch her lover suffering so helplessly was the the best warning I could give to him" he replied.
"And if she is on a thin thread for her life then she deserved it" he continued.
"Then why did you slash yourself with a sword? Did you feel bad?" Logan asked.
"No" he replied.
"If that's what you say, it's your family issue you deal with it yourself" Logan said in an attempt to leave.
"She's not family, she will never be deserving of the title" he said and Logan nodded thoughtlessly, he was not willing to argue with Ian, whether it was because he felt jealous or because she was already family.
"I will take your leave now Alpha, we will discuss the Villa's security later in the day please find rest for your wounds to heal" he said as he walked out of the door.
When Ian was alone, he changed his cloth and tried to catch sleep but he couldn't, after a while of feeling uneasy about the night activity he got out of the bed and headed for Diane's room a tiny feeling of guilty conscience following his actions.
When he got there he didn't step in but the broken door gave him a good sight of everything that was going on.
"She's not waking up, but she has started to shiver and her temperature is on the increase" a physician said to Yvette.
"Is there a way to wake her up?" Yvette asked
"She's sweating and shivering which means she has moved out of the unconscious state and is now subconscious, like a sleep, depending on the deepness of her sleep, she can be woken up normally or by extreme measures"
"Like?" A cold voice asked.
The physician and Yvette turned to face the Alpha, bowing their heads in respect.
"I don't think we will have to go that direction unless she does not wake up today" the physician replied and Ian nodded.
'Do I warm her up or cool her down?' Yvette mindlinked with the physician.
'You said she was forced to stay under the rain for three hours why?' The physician asked.
'Well, the Alpha..' She was about to mind link back when she was suddenly cut off.
"Can you bother quit it with the mind link? If you have something to say speak up" he ordered
"Well the Miss shivers and sweats at the same time so I was wondering if I should cool her down or warm her up?" Yvette blurted out hastily in a bid to not annoy the Alpha.
"Well she shows the sign of a fever so she be cooled down with a cold bath or something, it would be effective in bringing down the fever and hopefully waking her up too" the physician replied.
"But she suffers from a cold" Yvette objected.
"Have you never heard of a poison being the antidote?" She asked and Yvette was a bit stunned.
"Well we will deal with the cold when she wakes, do call me when that happens" she said handing her business card to the Alpha seductively as she walked wards the door. She could not help admitting how tensed up she was by the Alpha's presence, his aura and his manly beauty, he was truly as the female wolves described him, she knew she had to leave because if she had spent another second in there she might had not been able to hold herself back, for a while she had even wondered the relationship between the Alpha and the unconscious wolf but she canceled every thought of a romantic relationship between them because she heard that he was the one who had punished her mercilessly under the rain when she was coming in to the villa, and judging from the way he stood and watch from afar how she was being taken care of, she could attribute his feelings to that of guilt, she knew she was delusional thinking about the Alpha in this way because he was way out of his league and there were even tales of him being bethrothed but surely not to that woman, anyways she was grateful for being able to breathe in the same air that he did.
"You may retire for the night" Ian ordered Yvette after she was done with Diane's bath.
"The Miss needs care" she stylishly objected.
"Do I need to repeat myself?" He asked and she hastily walked out of the room, she had mixed feelings about the Alpha staying with Diane but judging from the fact that she was choiceless in the face of the Alpha and that he was the one who took Diane to the bath tub and brought her back, she decides to be faithful and pray for her safely.
"And don't you dare peek afterwards" he threatened as she got to the door and she nodded in fear walking out of the room.
Ian glanced at Diane's weak looking face.
"I can't believe you are the reason I am being called weak" he said.
He watched over her through the night, drying out her sweats in between the night.
