Chapter 234
Meanwhile, the taillights of Milton's car gradually disappeared into the night.
Lucinda stood on the steps in front of the club. The night breeze lifted a few strands of her hair, lending her an air of cool, solitary detachment.
The moment she turned around, she looked up and saw a tall, imposing figure striding toward her.
In Reginald's long fingers, he carried her delicate Dior handbag securely.
"Lucinda." Reginald stopped in front of her and handed over the bag with care, his voice carrying a hint of pride. "All packed up. Nothing's missing."
Lucinda looked at him—so strikingly different from his usual self—and couldn't help but curve her lips slightly.
She took the bag and reached up to lightly pinch his strikingly handsome face. "Good boy."
Hearing those two words, Reginald's gaze darkened instantly. Two blazing flames ignited in the depths of his eyes.
He'd always been restrained. But in this moment, the surging emotion in his chest could no longer be suppressed.
With one long arm, he pulled her dominantly into his embrace.
"Not enough," he murmured low.
The next second, his tall frame bent down, bringing with it scorching heat. His lips crashed onto hers.
A warm, tingling sensation spread across her lips. Lucinda stiffened slightly, a rare flash of surprise crossing her cool eyes.
This was their first kiss.
She'd always been the one in control—accustomed to setting the pace of everything. This sudden kiss truly caught her off guard.
But soon, the familiar crisp scent from his lips and breath enveloped her. That extreme tenderness made her heart tremble faintly.
Surprisingly, she didn't dislike this kiss.
In fact… it felt rather nice.
The surprise faded. Clarity returned to Lucinda's eyes.
She raised an eyebrow. Instead of retreating, she let him continue. And just as he tried to deepen the kiss further, she suddenly turned the tables.
Lucinda's hand, which had been resting on his waist, tightened slightly. She slid it upward and hooked it around Reginald's neck.
She tilted her head slightly, her teeth grazing his lower lip in a soothing, teasing bite.
In an instant, the initiative Reginald had started with fell completely back into Lucinda's hands.
Like a queen reigning from on high, she leisurely guided the rhythm of the kiss—drawing near, then pulling away—leaving the man's breathing increasingly ragged.
Reginald's mind went completely blank. Fireworks exploded inside his head.
He gave up all resistance, willingly sinking into the rhythm she commanded, passively receiving the intoxicating sensations she gave him. His eyes were filled with affection so deep it couldn't be dissolved.
The night was soft and intimate. The two kissed inseparably in the shadows beneath the steps.
Meanwhile, hiding behind a pillar, Allegra's eyes were practically bulging out of her skull!
She dug her nails into her thigh, trembling all over from the pain, but the scream stuck in her throat.
That man in the black suit…
She'd originally planned to approach him and tattle on Lucinda. But before she could even take a step, he was already kissing Lucinda right out in the open?!
What drove her even more insane with jealousy was that she could see it clearly—that noble, cold man was as docile as a puppet in front of Lucinda, completely led by the nose!
Allegra ground her teeth so hard they made audible sounds.
Her hands trembling, she pulled out her phone again and frantically pressed the shutter button.
In the photos, Lucinda had been embracing the elegant second son of the Douglas family just moments ago—affectionate hugs, gentle touches to his hair.
The next second, she'd turned around and was passionately kissing this cold, distinguished man in black in the shadows!
"Slut… what a shameless slut!"
Allegra stared at the explosive photos on her phone, so furious she nearly smashed it on the ground.
Why?
Marshall had left in a huff over ten million dollars, yet Lucinda—this country bumpkin—could have top-tier men falling head over heels for her in the blink of an eye?
Heaven must be blind!
But…
Allegra took a deep breath, forcibly suppressing the roiling jealousy in her chest.
She looked at the photos in her hand, a sinister, cold smile slowly spreading across her face.
'Lucinda, you handed me this leverage yourself. Two-timing. Let's see how you survive today!'
The long kiss finally ended under Lucinda's lead.
She was slightly breathless. She released him and patted Reginald's chest. "I'm going to the restroom. Wait for me in the car."
Reginald, his eyes slightly red from the kiss and clearly wanting more, obediently nodded. "Okay. I'll do as you say. Come back soon. I'll wait for you."
Lucinda turned back toward the first-floor lobby and walked into the empty restroom.
She turned on the faucet, about to wash her hands, when a figure suddenly appeared in the mirror behind her.
Allegra walked in on high heels, her face full of arrogance and smugness.
She reached back and locked the restroom door firmly.
Lucinda didn't stop what she was doing. She didn't even lift an eyelid. She simply walked around Allegra, heading for the exit.
This dismissive attitude instantly ignited Allegra's fury.
She let out a cold laugh, rushed to the sink, and shoved her phone screen right in front of Lucinda's face. "Lucinda, open your eyes and look carefully!"
On the screen were the photos from just minutes ago—Lucinda embracing Milton, and Lucinda kissing Reginald passionately.
Allegra's face was full of contempt. "Two-timing, huh? Playing it pretty slick, aren't you? Stringing along that elegant guy on one side, then turning around and making out with the man in the black suit! Lucinda, you're absolutely shameless. Do you have any sense of decency left?"
Lucinda pulled out a paper towel and methodically wiped the water from her fingertips.
She slowly turned her head. Her eyes—cool as a frozen pond—landed on Allegra's face without a trace of warmth. "You took pictures of me without my permission?"
It was a simple statement, but it carried a bone-chilling coldness that sent shivers down the spine.
Allegra flinched under that gaze, but remembering the ironclad evidence in her hands, her confidence surged back.
She crossed her arms and lifted her chin with a sneer. "Without permission? What, you can do it but can't own up to it? You pull these lowdown, shameless stunts seducing men, and you won't let people photograph it? Let me tell you—if I send these photos to Marshall, to those two men, let's see how you survive in Seaside City! You two-timing whore…"
A sharp, crisp slap echoed through the empty restroom!
Allegra's words cut off abruptly.
The force sent her stumbling several steps to the side. Half her face instantly swelled red, and a trace of blood seeped from the corner of her mouth.
"You… you hit me?" Allegra clutched her face, shrieking in disbelief.
Lucinda stood in place, looking down at the disheveled Allegra as if she were looking at a pile of trash. "If you're not going to use your brain, donate it to someone who needs it. Don't disgust me here."
"Lucinda!"
Allegra stomped her foot in rage, screaming hysterically like a madwoman.
