CHAPTER 43

"Every wait has a worth."

Third Person's POV:

Marco stopped his car in front of the warehouse and got out of it as four of his men followed behind him in their suits with heads held high. Marco himself entered the door wearing all black. He walked through the corridor and turned left, where two of his men were guarding the door.

They bowed as soon as they saw him.

"Boss." Marco nodded at them, and they opened the door for him.

Because he was the second-in-command, everyone respected Marco as much as they respected Massimo. The only difference was that they were scared to even look into Massimo's eyes.

Marco entered the dimly lit room, where a naked man was hanging upside down from a rope attached to the ceiling. He smirked when he saw that the prisoner's chest was covered with cuts and blood. When the man saw Marco, he tried to laugh through his bloody mouth and broken teeth. "He didn't come? Aveva paura? Tsk, tsk. Figa." (Was he afraid? Tsk, tsk. Pussy) He shook his head tauntingly.

Marco smirked at his attempt to act brave. "You should thank God that he didn't come because otherwise, you wouldn't be breathing right now. But that doesn't mean I will have mercy on you," Marco said as he roundhouse kicked the guy. "I am here to ask some questions. If you answer them truthfully, your death will be easy. Otherwise, you will know what I am capable of." Marco turned to one of his men and motioned for him to bring a chair. Once it arrived, he sat on the chair a little distance away from the man hanging from the ceiling.

"I will not answer any of your questions," the men seethed, shaking lightly because he knew what Marco was capable of. Everyone who was related to any gangs or mafia knew what Marco Goviani was capable of.

While Massimo Feorenzo killed, Marco tortured people to death. And it was not a good sight to see.

"Well, you'll have to." Marco sighed. "Why were you following Kaylee Jenn? Who sent you?" Marco asked, leaning in.

The man had a sadistic smirk on his face as he laughed. "That chick…damn, man, Massimo really hit the lottery." He smiled, looking straight into Marco's eyes. But when he saw Marco smirking, his smile faded.

"Loosen the rope," Marco said, and instantly, the prisoner's head was just barely above ground. He yelped. "You are not going to do it the easy way, right?" He moved his chair closer to his face. The man didn't reply, and Marco took it as a 'yes.'

"Hard way it is, then," Marco said, and one of his men handed him a box. Marco's smirk widened. "Time to play," he said and held out a sharp knife. "Are you looking at this? It is so sharp. Just like Fiona's tongue," he said, touching it. He froze when his own words registered in his head, and he laughed loudly at what he had just said. They had just slipped out of his mouth.

Gosh, that girl. Marco put the knife on the guy's belly button and started to make a big cut up to the middle of his chest. The guy screamed and started moving like a fish out of water. "Hold him," Marco said, and two men held the prisoner on either side. "This is just the beginning," he said and smirked. Motioning with a finger laden with rings, Marco gestured for one of his men to give him a packet full of salt. The prisoner's eyes were closed as he screamed from the pain, blood oozing out of his body.

Marco's man filled his hand with salt and rubbed it against the man's wound. He suddenly jerked and screamed at the top of his lungs.

Marco laughed. "Who is being pussy now?" He laughed again.

"Laugh as much as you want because soon, your boss will have your head on a tray because his beautiful whore will be kidnapped," the prisoner spat out.

"And do you think kidnaping a Dona will be easy?" Marco asked, amused. "Are you forgetting that she's Massimo Feorenzo's girl?" Marco laughed again.

The man laughed at him. "She must be kidnapped by now."

"Who sent you?" Marco asked seriously.

"You will never get that information out of me," the guy said, and Marco stood up.

"Put a bag over his mouth and cut his air supply from time to time. Inject him so he won't be able to move and keep rubbing salt and red pepper on his wounds." With that order, Marco left to make a call.
