Chapter 51 - Shape-shifting
~~~ Hayden ~~~
The sheet that was covering her frame earlier slid down, her gorgeous naked body is pressed against my erection. I would not have worn any clothes, if not for the fact that I had to run after Gabriel, only to land more troubles than solutions.
Never mind that. Feeding her my blood is nothing like I imagined it would be, instead of pain, it’s only pleasure. Ravishing, tantalizing pleasure.
She shifts her body making herself more comfortable in my lap, straddling me, her lips never leaving my neck. And with every second that passes, my cock grows harder. It’s too fucking painful, if I don’t bury myself in her, I feel like I’m going to die.
The feeling is mutual, she moans as she sucks blood out of my vein, and without a warning, she unzips my pants and draws out my shaft. And when she slowly pushes herself into it, a lustful growl escapes my mouth.
I know that she fed enough of me, but the grinding of her body while she’s impaled into my dick makes it hard to concentrate, I’m at her mercy, she can do whatever she pleases with me.
~~~ Allaya ~~~
His blood is like a drug, I am aware that I have to stop before I harm him, but I can barely control myself. I almost reach an orgasm when his thick fat cock penetrates my pussy, and I hold onto his broad shoulders like there’s no tomorrow, rocking my body against his in a slow agonizing motion.
My eyes snap wide as I feel him losing the rhythm, I fight my inner beast to regain my self-composure and I don’t exaggerate when I say that it takes all the willpower in the world to stop myself, to put an end to my craving for my mate’s sweet enticing crimson liquid of life. His blood.
I remove my lips from his neck, inhaling his scent like a drowning human in need of oxygen, then I enhance the rhythm, to pump some life back into him. He tightens the grip on my waist, and pounds into me with every strength left in his body, until we both reach our climax.
“I’m sorry…” I apologize, guilt washing over me in a cold wave.
I could have killed him.
I could have ended his life because I’m weak, incapable of controlling myself.
I didn’t even know that I had it in me, the thirst for blood.
If I am to think about it, it’s not the first time this has happened. There was that time when I caught my ex-boyfriend, Elijah, fucking my step sister, Elena. But it was different then. It was not craving, but some sort of darkness that has gotten onto me.
What if there is something evil about me? What if at some point I’ll snap and I’m too powerful to be stopped?
“Don’t torture yourself!” He drags me out of my inner torment, pulling my body so that I lay down on his chest, then he caresses my hair. “I think you did great, for being your first time. And to be honest, I was a fool for not thinking that you’d also need blood to survive.”
Whenever I’m with Hayden, touching him, leaning on him, he somehow manages to calm my inner turmoil. I don’t know how he does it, but he had this effect on me. He had it from the start.
“Hey… where is your mind drifting again?” He inquires, pressing his lips on my forehead.
“Nowhere.” I answered reluctantly, knowing that it’s a lie.
“You know that you can tell me anything, right? Whatever bothers you, I want to know, and we’ll solve it together.”
Is this how a healthy relationship should be? I never had any of this with Elijah.
“I’m actually scared that I might have trouble controlling my powers. A few days ago, I was a nobody, and now I’m a hybrid who also possesses magical powers. Even with my mother’s memories, it still feels like I’m walking on eggshells.”
There, I said it.
He cups my face between his hands and gazes at me lovingly. “I’ll be by your side every step you take. You just have to learn how to reign over your abilities.”
“It’s easier said than done.”
My insecurities are overwhelming me. As I stay here, in his arms, I feel loved and protected, but at the same time, I’m afraid that something will happen and I’ll fall from cloud nine directly on my ass.
“You know what, love? I know exactly what you need. Plus, there is someone that wants to meet you. Well… formally.” He winks, driving my heart to skip some beats.

As we walked past the gardens, meeting vampires on our path, my anxiety levels reached sky high. I realized that I might be on enemy territory, even if this castle belonged to my family. I have not been properly introduced, and I don’t know what everyone thinks about my existence.
To be honest, after the heat overpowered me, there was nothing in my mind except making love with Hayden, but as it passed, my head became clearer. I have meetings to arrange, and I have a monster to find and sentence to Eternal Sleep.
Then I need to spend some quality time with my father and brother. And my uncle.
“Allaya, baby, you’re doing it again! You are anywhere else, but here!”
True. He is right. I’m an ungrateful mess.
I smile and try my best puppy eyes. “Where are you going?”
“We are almost there. You’ll see!”
“Why don’t you tell me? I hate surprises!” I pout, but it’s not working.
“Close your eyes and have a little patience!”
“Argh!” I grunt in frustration, then obey his wish to close my eyes.
But I’m not a good sport, so I take a peek, the scene unfolding before my eyes was not what I had expected.
He takes his clothes off, displaying the most polished body I have ever seen, and I don’t mind that. In fact, I grow horny instantly, but then his bones break and re-adjust as he’s shape-shifting into a huge wolf.
My heartbeats accelerate as my eyes are taken in the beautiful black wolf that I spotted in the forest on his birthday, the same gorgeous beast that shielded me with his body at that ceremony.
My mate.
My fated one.
He inches closer to me and I drop my body on the ground, leaning against a tree.
Should I pet him? Would he like that?
He stares at me for a few moments, then he settles his body on the ground as well, putting his head in my lap. I run my hand through the thick soft fur and he gazes at me with warm eyes, as if he’s trying to convey something.
He is wagging his tail, so I suppose he enjoys my touch. I’m delighted as well.
“You like that, don’t you?”
He tilts his head, then licks my hand, and it makes me wonder if I too can shape-shift into a wolf.
I should be able to do it, shouldn’t I? I’m part werewolf.
But how?
‘It’s easy. You just have to focus, be one with nature.’ Pandora speaks in my mind. ‘Imagine yourself as a wolf and you’ll morph into one!’
She didn’t communicate with me lately, but I just realized that she’s always present anyway. She’s part of me, one with me.
‘I’ll give it a try.’
I clear my mind of worries and instead try to concentrate on the sounds of nature. The wind that blows through the trees, the birds that are happily chirping, the bees that are buzzing, the…
Dammit, it’s not working! I roll my eyes in annoyance, I’ve never been able to meditate anyway.
With no warning whatsoever, the air becomes cold and we’re surrounded by more vampires that I can count. And they seem dangerous, up to no good.
Hayden’s demeanor changes suddenly, he grits his fangs at them, trying to shield me. Then everything happens in slow motion. They all attack at the same time, and all I can see is my mate’s precious blood spilled on the ground. The same blood that is like a drug to me, but instead of enticing me, I shiver at the thought of watching my mate die.
His fur is red, while I’m unharmed, he protected me from any single vampire that tried to force his way in my direction.
Rage is stirring inside me, and Pandora feels restless. In a few seconds, I hear my bones cracking and she takes control, I shape-shift into a wolf. A huge wolf.
I take a moment to examine myself, the parts I can spot, anyway. Shock is coursing through my veins as my eyes explore the snow white, long fur that covers my body. I would have loved what I’m seeing, if not for the fact that we’re under attack.
My vision is enhanced, my senses are on high alert, while all their attention is on me. Everybody stares at me as if I’m a freak of nature, something unseen.
I’m sure that the bloody vampires have encountered tons of werewolves until now, why do they stare as if I’m something special?
But their negligence works in my advantage, it takes no time for me to get rid of the vampires that attacked Hayden. I did not kill them, but I’ve hurt them pretty badly.
What I didn’t expect was to spot someone familiar behind the trees. My uncle, Gabriel.
Was he behind the attack? I believed he was on my side.
