Chapter Fifty-two
Mihai's heart pumped adrenaline into his veins and his face hardened as he became numb to the pain. He lingered an evil gaze at his mother and snarled, anger taking over the excruciating pain that drilled a hole into his soul. The betrayal of the one he knew as his mother cut him deep more than the sword she was holding.
"You will not hurt me or my bride to be anymore, enough is enough!" The dungeon shook as his voice laced with a dark tone, sounding like a thousand men with deep voices spoke through a medium. His eyes turned red, and he elongated his fangs, letting them run past his lips as his body vibrated in anger.
"That was what your mother said before I ripped out her heart." The queen cackled and her eyes turned black. Her hair was scattered around her head wildly.
Mihai never took his gaze off her, but the discovery hurt him like a blow in the gut.
"You'll pay for this." He growled and turned his fingers into talons.
"Already did." She pushed her head back and laughed, irking every nerve in his body. He weakened at the thought of killing her, he couldn't believe she would do something like that. "It's time to die, Mihai."
Hastily, she initiated the fight by swinging the sword in the air and aiming for his gut. He dodged, widening his eyes when the sword almost landed on Gwen but hit the bed instead.
"I'm going to kill your girl instead!" The queen roared, lifting the sword in the air.
"No!" Mihai raised his hands in mock surrender. "Let her go, fight me."
"Really?" She tilted her head to the side and trailed the tip of the sword on Gwen's arm. "What does she taste like?" The Queen inquired, applying pressure to the sword and cutting her skin. Fresh blood dribbled out of it, and she poked out her unusually long tongue and licked off the blood. "Mmm," she moaned in satisfaction. "She tastes so good. Have you marked her yet?"
"No, let her go." Mihai tamed the beast in him and pleaded with the malevolent woman who lapped up the blood hungrily.
Suddenly, when Paris noticed she was engrossed in licking off the blood, he charged his shoulder into her side and sent them tumbling on the floor. The sword slipped out of her hands and laid plainly on the floor. Mihai jumped to his feet and grabbed the sword. He marched over to the wooden bed and broke the chains holding Gwen captive. He threw the sword out the window and picked Gwen up bridal style.
He rushed out of the dungeon, sweating as a whirlpool of thoughts consumed him, why was her body growing cold?
"Stay with me, Regina. It'll be over soon," he whispered, hugging her to his body and keeping her warm but he was cold too.
He sprinted into his room and dropped her on the bed, putting on the humidifier he got from her one time she complained his house was too cold. He rubbed her palms and planted several kisses on the back of her hand.
Instantly, his door was flung open, and his mother ran into him, clawing his face with her nails. He fell flat on the ground and banged his head roughly on the cold tiles. She encircled her fingers round his neck and applied pressure, locking his windpipes with her hands. Mihai snaked his way to her stomach and pushed her with his might, sending her into his wardrobe and breaking it apart.
"Why, mother?" Mihai coughed, caressing his neck and wincing at the burning sensation he felt on the fresh scratches on his neck.
"Don't call me mother!" She stood to her feet and balanced her weight on the balls of her feet before pivoting on her heels.
Mihai searched his pants for the dagger and once she was close to him, he pulled it out and pointed it at her with his eyes shut. She wheezed, casting an eye at the dagger that dug deep into her chest, piercing her heart. Blood cascaded down her jaw and Mihai placed his foot on her stomach and kicked her, pulling out his dagger. She fell to the ground and shivered, swimming in her own pool of blood.
Mihai knelt beside her body and tears rushed down his cheeks as he wailed in agony.
He got up his feet and stared at his dirty hands. He trudged over to Gwen and kissed her forehead, crying on her chest and noticing his engagement ring around her neck. He held the dagger to his chest and exclaimed, shaking the building.
He was soon surrounded by guards who tried to fight him, but he was too strong for them. He ripped their jaws into two and sank his fingers into their chest and ripped their hearts out. When he was surrounded by a pool of dead bodies, he walked back to Gwen and rested his head on her thighs, crying like a banshee.
Abruptly, he felt a harsh impact on his back, and he snapped his eyes open when an evil laugh filled the air. Two hands gripped his neck from behind and pressed it. Red veins trailed down the side of his neck as he got to his feet and staggered to the wall. Mihai hit his back against the wall multiple times before he could be freed from the intense choking. He coughed, rubbing at his neck as he spun to have a once over at the Queen with enlarged eyes. Her hair had turned white, and blood trickled down her eyes.
"Surprise!" She echoed, hurting Mihai's ears and he covered them, hoping it would ease the pain.
"Mihai!" Gwen sat up, throwing the dagger at him and he caught it, ready to strike.
"You can't kill me, no one can!" She ran, swinging her fist and giving Mihai a skull cracking punch that sent him flying across the room and landing on his table, which was broken into two.
They fought, tearing the whole place apart. Mihai growled, ripping off his clothes and standing in his shorts. He banged his chest and yelled, "For my mother and innocent brides!" Before holding her neck and smashing her to the wall. He squeezed her neck, gnashing his teeth and glaring at her eyes which were about to pop out as she suffocated in his hands.
"Regina, throw me the engagement ring." He ordered and Gwen complied.
He placed the Queen on the floor and stepped on her chest, settling his entire weight on it as he inserted the ring in the empty space of the dagger and raised it in the air.
"Mihai!" A familiar deep voice yelled his name, and he froze, recognizing it to be that of Stefan. Mihai raised his gaze and settled it on his baby brother, flashing an apologetic glance at him before saying, "Sorry, Stefan."
He lowered his hand with force and sank the dagger into her chest. He twisted it and sank his fingers into the hole. He grabbed her heart and yanked it out before cutting off her head with a heaving chest.

"I now pronounce you man and wife, you may kiss the bride!" The man in a long cloak exclaimed and Mihai smirked, joy bursting in his heart as he leaned in, pulled up the veil and licked his gaze in her brown orbs then pressed his lips on hers and sucked on the softness If the cherry goodness.
The crowd cheered and clapped, throwing flowers at the new couple.
"I present to you your new king and queen!" Mihai's father announced and the crowd bowed to their new rulers.
Mihai carried his wife bridal style, and she tossed her flower in the air, laughing heartily at the maidens who struggled to catch the bouquet.
Mihai glanced behind his shoulder, noticing the sad face of his brother who seemed to be scarred from seeing Mihai rip out the heart of their mother. He sat alone and the other chairs were empty since Ioan and the other brother were thrown in the dungeon to suffer for eternity.
Mihai looked ahead of him and noticed a man in an oversized cape standing by the doorway. Mihai dropped Gwen and narrowed his gaze at the man. The man took off his hood and Mihai's jaw dropped to the floor–it was the strange man. His eyeballs had a thunderbolt in each and he waved a thumbs up at Mihai before doing a dramatic spin and disappearing into thin air.

"Finally," Mihai said, nuzzling the neck of his beloved wife. "You're mine forever."
Mihai squeezed her bosoms like it was his last. He drifted his mouth down her sampled breasts and sucked on her nipples. Getting too excited, he bit them a little too hard, earning a wince from her. His heart pounded in his chest and adrenaline coursed through his veins. They hadn't done anything last night as their hearts were in their throats. They stayed up all night hoping the curse was truly broken. Once she made it to sunrise, they hugged one another and slept the entire day and now, he finally decided to mark her.
"Yes," Gwen moaned, stroking his hair and arching her back in rhythm to his every thrust. "I love you, Mihai."
Gwen trailed her fingers up his back and sank her nails into his flesh when pleasure wracked her body, ridding her of her sanity.
"I love you more, Regina." He groaned and she let out a shout of relief as her body shivered and her legs quivered. He rolled off her and stared at the ceiling, both their chests heaving.
"I love you." They chorused, holding each other’s gaze.
