Chapter 93 You're Mine...
Chapter 93 You're Mine...
The sound of my plea seemed to register somewhere deep in her drug-addled mind. With a soft, fractured whimper, Celene scrambled upward, sliding her thighs over my hips until she was fully straddling me.
I let her.
For a man who ruled with an iron fist, who never yielded control to anyone, I completely fucking surrendered to her every whim.
I leaned back against the headboard and let her take over, utterly basking in the raw, frantic attention she was pouring onto me. In this moment, there was no Daniel, no wiped security feeds, no lies and half truths, no confusiong thoughts from my mother. There was only Celene, her skin scorching against mine, completely focused on me. Only me.
She cupped my jaw with her trembling hands, her thumbs tracing my cheekbones before she leaned down to press her lips to mine. Her kisses were hot, desperate, and sweet, tasting of the fever consuming her.
"I love you," she whispered against my mouth, her breath hitching as her hips rolled in a slow, agonizing grind against my lap. "I love you so much, Cole..."
My heart slammed against my ribs, like a painful, aching jolt. I gripped her waist, stopping her movement for just a fraction of a second so I could look up into her blown, glazed eyes.
"Do you mean it?" I asked, my voice barely a rough, gravelly rasp. I needed to hear it. I needed it like air. "Do you really mean it, Kitten?"
"Yes...I do, Silly... always," she breathed, her forehead resting against mine as she trembled. "Only you...you're mine...all mine... my big, bad wolf, my protector, my safe place...Cole."
She began to move against me again, her hips driving a frantic, burning rhythm that threatened to shatter the last of my sanity. She leaned down, her lips brushing my ear as she whimpered, "Please, Cole. I want only you. Nobody else."
The sweet, desperate words cut straight through the dark, paranoid fog in my chest. Hearing her say those words, feeling the utter surrender in her body, snapped the final thread of my restraint.
I reached up, my large hands tangling firmly into the soft, wild halo of her afro curls. I gripped her head, tiltling her face up, and pulled her down into a deep, bruising kiss. It was a possessive, consuming claim...our tongues tangling as I drank in her whimpers, my hips lifting slightly to grind back against her, showing her exactly who she belonged to.
As our lips slowly parted, I kept my hands tangled in her soft curls, holding her face just inches from mine. I wanted to look at her. I needed to see if the lies were still hiding behind those beautiful eyes.
But as I stared into them, the heavy, glazed fog in her pupils were beginning to lessen.
The blown, dark circles of her eyes slowly shrank, revealing the rich, familiar brown color of her eyes underneath. Her breathing, though still shallow, was losing that frantic, erratic edge.
She was coming back to me. The worst of the drug was finally wearing off.
A wave of relief washed over me, immediately followed by my protective instincts. Now that she was sobering up, she needed to rest.
"Hey," I murmured, my voice dropping into a soft, grounding rumble. I slid my hands down to her waist, gently trying to lift her off my lap. "The worst of it is passing, Kitten. Let me get up. I'm going to get you some water, and then I'm tucking you into bed."
But the moment I shifted, trying to stand, Celene panicked, and instead of letting go, she wrapped her arms tightly around my neck, clutching the fabric of my shirt like a fucking lifeline.
She hooked her legs securely around my waist, anchoring herself to my lap and locking me in place.
"No... Cole, don't," she begged, her voice cracking as she buried her face right back into the crook of my neck.
This wasn't a drug-fueled frenzy anymore. She was definitely sane and awake...
"Please don't go," she whispered, her breath warm against my skin as she squeezed me tighter. "Just let me stay like this. I just need to feel your body around me. Just hold me. Please...I'm sorry."
Her words hit me like a physical blow, knocking the breath clean out of my lungs.
I went completely rigid, my heart stopping in my chest. I pulled back just enough to force her to look at me, my hands framing her face, my thumbs wiping away the tears she didn't even seem to realize she was crying.
"What?" I whispered, my voice thick and cracking with a sudden, agonizing pain.
"I just... I don't want to be alone," she sobbed, her voice breaking completely as she clung to me, her fingers digging into my shoulders. "And if you don't want to sleep with me because I'm under the influence of another man's drug, Cole... it's fine. I understand."
She choked back a whimper, looking down, unable to hold my gaze.
"And if you feel disgusted..." Her voice dropped to a devastating, fragile whisper. "If you're disgusted because another man kidnapped me... because he touched me... that's also fine. I just... please don't leave me alone tonight."
A dark, violent roar built up in my chest, not at her, but at the experience that had made her think, even for a single second, that I could ever look at her with anything less than absolute worship.
Disgusted? By her? What the fuck what she fuckimg talking about?! The fuck!? The thought made my blood boil.
"Look at me," I commanded. When she didn't lift her head, I gently but firmly tilted her chin up, forcing her to meet my eyes. My vision blurred slightly with a rare, furious heat.
"Don't you ever say that to me again, Celene," I growled, my voice trembling with the sheer weight of my emotion. "Don't you dare think it."
I pulled her back into my chest, wrapping my arms around her so tightly I thought I might bruise her, but I didn't care. I needed her to feel the solid, undeniable reality of my weight.
"I could never be disgusted by you," I murmured fiercely into her curls, pressing kiss after desperate kiss against the side of her head. "You are my entire world. What happened to you tonight... what those bastards did to you... it doesn't change a goddamn thing about how I see you. You are innocent. You are perfect for me...You are mine."
I slid my hands down to cup her lower back, holding her flush against me.
"I'm not leaving you," I promised, my voice dropping to a low, heavy oath. "I'm right here. I will hold you all night if that's what you need. Just breathe, Kitten. I've got you."
