Chapter 3
Vivian "Fuck, who the hell is this woman?" I gritted my teeth.
Leo typed something on his laptop before replying to me, "I don't have any idea about this woman, but they said that she calls herself a blood queen."
I laughed quietly, not just because I was amused by his statement but because I was fucking annoyed by this name. "Blood queen. She calls herself the blood queen?"
He shrugged. "You can call yourself a dark king, then why can't she call herself a blood queen?"
My brows furrowed as I watched him. "People gave me this name." I reminded him, running my fingers through my hair. "I don't like killing people around me. I kill those who deserve it, but this fucking woman. It was the third time she crossed me. She stabbed to death my three fucking clients."
"She is a badass, isn't she?"
"Fucking killer," I hissed. "Leo, you're a fucking genius and the smartest hacker in this damn world. Why don't you just hack her account details? I need to fucking find her."
Leo was the most loyal employee I had ever had. He was a genius. Without him, I wouldn't be able to handle my accounts and records. He turned my illegal data into a legal one so that the government couldn't find my second money. Leo was more than an employee to me. I treated him like a brother. He was an Italian boy. Once upon a time, I saved his life, and he devoted his entire life to me.
He raised his green eyes to look at me. "She is the smartest woman I have ever met. She often changes her identity. There is no actual name shown in the data. She even steals the names of others and replaces them with her own. When her mission is completed, she moves on to the next. That's how she works around. I can hack every single person she meets, but the problem is that those people don't even know that their identity is being used by somebody else. It's hacking, not spying, and this woman is beyond my control." He raised both hands. I cannot do anything related to her. Sorry, boss."
I drummed my fingers along with the table as I thought about that fucking woman. "This is the third time she crossed me." Why the hell did she poke her damn ass into my fucking business? If I ever met her, I would kill her, I would strangle her neck. I didn't care if she was the prettiest thing in the world. She was fucking annoying me. Leo told me she baited her victims through her beauty, fucking beauty.
Harmony walked into my office. "Boss, I have some information on Tobias. On Saturday, he is heading to his favorite club, the Cassandra club. And I will grab an opportunity and kill him right there," she said, with no hint of fear. The toughest girl I have ever known. She was a masculine woman. She was a black gorgeous woman, but she was also cold and ruthless. She never thought about killing a person who betrayed me. She was always ready for war.
I crossed my legs under the table. "No, you won't kill him. He is my problem. I will take care of it." Tobias was the person who crossed me. He was the biggest fighter in the underworld, and I respected him for this, but this man-made the mistake of betraying me. I traded him some of my high-priced weapons, but he didn't pay me back.
And now I would kill him, make him disappear from this world. I loved to torture people who cheated on me. I loved teaching them lessons. Fucking a hard lesson.
"But boss....," before she could complete her words, I silenced her.
"I said, I will take care of him, Harmony," I lit my cigar and puffed before reaching for an ashtray. "Now both of you can leave."
I loved two things in the world. First darkness and then my baby daughter.
My phone rang with a message.
I think you should invite Pearl to dinner with you. She has a thing for you. Have mercy, give her one chance. At least you can try. She is a beautiful and intelligent woman, Vivian.
Only one person could dare to send me this kind of message and I gave her the right. Alice.
I never made friends, not even when I needed them most, but I have a friend now. I treated Alice as a friend, a real friend because she had every quality that a friend should have. She didn't hesitate to jump right in front of a car to save my baby daughter. She didn't think of becoming my young daughter's substitute mother. She didn't care about anyone else but my baby daughter. Henry hated her so much that she risked her relationship and helped me out for my daughter. I had never seen my daughter so happy after the death of my wife. I respected Alice for everything that she had done for me. And I paid her back a third time, despite that, I liked her. I liked the way she treated my daughter, and I liked her enormous heart.
What the fuck is your problem? This is my life. Whatever I want to do, I will do. I don't need your damn suggestions. And thank you for the snarky suggestion. I ran my fingers through my hair before clicking the send button.
It's just dinner. Not a big deal. She replied.
I got an idea. I could shut her mouth.
Okay, I'm ready for dinner. But not with her, but with you. Are you ready?
I have no problem, but Henry is about to go crazy. He is already a hothead. She replied.
I smiled at myself.
Then I don't want to be anywhere. I would like to spend my precious time with my precious daughter instead of a beautiful woman.
That sounds good. Then I should refuse Pearl. She feels terrible anyway. You are so heartless. I hope you find a woman whom you can't live without.
Never happen, not even in your dream.
Bella was the first and last love of my life. My love belonged to her and the second she died, my love was also dead. I wouldn't be able to love anyone else. And I was not looking for it. I loved to fuck women, and I enjoyed this life. I had a beautiful daughter, lots of money, and I had power. No one could raise their ass without my permission because I had such power. And who dared to cross me, I would rip their bodies out with my bare hand.
I missed Harley. When are you planning to bring her here since Kelvin also misses her?
Tomorrow. I replied and threw my phone into the drawer.

The large gate opened, and I pulled my car into it. Large trees and walls surrounded my property. No one could find my house easily because they had covered it with greenery. I designed it with the finest architecture in the city. My house was more than large enough for me and my daughter. To prevent my enemies from finding out my whereabouts, I made my house a secret and protective place. I was one of the most powerful men in the world, so it was obvious I had lots of enemies. My enemies had no idea what I was up to. I had a daughter. If they knew, they wouldn't hesitate before grabbing this opportunity.
In the past, one of my rivals had attacked my daughter. I did not take two days to disappear them because he made a fucking mistake in attacking her.
One of my men immediately opened my car gate. I climbed out of the car and handed him my black jacket. "Where is she?"
"She is in her room," he replied.
I loosened my tie and walked into the house. I had hired four men to take care of my daughter because I didn't want to take risks after that incident.
Rose welcomed me with her warm smile. "What would you like to take, sir?" she asked me in her weak voice.
"I'm ok with wine," I said and headed towards my room. Before meeting her, I brushed my teeth properly to make sure I didn't smell the cigar. I changed into T-shirts and trousers and walked into her room.
"I don't want to meet anyone," she said in her small voice. She was sitting on her bed with her favorite teddy bear.
I walked into her room even though she didn't want to. Harley was mad at me because I was late. I promised her I would come at ten every night and now I was half an hour late. "Sweetheart, sorry."
"I said, I don't want to meet anyone else. Now get out of my room." Her blonde hair was the same as her mother's. And the rage she had was like mine.
I crossed my arms over my chest, "Punish me whatever punishment you want."
Finally, she raised her head, staring at me. Her eyes were the same as mine, deep blue. "And you know it, I won't punish you."
My lips stretched into a smile. "I won't be late next time."
She didn't smile; she didn't say a single word. I waited for her to allow me to sit on her small bed. "May I sit here?"
"Yup."
I took a seat beside her. "How was your day?"
"Today I have drawn my new painting. And I have also finished my homework and finished my milk. Since I have met all of your demands, why aren't you meeting yours?" She barely knew how to call me, dad, so she called me by my name.
I sighed. How could I tell my five-year-old exactly what I was doing? The biggest criminal in town was me. I was the biggest asshole. "I..," I cleared my throat. I was the most dangerous man. People feared me. No one dared to talk back to me, but this girl shut up my mouth in a few seconds. "I'm sorry, sweetheart."
"Sorry doesn't change things, dad. Next time, I don't want you to be late. Promise me."
I placed my hand on her tender palm. "I promise, sweetheart."
She approached her drawer and pulled out her fairy tales. "Read me this," she ordered me, and I obeyed her.
*********
After working the entire day still, I had some emails to handle. Harley fell asleep two hours ago. I tossed my T-shirt on the couch before going to bed.
Before I could lie on the bed, my door slammed open, and Harley ran into the room. "Dad."
I stopped breathing when I saw a small teardrop in her eyes. I quickly stood up and carried her into my arms. "What happened, sweetheart?" I could tolerate anything in this fucking world, but I couldn't see her cry.
"I dreamed of her." She rubbed her eyes.
I put her on my bed and caressed her hair softly. I knew who she was talking about. She had a nightmare. Nightmare of my wife, nightmare of her mother.
I sighed and didn't say a word because I had nothing to say. I wiped away her tears and laid her head on my chest. I enjoyed the peace between us; I enjoyed her sound of breathing, and I enjoyed my little daughter in my arms.
"Your Princess was missing you. She wants to see you tomorrow and I will take you there." Finally, I spoke first, trying to change the topic. Alice was her princess, and only she could make her happy.
She didn't move from her place. "I miss her too," she said. "Dad, can I ask you something?"
My grip became tight around her because I knew what she was going to ask. I closed my eyes for a few seconds before nodding to her.
"Where is my mom? Where is she? I always dream of her."
And I was speechless. I did not have to answer this question. This made me fucking weak. I hated being miserable; I hated being wordless, and I hated myself. I couldn't save my wife. I fucking hate myself. I was the worst husband and even a terrible father.
