136- We're going to get my wife
**GIULLIA SANTORI'S POV**
I was consumed by anger, longing, and anguish from being away from my family. I aimed the gun with the intention to shoot, but when I saw genuine suffering in his eyes, I didn't feel anger but rather, pity.
He showed himself to be a lonely man, worse yet, a child full of traumas. Messina wasn't the father he desired; even for him, bitterness arose from not having the time to try to make his father change and give the love he so desperately needed.
I was startled by the arrival of one of Alessandro's men and ended up shooting. He fell onto the sand, and I dropped the gun. I covered my mouth with my hands, nervous to see he was trying to protect me at all costs.
"The boss has been shot!" The man shouted, rushing to him.
Alessandro groaned, writhing in the sand, but managed to speak with difficulty.
"Don't do anything to her, it's an order!" He ordered with difficulty in speaking.
I looked at his leg, noticing it was bloody. I wasn't going to shoot; I was resolving to have a friendly conversation with him, and perhaps he would let me go in peace.
Alessandro's men approached and carefully picked up the boss to avoid hurting him even more. They ignored me and focused solely on rescuing Alessandro. I watched closely as he was carried into the house, and I remained in absolute silence. I had killed people in my dark mafia days, but now, I felt the strange sensation that I was doing this to an innocent, even though he wasn't entirely innocent.
After they disappeared, carrying Alessandro in their arms, I returned to the room and sat in the corner, hugging my knees and reflecting on this nightmare. I recalled my son's words, informing me that his father spent a lot of time in the office, and I believe Vittorio is planning something to get me out of here.
So I hope!

**VITTORIO CASSINI'S POV**
We're inside the car, waiting for the signal from one of the men observing the place. We discovered the house where that damn son of Messina was staying. We found all the plans through a man infiltrated among my men, but he needs to know where Messina took Giullia.
After torturing him, we found out that his plans were related to a beach, so he took my wife to a very distant location. After a call, he said everything was okay because I ordered him to say that.
"We can go in, boss!" Enzo informs.
We get out of the car simultaneously. Ten men go ahead of us; I hear the exchange of gunfire, but I trust my subordinates. They were trained to be the best. As we pass through the gates, I observe some of Alessandro's men lying on the ground. Some died and others were shot.
I ignore them, walking towards the house while my subordinates do all the work. The confrontation took little time because few men were guarding the residence.
"Search every room and garage, and we're going to the office. Any electronic device must be investigated. Take the cell phones of these wretches!" I look at the men on the ground. "Any of them could be in contact with the boss."
I order and walk towards the house. I notice it's a mansion of poor taste, with outdated decor. I observe the furniture and the staircase leading upstairs. A frantic employee appears, and when she looks at me, her eyes widen as if she's seen a ghost.
"Oh my god!" she exclaims.
"Get out, now!" I order, rolling my eyes afterward.
She runs off, and I watch the woman retreat. I climb the stairs, looking around carefully as my men spread out through the rooms. I enter the office, rummaging through all the furniture, opening and tossing everything I see in front of me in an attempt to find something. While I search, Enzo enters the office and reports:
"Boss, we found this message on the cell phone of one of the dead men." He extends his hand, showing the device.
I immediately take the phone and look at the screen. A text message reads:
***"The girl shot the Boss."*** They wrote.
I am paralyzed, looking ahead, but my mind tries to formulate the scene. Giullia shot Alessandro. A small smile forms on my face.
That's my girl!
I hand the phone to Enzo and continue to search the office with the others' help. Upon opening a drawer, I see images of various beaches. I take them to the desk and spread them out, looking attentively. I notice that one of them is marked with an X. I feel like I'm on a treasure hunt, which is true because Giullia is my treasure.
"We found it!" I affirm, looking carefully at the image on the desk.
"What, sir?" Enzo asks, looking at the image.
I recall the phone conversation with Alessandro. He mentioned the place being sunny and talked about vacations. These images show the place he chose. He's so amateurish and idiotic that he thought I couldn't find out.
"They went to the Bahamas," I affirm, looking ahead thoughtfully.
"What are we going to do now, boss?" he asks again.
"We're going to get my wife!"
I turn my back, leaving the office, taking with me all the papers I found, as well as the cell phone of the murdered man. As I leave, I observe the men on the ground and others immobilized by my subordinates. I look back at the house of poor personal taste.
"Burn the house, don't leave anything behind," I order.
"Yes, boss!" the man complies with my order and shouts to the other subordinates.
Enzo accompanies me to the car, and we get in hastily because we have a planned trip. Considering it's an island, I need planning. Going by plane would only be possible if the route was revealed when requesting authorization. Even if this were possible through bribery, we could be bombed upon arrival.
"We'll go by jet to the United States. We must get as close as possible to this island. I tracked this phone number to know the exact location. There are many islands, and we may find one close to the island where they must be." I inform, making many plans.
I take a deep breath and close my eyes. The hardest part is returning home and facing my son's and Bella's questions. I don't feel right lying or telling my in-laws that she's traveled. I need to resolve this situation as soon as possible.
