Chapter 77 - It Would Be Worth It
Few Months Earlier (2017)
SHADRACH'S POV
My eyes now set on Tyler, and I could feel the metallic taste spread into my mouth.
I spit the blood from my mouth onto the floor, before gesturing at Tyler to bring it on.
No one fucking dares to touch my Queen.
Tyler smirked, and took his shirt off, obviously trying to be dramatic as fuck. He thought he looked cool when actually he looked like an idiot. Which he was. The few minutes break from the fight allowed the adrenaline rush to slightly diminish, and I now felt bothered by some of my wounds. Like the strikes I had taken to my stomach, as well as my face. I closed my eyes shut, and shook my head, knowing I had to keep going. It was my Queen in question. My Butterfly.
Tyler casually walked towards me, before taking up a fighting stance. I realized that he was actually pretty well-built, maybe even more than I was. In the last few years that I spent in depression, my work out routines had been less rigorous, and shorter. I really hoped these wouldn't come back to bite me in the ass.
"Ready, loser?" Tyler asked, making me ball my fists.
"We'll see who the loser is," I replied, before lunging at him.
He dodged my blow, and elbowed me in the back, making me grunt in pain. I turned around and attacked him again, this time striking him in the face successfully. He stepped back, still smiling like a lunatic, and wiped the blood away from his lips. His expression then turned serious, and now he attacked me. He struck blow after blow to my face, most of which I dodged, but one of them caught my eye, making both my eyes water a lot.
He tried to attack me again, but I blocked his punch, and caught hold of his wrist, twisting his arm in an awkward way, until I heard a crack. He yelled loudly in pain, and now that he was hurt too, his attacks became much weaker. After a few moments of a heated fight, I managed to tackle him to the ground. It was time for my signature move, and I began to throw punches at his face, which he was too weak to block. After about the fourth one, he started laughing, and I felt something pierce my back. I grunted in pain, as the sharp object dug deeper into my back, and Tyler threw me off of him.
"You fucker!" Simon yelled, and I glanced at him, as he tried to shoot Tyler. His view, however, was instantly blocked by Tyler's men, who aimed a gun at Alizabeth.
"You intervene and she dies!" The man yelled.
Tyler stood up, his face bruised and bloody, yet he still cracked a smile. He swirled the knife in his hand, before wiping the blood away from it.
"You really thought I'd follow rules?" Tyler laughed, walking up to me. "You and your stupid morals. I'm pretty sure your father would spit on you for risking your life after a bitch."
"Talk... With... Respect," I warned him, even though I could hardly speak, the pain in my back now allowing me to think.
"What? I didn't hear you," he mocked, before kicking me across the face, whipping my head to the side. I spit out blood onto the white flooring, coughing. "What were you saying?" He asked, before kicking me again, flipping me over. He then pressed his foot to the wound in my back, making me writhe in pain. "How's that?"
"Let him go!" I heard a sob from the corner, but I felt too weak to open my eyes.
I received another kick in my side, making me groan and double over in pain.
"Please!" She begged, sobbing loudly. "Please let him go!"
"Aww," Tyler said loudly. "So the little bitch is begging now," he laughed. I gritted my teeth, but I still could not manage to open my eyes.
"Come here, Gorgeous, come to me. We have unfinished business anyway. Let's go upstairs and everything will be fine, I promise you," I heard Tyler's voice, and I felt my blood boil.
I managed to open my eyes, and looked directly at her, my heart beat instantly pacing when I saw her trembling figure. She was shaking, her face was stained with tears, yet she still looked like the most beautiful girl on the planet. Her green eyes were staring back at me, and her eyebrows were furrowed together in worry and sadness. She was taking deep breaths, before she appeared to calm down slightly, and a determined look took over her face.
"Get up, Shadrach," she said loudly, and I felt something inside me click.
"Aw, like he will listen to you," Tyler cooed. He was standing at a position between Alizabeth and I, with his back turned towards me. He turned around and glanced back, smirking, before turning back to her.
"Shadrach," Aliza repeated, wiping her tears away. "Get up. Now."
I balled my fists, and I tried to move, but it was too hard. My eyes kept drooping shut, but I fought to keep them open.
"Shadrach get up, or this man will rape me tonight!" She yelled, and my eyes snapped open.
"This is the matter of your respect, Shadrach! Yours and mine. It's about your Butterfly's honour. It's about your Queen's honour!" She said, another tear escaping her eye. Each of her words gave me strength, and I realized what she had done. She had called herself my Queen. And no one fucking disrespects my Queen. I felt a sudden boost of energy course through me, and with all my might, I got up from the floor. A smile spread across her lips, and she nodded at me, telling me she was with me. Tyler turned around, a frown on his face, and before he even had the time to think, I punched him across the face.
He fell to the ground and I kicked him in the groin, making him yell in pain. He took his knife and stabbed my leg, making me grunt, but I kicked him with my other leg, making him drop the knife. I picked it up and stabbed him in the palm, pinning his hand on the leg of the wooden table that was beside him. He screamed in pain, and I kicked him across the face once again, before changing my position so I could see Butterfly right in front of my eyes.
Staring at her, I unbuckled my belt, before wrapping it around my palm, letting the metal end go free. Tyler's eyes widened, and he tried to get his hand free from the knife, but he was too weak to do so.
"Help me!" He yelled loudly, looking at his men. They made a move to save him, but Simon shot one of them in the knee. Before anymore could happen, the door of Tyler's mansion was broken down, and ten of my guards entered, well armed. Tyler's men were now outnumbered, and I looked back at Alizabeth, staring at her tear stained face, her shaking body. Images of what he must have tried to do her plagued my mind, and I brought the belt down with full force on Tyler's chest.
He screamed loudly in pain, and I noticed how Aliza simply stared back at me, tears flowing down her cheeks. For the first time, there wasn't one bit of disappointment or disapproval in her eyes while I was hurting someone, and that was enough hint for me to keep going. I hit him again, noticing how blood now began to stain his T-shirt. I kept my gaze fixed on Butterfly, and I knew I would keep going until she'd ask me to stop.
She slowly closed her eyes, and turned around, which made me smirk. I had just received full approval. So I began to hit him with all my might now, his cries of pain and agony echoing throughout the mansion. I hit him over and over again, everytime an image of him hurting my Queen flashing in my mind, and then his screams providing me with satisfaction. After around seven to eight blows, Alizabeth turned around again, and I instantly stopped. I looked down at Tyler, to find him unconscious, and completely covered in blood, his clothes torn apart. I dropped the belt on the ground, and the metal clanked against the flooring, making Aliza flinch slightly.
She was still crying, and I knew she needed to be comforted. I walked over Tyler's unconscious body, a little closer to her. I then slowly opened my arms, inviting her to embrace me.

ALIZABETH'S POV
Tears continued to roll down my cheeks, all my attempts of calming myself down futile. Shadrach stepped over Tyler, towards me, but did not come to me. He slowly opened his arms for me, and without hesitating for a single second, I ran towards him. As soon as I reached him, I wrapped my arms around him, and he did the same, bending down to hug me. My chin was on his shoulder, and his was on mine, while I tightly shut my eyes, feeling safe in his arms.
"I'm so sorry," Shadrach whispered to me, but I shushed him.
"Don't," I whispered. "You saved me again. Thank you."
"I love you, Butterfly," he whispered softly, and I bit my lip, wanting really bad to say it back. I opened my mouth to do so, when suddenly, it felt like he dropped all his weight onto me, his body becoming limp. I stumbled, not being able to carry his weight, but Simon quickly rushed over to us, and pulled him away from me, lying him down on the ground.
"Get the fucking doctor!"

I waited for an hour outside the room, praying to God to keep Shadrach safe and sound. I could not lose him. I did not care if we could not be together, I just knew that I did not want him to die. Not like that. Finally after an extremely anxious hour, the doctor came out of the room. Simon and I had the same speed in rushing up to him.
"How is he?" We both asked in unison.
"He's fine, all set. He's a very tough guy. He has punctured one of his ribs, and and his face is going to take some time to heal, but other than that, he's good. We have taken care of his wounds, but I'll have to keep visiting every-day to dress them up again. I've also written down the medicines he has to take and given it to the nurse. Make sure he remains on bed rest, and he'll be fine in two weeks," the doctor explained, and we both listened carefully.
"Doctor, can I see him?" I asked.
"Yeah sure. You're Butterfly, I'm guessing," he smiled.
"Yeah," I smiled back, before rushing inside.
He was lying on a huge King sized bed, with a lot of bandages wrapped around him.
"Hey," I said softly.
He smiled, and gestured for me to come closer. I walked up to him, feeling my cheeks heat up for some reason.
"How are you?" He asked me, making me frown.
"I should be the one asking that," I said softly.
"I'm good. All good when you're with me," he smiled, taking my hand into his. I smiled back, not knowing how to feel. The incident had suddenly brought us close again, and after the stunt he had pulled for me, I could not make myself believe that he had only been toying with my feelings. It was not possible.
"What's the time by the way?" He asked.
"It's four thirty in the morning," I replied.
"What?" His eyes widened. "You need to go, Butterfly. Now."
"Go where?"
"Home, dumbo. I promised Rachael and your family that you'd be home before morning," he replied.
"What?" I frowned. "Why did you contact them?"
"I didn't, they contacted me. How else would I know you've been kidnapped?" He asked. I remembered Tyler's words about the men Shadrach had posted outside my house, and suddenly, I felt weird again.
"True," I nodded, deciding not to touch the topic at that moment. He had saved me, and he was on bed rest because of me. I would talk to him about that later.
"Rachael called me for help and told me everything. That's why I set out to get you," he replied.
"But why did you come alone in the first place?" I asked.
"I may or may not have underestimated him," Shadrach said sheepishly, and I narrowed my eyes at him.
"You idiot!" I scolded. "You would have got yourself killed."
"It would've been worth it, honestly. I'd get to see how much you actually care about me, how much you feel for me behind that emotionless, 'I don't care' facade," he replied, and I sucked in a breath.
"I should... Um, I should go," I said, wanting to change the topic.
"Sure," he chuckled. "Good bye, Butterfly. I'll ask my driver to drop you home. I wish I could do that myself but-"
"Thank you," I said, cutting him off.
"Oh it's no big deal, in fact you can even keep my driver if you want," he replied.
"Not for this," I shook my head. "I mean yeah, for this too, but for saving my life. Again. Thank you, for protecting me."
He gave me a small smile, before taking my hand.
"A King always protects his Queen."
