She's a normal girl. She's just like everyone else, I try to convince myself. One glance at the yellow paint in her hair, gets me to question myself, again. Dammit. "Let's go," I say and pull her into a fast walk to the school's parking lot. Normally, I prefer riding my motorcycle, but I had a bit of... business this morning. After dealing with it, I found out about that Damn Rhodes getting his guys all over my territory. It took all of my will power to not commit murder this morning. And then Golden Girl over here decided to not keep her mouth shut like everyone else. "This is illegal! I can call the cops!" she protests all the way through the school. On our way to the parking lot, we pass Principal Pritchard. The guy walks the other direction as soon as he spots us. "No... That's not fair!" the girl protest. I only smirk even more. When we get to my black Bugatti, I allow myself a moment to savor Golden Girl's gawking expression, before I order her to get in. She sends me a killer-glare before sprinting back to the school. "Idiot," I mutter through a sigh before running after her. With my long strides, I catch her before she can enter the school building. We must be quite the sight for kids gawking from the windows. "Let. Me. Go!" she protest. "This, really, is your own fault," I point out before flipping her onto my shoulder and carrying her back to the car like a sack of potatoes. God, she barely weighs anything! "RAPE! RAAAAAAAPE!" she starts yelling. "Darling, the last thing I'm going to do, is rape you," I laugh. Checking if she's a normal girl isn't about raping. It's about seducing. Who can resist a guy in a leather jacket? Golden Girl bites me and I nearly drop her. "Bitch!" I exclaim when the pain shoots through my shoulder. "Let me go!" she insistsm but I only reply with a hiss. We get back to the Bugatti and I chuck her kicking figure into the passenger seat before locking her door and getting into the driver's seat. She starts banging at the door and I have to grit my teeth to avoid doing something I'll regret. When she sees her attempts at escape is futile, she turns to me with wild oceans in her eyes. "This is kidnap! THIS IS ILLEGAL!" "Just breathing for me is illegal," I say and grab a cigarette from the dashboard before popping it in my mouth and lighting it with my Zippo. Most girls find this sexy. "Ugh," Golden Girl says. "You have a problem?" I ask her after exhaling some smoke. "You're a smoker," she says. I chuckle at the girl's distaste towards my bad habits. Like smoking kind of tops the kidnapping thing. "Tell me your name," I say while speeding out of the school parking lot. "No" "It wasn't a question" "No" "Who was that you were hanging out with? Jessy? I remember Jessy. My boy Liam used to date her-" "Amber, my name is Amber," she says. I smirk. That always works. Normal so far. "Amber," I say, testing the syllables. "Pretty. Suits you," I remark. "Now, Amber, why for the love of whatever god you pray to, would you talk back to someone like me? Especially when I'm in the middle of something with my arch-nemesis?" I ask. Amber starts fiddling with the buckles of her shoulder bag. It's, naturally, also covered in paint. "I... I'm not scared of your petty little brawls. I'm new, so maybe that makes me stupid, but one thing I know, is that I refuse to be sacred. Especially at a bunch of egotistical guys that think they're better than everyone," she rants. Okay, not normal. "You're right," I say, "you are stupid." Because not being afraid is the worst thing you can be. This life isn't some joke and if Amber here can't see that I'll have to make her see it. If I let her get away with this, people would start to think I'm going soft. A gang leader can not be soft. Especially when the previous leader was your brother. And got killed. I speed through the town and watch Amber squirm in her seat. She's no doubt not used to sitting in a speeding car. Or maybe it's my looks that's throwing her off... It's not often I test girls. But this one needs it. I glance at her through the corner of her eye. There's paint on her sweater. Her bloody sweater! "Why are you covered in paint?" I ask because it's driving me crazy. "Why does it matter?" "Answer me" "Why don't you ask nicely?" she shoots back. I go back to gritting my teeth. This girl will drive me to murder. Didn't her parents teach her to hold her tongue?! I pull over at the docks, but keep the doors locked. Lazily, I turn to her and try my best smirk. She's just a normal girl, I remind myself. Damn the paint on her skirt! "Let's be honest," I say, "You spoke up today, because you wanted our attention..." "What?" I hold my finger to her lips, "You find me... attractive? You want to be more than just a pretty blonde girl, right? You want to be my pretty blonde girl?" She looks about as shocked as one could get, but I take it that I've caught her. She's normal. She's average, I remind myself. Even if her eyes wilder than a stormy sea and she smells like flowers and that damn paint. I don't go in for a kiss and instead let my hand drift to her paint-covered skirt. She still doesn't move and my smirk only grows. "That's what I thought," I purr. Then she goes ahead and smacks me across my face. "WHAT THE FUCK?" I yell when my right cheek starts stinging. "Keep your grimy hands for yourself, Perv!" she exclaims before hitting the unlock button at the wheel and storming out. I swear there's actual lightning following her. She's a golden storm. "You can't walk all the way back!" I yell after her. "Watch me!" she says and clutches her shoulder bag even tighter while speed walking away. And because I'm stubborn, I start the engine and drive away, leaving her in the cloudy weather that would no doubt turn into rainy weather. Stupid bitch, I think to myself. But the more immediate and dangerous thought as I'm racing away, is that she failed the test. She's not just any girl. And that, is going to get me in some deep shit.
