Just So Perfect

Just So Perfect

MIRABELLA

Lucas had just claimed my lips for the second time when his secretary pushed open the door to his office, apparently forgetting to knock.

We instantly let go of each other and turned. My cheeks were completely flushed and my heart was beating very fast. Lucas squinted his eyes at his secretary and a look of surprise flashed across her face before she apologized and quickly shut the door behind her.

We turned our attention back to each other and Lucas stared at me for a while before saying, "This was a mistake."

"No, it wasn't," I argued. "It was my first kiss and it was as amazing as I'd always imagined it will be. I gave you my word that I will leave after the kiss, so I'll do just that."

He kept staring at me and as I spoke, I picked up his phone from the table while desperately hoping that it was not password protected.

I sighed in relief when I successfully opened his dialer and without wasting any time, I typed my number into his phone and dialed it.

I took out my phone from my bag and saved his number. He was still staring at me as I put my phone back inside my bag.

I smiled and moved closer to him once again. Seeing that he made no effort to push me away, I felt as though I was on cloud nine as I stood on my tippy toes and placed a soft kiss on his cheeks.

I felt him inhale sharply and knew that I affected him more than he let on.

"I will call you if you don't call me," I whispered before walking away.

The moment I left his office, I felt as though I had dreamed everything that just happened. Was it really me in there? I was so shocked. I had never been so bold or shameless in my life. Now I understood why people said love could make a person so crazy things.

I never knew I had such guts but then, Lucas surprised me. Perhaps if he was rude to me, I may not have been so bold. I would have most likely bolted out of his office in embarrassment.

He did say no to me, yes but his body language said otherwise. His kisses were so enchanting that I didn't think I would ever get enough of them. I felt so wonderful and I did not want this feeling to end.

I knew he felt something for me. Judging by what Aiden said about him, he would not have touched me if he didn't. That second time, right before he kissed me, I saw so much desire for me in his eyes.

If his secretary had not interrupted us, perhaps he would have gone further but I wouldn't have wanted that. Yes, I was crazy about him but I could not give my innocence away when our relationship was not defined. It would have been extremely difficult for me to say no, though.

It was safe to say that my mission was successful. I was so excited but I could not share this with anyone. I had really swallowed my pride today and this wasn't something I wanted to share.

I had indirectly asked Lucas to call me but he did not give me any guarantees. Would he call me? It would be nice if he did. It would make me so happy that I would not be able to fall asleep tonight. Lucas Keeler; he was just so perfect.

LUCAS

I kept staring at Elle as she walked out through the door. I was grateful that my secretary interrupted before I tore Elle's dress apart. She was naive and did not realize how much danger she put herself in by asking me to kiss her.

This did not mean that I wouldn't give my secretary an earful for barging into my office. Yes, I didn't lock the door because I did not know of Elle's intention when she just arrived, but what if we were naked?

Elle seemed like a simple girl but there was much more to her. The manner in which I lost control was surprising. I was a man who wasn't easily moved by women but she was able to make me get a boner.

I could not deny the fact that I wanted to see her again but I also knew that Nova would not be happy. I gave up being in a relationship in the past because she was very possessive of me. I loved her so much that I was willing to do everything for the sake of her happiness.

Now that she was grown, I didn't know if she still felt the same way about my getting closer to other women. I had already gotten used to being without them but Elle seemed to change everything. I did not need to ask Nova to know that she would not approve of Elle, and how could she when Elle was most likely her junior in school?

Perhaps I needed to go ahead with my initial decision and avoid Elle, yes, it would be best if had nothing more to do with her.

I picked up my phone and was going to delete Elle's number but then, I stared at the number on my screen and ended up saving it.

After saving her number, I instantly regretted it. I made up my mind and decided to delete it from my phone this time but then, my phone began to ring and the caller was none other than Elle.

I stared at my screen for a while before answering the call.

"Don't delete my number." She said as though she could see me from where she was.

I stared at my screen in surprise while she continued, "We'll be seeing more of each other, Mr. Lucas. Don't worry, you will enjoy having me in your life. I promise."

I found myself smiling and when she ended the call, I stared at my screen once again and asked, "Elle Flores, what have you done to me?"
