Chapter 52 The past will catch up with you
I didn't know where to look for her. London is so big and there were so many places she could be. I knew it would be very difficult to find her but I had to find her at all costs. My mobile rang. It was Chris.

"Liam. She's here. She came here. But I can't calm her down at all. Can you come? I don't know what happened to her but she's all bruised and blue. She has a cut on her forehead but she won't let anyone treat her. She won't calm down. Can you come?"

"I'm going. Make her some tea and tell her I'll be back in a minute," I said and hung up. I went to my car, started it.

The drive to the hospital took 5 minutes but it felt like an eternity. I parked in the garage. I went to my office. Daisy was sitting in a chair crying. She was bruised, blue. She had a cut on her forehead.

"She won't calm down Liam.  She hasn't said a word since she got here. She's just crying. She's not listening to me at all," Chris said

,,Get me a bandage and some disinfectant. I'll talk to her," I said and went over to her. She looked me in the eyes.

,,Daisy. What happened? Tell me what happened and who did this to you,"

,,I.. I have to tell you something Liam. I can't live like this anymore. James threatened me but you have the right to know. I knew it. I knew it from the very beginning but I didn't tell you anything. I didn't want to hurt you,"

,,Tell me. But most importantly, calm down. You're with me now. Neither I nor Chris will hurt you. Try to calm down.  Can you do it?,,"

,,Okay.. James is not your son. I knew it,,"

,,What?,," I asked her and looked at Chris.

,,I'm sorry Liam. You helped me so much and I lied to you. I couldn't tell you the truth. I couldn't Liam. I didn't want to cause you more pain. I'm sorry,,"

,,Now you're going to tell me. I want to know and I want to know who did this to you. I want you to be honest with me. To tell me everything,,"

,,James confessed to me when we were together. His father is Michael. The man who works for you at the hospital. They lied to you. I didn't know you then and.. I'm sorry Liam. I'm really sorry I didn't tell you. You helped me so much,,"

,,I need you to calm down Daisy. To tell me everything.  Calm down," I said and touched her lips. I kissed her. In front of Chris. I needed her to calm down. I ran my hand over her lips one last time and pulled away from her.

"Okay. When I was dating James for a year, he confessed to me that you weren't his father. I didn't know you and I didn't deal with it. He just told me that you were a respected doctor. His biological father is Michael. The man who works for you at the hospital, Liam. He's his biological father. He told me that his mother Becky did it to get money from you. Then I met you and I didn't want to hurt you, Liam. You're such an amazing and wonderful man and I didn't want to cause you any more pain," she said. Someone knocked. It was Amanda.

"Liam?  The results of the tests you had done," she said and handed it to me. I took it and opened it.

"What's in there Liam?" Chris asked.

"Negative. 99.9 percent James Schmidt, he's not my son. I gave him everything he could think of," I screamed loudly and threw things off the table. Daisy cried even more.

"Daisy. I'm not angry with you, okay? I'm not angry with you," I said and hugged her. I felt very angry, very pissed off. I felt cheated..

"I'll get some tea. For both of you. You need it," Chris said and walked away.

"What else happened Daisy? Who did this to you? Was it him?"

"When Becky and your mom threw me out of the house, I left.  I met James and Zoe. We had a fight,"

"Tell me what happened. I want to know. Now you have to tell me the whole truth, Daisy. You can't lie to me. You can't,"

"But let's see who we have here. Our Daisy. So did your father throw you out of the house?"

"Be quiet, James. Be quiet and leave me alone,"

"How are you talking to him?" Zoe yelled at me and threw me to the ground.

"I'll tell Liam everything. I'll tell him that you're not his son, James. I'll tell him. Liam deserves to know the truth,"

"And you want your father to know about your drug and alcohol addiction? Do you? He'll never want to see you again after this," he yelled and kicked me in the stomach. I grabbed my stomach.

"That's enough,"

"No. That's not enough. You shouldn't have messed with us. You shouldn't have. You're nobody. You're just a poor girl your father took in. Nothing more.  No less," James screamed and slapped me

,,We had a fight. He was picking on me. We had a big fight, Liam. He blamed me for everything. Zoe was there with him. Before we met, I was a drug addict. I also had a problem with alcohol. He was blackmailing me. If I told you this, he would tell you that. I was afraid you would leave me. That you would abandon me,,"

,,Daisy. For God's sake. I would never leave you, just because of this.  That's why you had those blood tests and that's why your heart is failing," I said and she lowered her head. Chris brought us tea.

"We want to help you. Both of us. But you have to be honest and truthful with me. That's what I want to hear from you and the whole truth. I want to know everything from the beginning. From your relationship with James to where we are now. Chris is my best friend. He can hear it. You'll see how relieved you'll be when you tell us,"

Daisy looked at me and then at Chris. She was all teary and sad.

"Liam's right. It'll be relieved when you get it out. I know it from my own experience. You have to tell someone to make yourself feel better," Chris whispered and smiled at her.

"Okay," she said, wiping away the tears that were running down her face.
