And he brought his face even closer to me. My Gosh! I'm thrilled--wait what? Este, what is happening to me? Gosh! His face is really close to me, it could be that he is about to kiss me.
But the question is am I ready to kiss him? I didn't know what to do anymore so I just closed my eyes tightly and waited for his lips to touch mine but I waited for several seconds but no lips came to my mouth. Wait!
"Ahmm" I immediately opened my eyes when Darren immediately served me ice cream. I frowned because I didn't expect him to do that while he was still smiling while holding the spoon he used in his hand.
I was stunned and looked at his handsome face that now still hasn't finished laughing.
Maybe, I really need to accept this to be a rebound and be a band-aid for his heart, even though I don't know him, I can see in his eyes for a long time now that he laughs like that again.

"So, how? Thank you for everything" I smiled at him and was about to say goodbye when he suddenly grabbed my hand causing me to look back and see that he was looking at me seriously.
"Darren, did--" he didn't let me finish what I was saying because he had already spoken.
"Starting tommorow, I'm going to court you. I know that I will use you so I hope that through courting you means that you will agree to be a boyfriend to a Darren Thomas Fabio" I just looked at him and I don't know what to say I. Do I say yes or just nod or just say whatever. I do not know.
"Umm.." awkward indeed but I have to get over it. I kept looking at him, outside and on the road.
"Darren or Ren, I mean can I go first. Maybe they're already looking for me" I tried to smile. Even embarrassing. Accept!!
I saw him go and said I can get out of the car. After I got out of the car, I immediately entered our house. I didn't bother to look at his car leaving.

"You're kidding, right?" Akia said in disbelief after I told her what happened yesterday. I just nodded to him and the next thing I know, I immediately went to the table in the canteen. It's a good thing that Akia and I haven't ordered lunch yet, because if we do, it's probably going to be wasted, so I'll put it aside and just go.
"Like OH MY SWEET!!" Akia exclaimed very loudly, causing us to look inside the canteen. As in, everyone, starting from the noisy students who lined up to buy to the teachers who quietly ate in a corner, looked at Akia and me.
So I immediately felt ashamed so I just kept my head down. Gosh! I regret that I told him everything. I wish I didn't just say that because if I didn't say it, I probably knew that he wouldn't have reacted like this. It's just embarrassing.
"SHH!!" A teacher said out loud that it's more like a prof because duh! I'm in college. Anyway, back to the story, the grumpy prof just said it out loud that I thank the Lord that I didn't become a prof in any of my subjects because the news is that he is grumpy and not even a student can bring him down.
Ma'am is great, isn't she? Maybe that's why he's one of the older professors at this private school.
"S-sorry, Ma'am" I remained bowed while Akia apologized. I won't look up because it's his fault. And I'm not involved in that.
After he apologized, it was like a breeze passed by and everyone immediately went back to what they were doing before Akia screamed earlier.
"Woah! That was quite a show back there" at first I was not going to pay attention to Aiden but when I noticed that he was carrying a tray full of three rice meals I immediately looked up and took one and thanked him. It's funny because Aiden decided to sit next to me. My luck!
"You called that a show? Are you kidding me, Aiden? Is it fun to watch being humiliated in the eyes of the profs and students here?" Akia asked almost hysterically but Aiden just grinned and placed the rice meal he ordered in front of him. After Aiden landed, he started eating but Akia just looked at Aiden evilly.
"Like what is this, Aiden? A bribe? Is this to pay for the shame I suffered?" Akia asked sarcastically and pissed off. I just smile while watching them. They are like children.
"If I tell you no, will you accept it with a spring in your heart?" Aiden asked after swallowing what he was eating. Akia just looked at him with suspicion and finally shifted his gaze to his rice meal that had not yet been reduced.
"Hi-isn't this a bribe or something?" Aiden just smiled and shook his head. And as if on cue, Akia immediately smiled and started eating. I just smiled too.
"By the way, I know that my release only happens once and I'm not sure when the next one will be. Haha, I just got paid yesterday and I thought about releasing you" Aiden said smiling.
Akia and I thanked Aiden again and because Aiden was close to me, I hugged him. It also lasted for a few seconds because after that I continued eating.
"Anyway, let's get back, what was the reason why Akia was embarrassed? Care to share?" Akia and I looked at each other as if we were talking about a super topic secret mission to overthrow the sun. I just grinned and Akia gave me the same look. While Aiden was just looking at the two of us, maybe he was confused.
"Do you expect me to understand your point of view?" Akia and I just laughed at what Aiden said so what I did was I approached him and just whispered to him. It's hard because someone might hear and spread the news that I'm assuming too much.
"Are you kidding Darren--" I immediately covered Aiden's mouth because it looked like he was going to say Darren's full name which is not supposed to. This is a topic secret that only a few people know.
When I removed my hand from his mouth, he just looked at me full of suspicion.
"Are you really crazy, Des? Who do you think is going to believe that lie of yours?" I have not been to my own. He's hopeless, you know what you gently tell him but he doesn't want to believe what can I do about it?
Aha! I already know
"If you don't want to believe it, I'm not bothering you--" I didn't finish my sentence when my phone vibrated. I immediately looked at the sender. It's from Darren
From : Darren Thomas Fabio
Hey, Baby, just wanna let you know that I'll pick you up later, I'll see you here in the parking lot here at your school.
"Oh, there you have to believe" I immediately showed Aiden the screen of my cellphone with many scratches and tape to make him believe. I showed it to him for a long time for him to understand. It's a good thing that I haven't changed Darren's name on my cellphone yet.
"Still. I still don't believe it, what if you're just fooling me" and because of that answer, it was like heaven and earth fell on me. That's not the answer I was waiting for. What I'm waiting for is for him to say 'Yes, I believe in you'
But failed. I was wrong.

"Do I still have to come here?" Aiden asked Akia who was now just eating the chips she bought earlier at the canteen.
"Like duh! You don't believe Des so this is it. Let's just stay here so you know what Des is saying is true" Akia promised bored. I just smiled at what he said. These two are really like children.
"Tell me, Aiden, are you worried that Des might just be cheating on you, that's why you're acting like that?" Akia's question to Aiden was full of teasing but Aiden's face remained composed. What's wrong with him?
Aiden's face went from composed to serious.
"I'm not worried about that, I'm worried about Des. I'm afraid that it will be a waste to be human and that he will experience the pain of people who are hurt"
I raised an eyebrow at what Aiden said. Like what was that? What is he saying? Is he sick or something?
I was just behind them and I thought of approaching Aiden just to check if he's okay.
"Are you sick, Aiden? Are you okay? Because you're saying weird things" I asked Aiden with concern but he just ignored it and just left.
I just raised my eyebrows and turned to Akia who now had run out of chips. He wasn't looking at me so I just turned in the direction where Aiden was going.
He's acting weird.
