Chapter Forty Five

Ron’s Point of View:

I didn’t get much sleep last night and woke up to a text message, reminding me where the meeting place was and time, 12 noon. I let all the guys know and then it was just a waiting game.

We had over 100 guys, we needed a plan, We needed to know and be prepared about what was going to happen, how we would execute this, how we would hide everyone for the element of surprise. If we all just rolled up, they would know we were planning something and god knows what they would do to Harley as a result.

‘You ready for this?’ Alexander asked me as I walked into his room, where our guys were.

‘I’m ready to get her back and to kill anyone there who isn’t wearing an SS cut’. He nodded, agreeing with me.

‘We’re all with you, both of you’. Jackson spoke up, speaking for the others. I looked around the room, at the faces of my crew. How they were literally putting their lives on the line for me and Harley, and I couldn’t thank them enough.

‘If anything goes wrong, and we need to be prepared for that possibility, we meet back here’. They nodded. ‘If we lose any brothers—’

‘We know what to do’. Harry interrupted me.

‘Thanks, boys, You’ll never know how much I appreciate this’.

‘You’d do the same for us, brother’. Eric, my oldest friend, told me. He shouldn’t be here, he was the oldest member of our chapter and had the health issues to prove it, but he refused to miss this fight.

We worked out our game plan and then went out to tell it to the rest of the guys, waiting to know what the plan was... then there was nothing left but to wait...

*****************************

We pulled up at the warehouse that was arranged as the meeting place. It was just me, Jackson, Alexander and Harry. The others were in position and surrounding the warehouse. It wasn’t like they could all pull on their bikes. To make sure they weren’t heard, they parked up and had walked up here, but I knew they were close and just waiting for my signal.

‘Remember the plan’. I told the others They nodded and we all got off our bikes and headed over to the building. I raised my fist and pounded on the door a few times. It loudly slid open, revealing the CK. It looked like they had a similar idea to us, There was more than just one Charter here.

We walked in and the door closed behind us.

We were surrounded.

My eyes scanned the room, looking for Harley, but I couldn’t see her anywhere. Walking further into the warehouse, We were met by Hector. I knew him well, and I fucking hated him.

‘Ron, you’re looking well’. I didn’t answer him and just kept a straight face. He looked over to one of his guys and waved his hand.

‘Where is Harley?’

‘Patience. Where is my stuff?’

‘My daughter first’. He signed and nodded in the direction his guy had gone. We waited... and eventually, there was some movement in the crowd and she was pushed forward.

As soon as I saw her, my anger boiled up inside me and I had to put my hand out, stopping Alexander from moving. When he looked at me, I shook my head. We had a plan, we need to stick to it. I looked back at my daughter, She was beaten black and blue. Dried blood on her face, old and fresh wounds... and she was holding her arm close.

They had really done a number on her.

I’ll kill them all.

‘So, there she is. Where is my stuff, Ron?’ I threw a bag over to him, letting it land with a loud and dense thud at his feet. He opened it and looked at me. ‘This doesn’t look like 2 million.’

‘It's not. It's just shy of $750 k’. He threw the bag back on the floor.

‘And my weapons? My head?’ I shrugged.

‘Yeah, that wasn’t happening. Give me the girl, you can have the money and we will forget all this happened’. The look on Hector's face told me that wasn’t going to happen... and that was fine because we had no intention of it either.

‘You think this is a game?’ he asked, taking his gun out and pointing it at Harley's head.

Shit.

‘Ok, look, give us some more time, we will get it, ok?!’ I held my hands up, showing I was serious this time.

‘Too late’. He cocked his gun and rested it against her temple. She looked at me, clearly terrified.

*BANG*

As soon as the shot rang out, there was gunfire all over the warehouse. I watched as Hector fell to the floor, a bullet right between his eyes. Looking back, Alexander was standing, the gun still pointed out, in his hand.

That was it, all hell broke loose...
