Chapter 67

Chapter 67

In the end, Jessa never got the chance to talk to Levi.

Maybe Levi finally saw their true colors and was disappointed in their relationship, so he decided not to get tangled up with her anymore.

My heart couldn't calm down for a long time.

I still felt scared when I recalled Arabella's face.

If Celestia hadn't been at the Morgan mansion, arranging flowers with us in the living room, would Arabella have threatened me with the child?

The more I thought about it, the more terrifying it became.

I was really scared. When facing Jessa and Arabella, I felt deeply afraid for the first time. I was even completely flustered.

This time, I didn't know how they would deal with Arabella. As long as she existed, we would probably be in danger. She wasn't the type to let things go.

When the police notified us to come sign papers, Levi didn't want me to go, but I was the victim after all, so I had to face it myself.

There were important matters at the company, and Levi couldn't get away, so he sent a driver and bodyguards to take me there.

Indigo came with me, too. She comforted me many times along the way, telling me not to be afraid.

Faye sent me a message saying she thought bad people should get what they deserve, so she was going to expose what Arabella did.

Before I could reply, another message popped up in the chat.

She said she had already posted the video.

I gasped. Now the Greer family was going to be in chaos...

"Mrs. Morgan, what's wrong?"

Indigo noticed my emotions were unstable.

"Nothing."

Since it had already happened, I wouldn't stop it. Even if Faye didn't do this, Arabella would still hate me. So be it. At least public opinion would bother her for a while.

When I thought about how her young lover, whom she was spending money on, might run away because she got in trouble, I felt a bit satisfied. I'm not a saint. She brought this on herself. She deserved it.

We entered the lobby. Chase and Jessa were there too.

As Arabella's family members, they definitely wanted to mediate, but Levi clearly refused mediation, so there was already a verdict.

I looked at the words on the verdict. Arabella illegally broke into someone's home and attacked with a weapon. Since she didn't actually hurt me, she was fined. Also, because of the incident where she hurt Celestia at the hospital, knowing it was wrong but doing it anyway, with serious circumstances, considering everything, she was sentenced to six months.

I thought her punishment wouldn't be too severe because I was rescued in time. We handled it according to the law and respected any legal verdict.

I had no objection to this result.

Since it was settled, I prepared to leave.

Only then did Chase and Jessa chase after me and stop me.

"Blair, are you satisfied now? You got my mom locked up, and you're satisfied?" Jessa seemed like a different person overnight.

"Dad, look, she's really bad. She was before, and she still is now."

But Chase had a dark expression. "What your mom did has already been spread everywhere. She spent my money keeping a young lover outside. Shameless!"

"Dad..."

Jessa seemed to have seen the exposed video, too. Good thing Faye didn't come, or she might have been attacked again.

"Don't call me dad anymore. From now on, you're on your own. When your mom gets out, if she's not mentally well, send her to a mental hospital."

"Dad, what do you mean?"

Chase said irritably, "Get out of my house. Pack your things and get lost too. Just seeing you brings bad luck."

"You..."

Jessa never expected her family would fall apart like this. As soon as Arabella went to jail, Chase cut ties with them.

"I'm giving you one day. Hurry up and get lost."

Chase's attitude was really nasty, as if Jessa wasn't his daughter. But thinking back to how he treated my mom and me before, his current behavior wasn't hard to understand.

He was just a selfish, petty person.

He never cared about his wife and daughter.

Jessa just didn't realize that one day they would be kicked out just like us.

"I never thought you were this kind of person..." Jessa was extremely disappointed.

Chase sneered, "What's the point of keeping you around? You have nothing now. You're not still dreaming about marrying into the Morgan family, are you? I told you two a long time ago to be realistic. You didn't listen. You can't get the Morgan family's money anymore, and you can't get the man either."

Jessa covered her ears, not wanting to listen. Tears kept welling up in her eyes.

I really had no interest in watching them. Indigo supported me. "Mrs. Morgan, let's go back."

"Okay."

The driver had already brought the car over. The door was open, and the bodyguards were waiting for me to get in so they could protect me on the way home.

Chase drove off by himself, leaving Jessa standing there alone.

Just as I was about to step forward, Jessa rushed over.

Indigo instinctively blocked her, and the bodyguards all ran over too.

"Blair, there's no need for such a show of force, right? Don't worry, with so many people protecting you, I won't do anything."

I signaled everyone to step back, not to worry about me.

From when Jessa tried to stop Arabella, I knew she wouldn't do anything extreme. Although she had poisoned me before, now she didn't have Levi's protection anymore.

"I don't think we need to say anything more."

I checked the time. "You should go back and pack your things. That man has no feelings. If you're late, he'll throw all your stuff away."

"Mind your own business!"

Jessa smiled bitterly. "You must be thrilled, right? Seeing me and my mom hurt by him, are you satisfied?"

"This was predictable from the start. He betrayed my mother and me back then. You should have known you'd have this day."

Jessa laughed coldly. She was truly completely disappointed in Chase.

"Don't get too cocky. What I lost today, I'll make you pay back double in the future!" Jessa threatened me.

I lowered my head, really not wanting to see her twisted expression.

"If you still have feelings for Levi, go tell him. Telling me is useless."

"Blair, you're doing this on purpose, aren't you? You know perfectly well Levi won't talk to me anymore." Jessa got angry again.

I shrugged. "Then there's even less point in telling me. I don't want to have anything to do with you anymore. Let's just never see each other again."

"In your dreams!"

Jessa was determined to get revenge on me?

"Blair, I will get revenge. Don't get too cocky. Do you think Levi loves you? He doesn't love you at all."

"You want to say he loves you, right?"

I smiled. "I know, so I actually don't care at all. I was mentally prepared long ago. I don't object to you two being together."

"Stop talking nonsense. If you hadn't interfered, we would have been together long ago."

At this moment, I really found her a bit ridiculous. If Levi really wanted to be with her, I would have let them be together long ago.

I had suggested divorce. He was the one who wouldn't divorce.

"Blair, just you wait, you wait and see!"

I closed my eyes. This woman was really hopeless...
