Emily’s POV

I can’t help but feel envious of Kelly when she told me today that Pierce and her got back together. Her forever will start now and I know she deserves it. It’s just that…I don’t understand my luck in love. It always ends tragically. My fiance died. My past relationships didn’t work out. Klay is certainly not for me because he just used me. Now, I’m alone.
“Emily!”
I rolled my eyes when I heard that familiar and annoying voice. I dropped the bills on the counter and grabbed my bag to leave but I felt him stalking me behind.
I rolled my eyes again. God! I already succeeded with my plan of making him investigate his father. I know he won’t stop now that he discovered something but why does he have to chase?
“EMILY, I’M NOT GONNA STOP FOLLOWING YOU UNTIL YOU FCKING STOP RUNNING AWAY AND TALK TO ME!”
My jaws almost dropped after the people in the bar looked our way. Some are annoyed. Some are laughing, mocking us.
Fck! I angrily took another step with an attempt of ignoring him again but he shouted again like an insane dog.
“I SAID TALK TO ME AND STOP RUNNING AWAY! I ALREADY TOLD YOU I’LL TAKE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CHILD INSIDE YOU.”
My eyes widened because of what he said. I faced him and saw the saddest expression on his face. The crowd started murmuring and I started feeling so embarrassed for the first time in my life because of his stupid
antics.
Angry, I rushed back to him and grabbed the collar of his dress shirt. I dragged him out of the bar and slammed his back against the hood of my car.
“You bastard! What did you say?”
He smirked. “You won’t talk to me and i promised myself that I’ll make you talk to me. By hook or by cook.”
I glared at him. “And you think the stunt you pulled was funny?”
His playful expression slowly disappeared as he stared into my eyes with a serious face. “I’m not searching for something funny, Emily.”
“Then why did you do that?”
“To make you talk to me.”
“Now, we’re talking. Are you satisfied?”

The corner of his lips rose as he shook his head and his eyes darkened. “I’m not yet satisfied, Emily. I want you to give me an assu
My forehead creased. “Assurance?”
“Be my girlfriend.”
My laughter broke without warning because of what he said. I looked at him in disbelief as I continued laughing while he’s just staring at me with a serious face,
My laughter slowly vanished as I realized he’s not joking.
“You serious?”
His jaws clenched. “Dead serious.”
1 chuckled again as I pointed at myself. “Me? Are you sure you want me to be your girlfriend, Matt Foster? You
don’t know me.”
His jaws clenched again. “The information about you was hidden, Emily.”
I smirked as I crossed my arms. “So, you tried to do a background check on me?”
“You won’t tell me anything other than your name. At first I thought you’re interested in me because we slept together, but now…”
My brow shot up. “Didn’t you get it, Matt? I was interested. Was. But not anymore.”
His eyes sharpened. “Don’t you fcking tell me that you’re fcking everyone you’re interested in.”
“I won’t tell you, then.”
He angrily grabbed my arm and stared into my eyes darkly. “You gave yourself to me, Emily. So you can no longer play like that.”
I smirked. “I didn’t know a soft boy from the Foster family is possessive. Tell me, Matt Foster. Did you fall in love with me at first fck?”
He gritted his teeth. “You don’t call it that way.”
“Then, what was it? Make love? Come on! That’s lame!”
“Then, so be it. But you’re mine!”
“What?”
He suddenly crashed his lips on mine and whether I admit it or not, he’s a very good kisser. I could feel the temptations his tongue and lips bring and I can’t deny and resist it. In the end, I answered his kisses with the same intensity of hunger.
I felt his hand on my waist, caressing me and just when it’s about to reach my behind, he stopped and looked

at me. Playfulness is back in his eyes.
“You kissed back. You’re now my girlfriend.”
“What?!”
:
He smirked. “I told myself that if you kiss back, you’ll be my girlfriend.”

My eyes widened again. I was so shocked that when he stole my phone, I couldn’t move. He typed something and then his phone rang inside the pocket of his pants.
He waved my phone in front of my face and put it back in my back.
“My number’s already in there. See you tomorrow, girlfriend. You’re still single tonight so you’re free to go home alone. But starting tomorrow, you have to endure me.”
I was still in shock. He called a taxi for me and tapped the roof of the car, reminding the driver to send me to my destination safely.
God! Did I get myself in big trouble? What just happened?
