Chapter 153
Chapter 153
Todays after we visited the ancestral house of Kelly’s family, I felt someone following me while I’m walking along the empty parking lot of the condominium tower. I just visited my father in the hospital. He got a stroke last year and he’s still not recovering. I don’t know if I should be happy because the person who ruined
life is finally suffering or felt had because he’s still my father.
Before I could even enter the elevator, someone dragged me by the wrist and slammed me against the wall beside the elevatm
I met a pair of eyes burning in anger. He was looking at me while gripping my shoulders as if he wanted to crash me right then.
“What do you know about Kelly’s plans?”
I stared blankly at him before I let out a soft chuckle. His forehead creased and he clenched his jaws.
“You seemed to have two personalities, huh?”
He gritted his teeth. “Just tell me what you know! What is she planning and what kind of information does she have?”
I licked my bottom lip and pushed him. He took a step backwards and glared at me dangerously as I crossed my arms. “You offered help two days ago, Matt Foster. Why are you harassing me now?”
He shook his head. “You better tell me everything you know!”
I smirked and slowly walked towards him. He gently grabbed the collar of his dress shirt and pulled him down a little. I saw how his lips parted and his eyes remained darkly staring.
“Why don’t you try to ask nicely?”
“I’m not here to negotiate with you!”
I let go of his collar and turned my back. “Then we have nothing to talk about-”
“Wait!” He grabbed my wrist again as I heard him cursed under his breath. “What do you want?”
An evil grin plastered on my lips as I faced him. “I want Kelly to suffer.”
His eyes widened. “What the fck? Aren’t you her friend?”
I chuckled. “That’s what she believed. Now, can you help me?”
His jaws clenched again and he slowly nodded. “What do you want me to do?”
“Investigate,” I answered simply. His forehead creased.

Chapter 153
“Investigate”
i tilted my head. “Yes! Prove to her that she’s following the wrong information and chasing the wrong people.” He stared into buy eyes with a blank expression on his face. “You want me to investigate my own family?”
Chuckled. “Come on, Matt Foster! I know you wanna know the truth more than anyone. So….”
Why are you doing this? Why do you want to hurt her? Why are you trying to hurt her?”
I stared at him. “You seemed to grow fond of your cousin, huh? Tell me. Can you really help me or I have to go and ask your twin brother instead?”
Kelly told me about Matt and Mason. Everything she knows to execute the plan perfectly.
Matt sighed and nodded as he pushed his hands inside the pocket of his pants. “Fine! I’ll investigate.”
I smirked and nodded. “Goodluck!”
He watched me with a hardened expression before he turned his back and walked away. He rode a motorcycle and drove off while my smirk slowly faded. My face turned emotionless as I stared at the part where his motorcycle disappeared.
Go on! Be my puppet.
*** Phoebe’s POV
I was sitting on the bed while looking at Kelly, checking my room. She’s in our house and since Snow’s with mom and dad at the pool area, I grabbed the opportunity to talk to Kelly about my problem.
After looking around, Kelly looked at me and smiled. She sat on the bed with me and gently caressed my hair.
“What do you wanna talk about with me?” She asked softly in a low voice.
I stared into her eyes. “I–I’m ready to tell you everything.”
She nodded. “Thank you for trusting me.”
I sighed and looked at my fingers and started playing with my nails. “Kelly, I…I gave myself to a man older than me and my brother.”
I couldn’t look at her. I feel ashamed and insecure at the same time. I know that Caleb likes Kelly. He just didn’t pursue her because he knows that Kelly’s in love with my brother.
Yes! It was Caleb Walter. I gave myself to him. We were drunk that night but I’m still in my right mind. He was the one who’s dead drunk and he was calling Kelly’s name that night. It hurts, but I still insisted on staying and sleeping with him. We had a great night. I’m treasuring it in my heart but he doesn’t remember anything that happened between us and it hurts.
“It’s okay, Phoebe. If you’re not ready, I won’t force you-”

Chapter 158
“I was Caleb Walter, I whispered nervously and squeezed my eyes closed. I was waiting for his shock response but nothing came.
Slowly. I opened my eyes again and looked at her. She was looking at me with a serious face. Is she mad? She doesn’t like him right?
You know the consequences of your actions. Phoebe.
I bit my bottom lip and slowly nodded. “Yes…”
“He’s older than you and you’re still studying. If you get pregnant, you’ll-”
“I’ll stop for a year, I know,” I said again. Almost a whisper.
Kelly sighed and slowly held my hands. When I lifted my face, she gave me a gentle smile.
I was shocked. “Y–You’re not angry?”
She shook her head. “You’re old enough to differentiate what’s right from wrong. I won’t say anything because I’m not perfect either. I have things I kept to myself because I’m afraid of the consequences.”
I stared at her. Fear was visible in her eyes. Just like Snow’s real father?
I don’t know why Pierce fiercely believed that Snow is Klay Carver’s daughter. Can’t he feel their connection? More than anyone, he should be the one feeling it. However, I can’t blame him too. He strongly believed that Kelly would never hide something from him. His beliefs were hard to bend and he’s obviously blindly in lov with Kelly.
“I just want you to know that no matter what happens, your family loves you, Phoebe. You can trust them if everything becomes so messy. Especially your parents. They will never leave you alone.”
I smiled and hugged her. “Don’t leave me too, Kelly.”
She started tapping my back as she whispered. “I won’t.”
And I know she won’t leave again. My brother and Kelly deserve a second chance. They should end up together not because I like Caleb Walter but because I know they love each other and they’re actually soulmates.
