11.
I turned off my pc after saving my current progress on the game. Unplugged my headphones, putting them to the side. After I stood from the desk I went towards my bed to go on my phone. I eventually cooled down; no longer embarrassed, being distracted from social media.
There wasn't much that was going on
online but there were a whole bunch of memes here and there on twitter. Even found some funny videos on some other apps, tik tok for example. I had most of the social media apps; Tik Tok, Insta, Twitter, Snapchat, and Facebook. It's quite a bit especially for me. Most of these apps have similar stuff on them but it's always good to get updated on different events.
actually found this one account on twitter called "Ways To have fun in life" Their description: bored and tired of doing the same things to the point of not having anything to do at all? Then you have found me, I give tips and ideas that will 100% make your life much funner and better. Follow these rules and you are welcome to be here and to follow me.
The rules were not complicated nor were they hard to follow. They were just some silly, common rules that people would use for some things.
Rules: be nice to other followers, dont reply to hate comments and just report them, don't question some ideas/tips. Only comment when you have any idea or would like to add a tip.
The rules seemed a bit- weird, but it's not the worst either. They were decent and I don't really leave comments unless I really feel like it. Some of them were rules that nobody applied once before, which makes this user a bit unique and different and that is mostly a good thing. I actually started following them a little while back. The ideas were original and more fun to actually try out.
I looked at some of the memes that were posted from the user: they were quite relatable and you can easily understand what they mean. There were even some images that were labeled as "TIPS". They were short but worth reading, they don't really seem like tips at all if you think about it. All they say is: Be yourself. Don't fight yourself mentally, fight others. Do what makes you feel yourself. Sometimes faking your emotions is necessary. You're not an insect, you're a human being who feels small. Etc, it was a bit weird also but somehow comforting.
There were no comments about the post even though it says that there's 253 comments. If there were comments, they must've gotten deleted from the owner of this account. But some posts and comments that were related to tips and ideas; long lists that almost seem like paragraphs, some letters of some words were capitalized, there were even a few numbers as well; Bunch of (.) and (-) in very few of the comments. The whole thing was weird but interesting.
a bit unique as well. Both followers and the owner of the user were unique.
I kept scrolling through the users page, some tips that said the same thing, ideas were displayed as images as well. Nothing different, there were few new ideas and tips that were posted the other day. I never bothered checking that time because of things or simply because I wasn't really interested in it at the time.
The newest tips/ideas were simple but were full of details. One of the ideas says: Read a book while it's upside down and be upside down on any piece of furniture while reading an upside down book.
It was new to the point of not thinking of anyone actually doing this out in general. All the other ideas that has been reposted more than one time usually goes: Jump and spin at the same time while counting to 100 in a different language *Only people who speaks more than one language can do this*
These ideas are childish and pointless, but I have heard that if you do these types of things you will be sent a picture or video of you actually doing it. Well that's just a silly rumor that the class clown came up with when he first looked at my phone while I wasn't paying attention.
He knew about the user, he even had friends who knew about it. They all followed this person, but he said that one of his friends got sent a strange video of actually doing one of the things that was posted on the account. Saying that he went missing a few months later, apparently this happened last year. I put his words off to the side because I didn't believe him and I still don't. It just doesn't make much sense to me, it wasn't much of a coincidence, but it must be one. Haven't really talked to the class clown much after he told me all this information. It's ridiculous honestly, rumors and crazy talk are similar if you word it the right way. And the class clown did word it the right way, he's called the class clown simply because nobody takes him seriously. Which makes sense anyway. I eventually stopped scrolling through the users page and turned off my phone. I put my phone off to the side to lay down on my back with my hands crushed by my head. I stared off into the abyss until my stepmom came in.
"I will be going to the grocery store to get some ingredients for dinner, want to come with?" She was standing in the doorway, her hand fiddling with the door handle. "Uhm sure, I got nothing else to do anyway." I sat up, shrugging my shoulders. She nodded her head, "Alright, great. Get ready and meet me downstairs." She left the doorway empty, walking back downstairs. I sighed, getting dressed more properly before going downstairs.
I went downstairs, seeing her at the front door; Holding her purse and the house keys with the car keys attached. She was wearing a beige dress, black tights, and white heels.
"Aren't you wearing something a bit-" I stopped myself giving her the, 'ain't this a bit much?' look.
"Well- this was all I had to wear today other than that it's quite warm outside." She huffed, scanning me up and down, "What about you? Why are you wearing such dull clothing?" She raised her eyebrow, giving me that look.
I looked down; I was wearing a plaid hoodie, black sweatpants along with black converse shoes that I haven't worn for a while. "What's wrong with my outfit?" I looked back at her.
She crossed her arms, "You look like you're from the countryside." She sighed. "And you look like you're from the rich- which you're not." I smiled awkwardly, she chuckled.
"Alright, let's go to the store." She shook her head while she went out of the front door. I followed her. Sitting in the front of the car. Eventually we were on the road.
"So, what do you want for dinner tonight?" We both got out of the car at different speeds.
I shrugged, "I don't know." She gave me the 'side-eye', staying quiet for a few seconds. "How about mashed potatoes and steak for dinner?" She asked, letting out a light sigh. "Sounds good. What about drinks? Grape juice sounds nice." I yawned, glancing at her before walking inside of the grocery store.
"Grape juice? Why grape juice? I thought kids at your age are all about soda and energy drinks." She grinned; her grin usually looks shriveled but I never ought to complain about the wrinkles of her face. She looks older than she's supposed to be but dad can be the one to complain to her. "Grape juice is the one drink I have never tried before. Soda is mostly chemicals and it isn't very healthy."
"Grape juice isn't healthy either, but the soda thing is understandable. You should drink more water instead of trying new things."
"But my mom said you should try new things when you get the chance to and this is my chance to try grape juice for the first time."
She sighed heavily, "Alright. Fine. I will buy some grape juice." She sounded annoyed and I was somehow glad that she was. "Good- but I can buy the grape juice, dad paid me for doing chores last month. I never got to spend it since then."
She nodded her head, she was carrying a basket around the store. Going into different aisles. "I will go get the grape juice." I walked out of the current aisle, my hands were stuffed in my pockets. Holding onto my wallet that I got from my birthday, last year.
The store wasn't very busy, there were some people here and there.
The store itself was massive, a bunch of aisles to the point of some of the aisles having the same stuff as other aisles. There's a bunch of stuff that you can find here at the grocery store. Similar to that one grocery store called TallyMart that's back in the town we used to live at.
I grabbed the grape juice and went back to stepmom, finding that she was no longer in the same aisle. I checked the other aisles: Aisle five? No, Aisle eight? No, Aisle 10? No. I eventually found her. She was in aisle 11, looking at the canned foods.
"Why did you leave that one aisle?" I walked up to her swaying around my arms.
"Because I can, I am a grown adult. I also never said that you can get grape juice. On. Your. Own." She huffed, she seemed bothered, she was biting her lip. Ignoring eye contact.
"I'm old enough. Besides, I can do what I want. Can't tell me what to do." I mumbled, crossing my arms.
