*Three Days Later*
Zeus was absolutely giddy as he strolled from his castle to Aphrodite’s’.
*I’ve waited for long enough brother. *
He planned to make Hades the first he destroyed. With the death of Hermes, Zeus was able to cover up his crimes. Shifting the blame to Hades as the one who fell to trickery of creating Apep. The only person who knew of his lies was Aphrodite and she was enamored with him. Doting on him constantly and providing her bed whenever he wished. It would be a lie to say he didn’t feel something towards her, though it was not enough to cause contention in his marriage. Once all of this was over, he’d make an example out of her for even speaking to Hades in the first place.
Using his key, he entered the palace and shuffled up to her room. The dimmed lights darkened her bedroom, with only a pink light allowing for illumination. She laid on the bed back turned to him. He smirked. “You can’t possibly still in bed? We have work to do.” There was silence and Zeus arched his brow. “Aphrodite, do you hear me?”
With no answer, the king of Gods immediately found himself angered. Storming over, he ripped off the silk sheets, his face paling, seeing nothing on the bed but pillows. He looked around and put his hand on his hips. “I’m not in the mood for games child. We have important business, and we need to get there NOW!” He blew steam from his nose, yanking a cord and filling the room with light. Pulling at her closet doors, and her armoires, he felt himself grow even more enraged. “WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?!” He growled.
Whipping his hand, he connected to her. “Where. Are. You?” He seethed.
Aphrodite’s purple eyes glistened. “Home.”
“YOU ARE NOT-”
“Hello, brother,” Hades grinned sinisterly watching Zeus turn almost white. “You’re looking quite well for someone who has been bested once again.”
Zeus glared at Aphrodite, “How fucking dare you?!”
She chuckled, “I’m just irritated it took this long.”
Hades rolled his eyes, “We had to make it look convincing I told you that!” Leaning back in his chair, Hades clapped his hands together. “Okay…you look confused. And since I’m too lazy for a riddle this time, how about we cut to the chase. As soon as Dite saw your gloat about Hermes trickery, she was on my side. That increased once she also saw your little wanted poster.”
She shook her head in disgust, “They were children Zeus.”
He fumed, “You have helped seal our deaths.”
“Maybe, but at least I can go out with some type of morals you miserable fucking snake.”
Hades clapped his hands in excitement. “So what she said but add *son of a bitch* to the end.”
Zeus felt his legs give from under him as Aphrodite lifted a folder. “Maps, directions, lists of every bit of military weaponry you have, your guards, the location for hidden entrances...I have EVERYTHING! I wasn’t the only one getting screwed during your little visits.” She wouldn’t let it show, but she felt absolutely disgusting, the feel of his hands still on her.
“YOU FUCKING LITTLE B-”
Hades waved his finger. “I’d watched your mouth if I was you.”
Seeing a figure pull from the shadows, Zeus stared in terror at Adam’s pure white eyes. “Finish your statement-go on. I'm terribly interested in what you have to say about her.” Zeus swallowed his spit making Adam give a grin that resembled Romulus'.
Hades laughed, “And he’s the nice one! Though I don’t think he’s going to be nice to you.”
Standing next to Aphrodite, Adam gave Zeus an evil smirk, “I’ll be seeing you soon.”
“We all will.” Kore's blackened eyes glared at the God.
As Thanatos, Evie, Derrick, and Romulus emerged, Zeus finally put everything together. “It was all a lie.”
Hades shook his head, “No…this one really did get pissed and made tree warriors, though I think it had more to do with you touching his Soul Tie.”
Aphrodite could feel the heat permeating from Adam, and she looked down to the floor.
*He already hates me. I can’t blame him. *
“Anyway, this has been fun! Dad, do you want to say hello?” Hades mused, stopping as he saw Thanatos’ eyes darkened.
Thanatos’ tilted his head. “You’re going to die the worse Zeus. I truly hope you know that.”
A chill went through the entire room as Thanatos’ words hit the air. His rage the strongest, the souls bubbling on his chest. Feeling Evie’s hand in his, he turned his coal eyes to look at her. She could hardly recognize him. Pulling away, Thanatos' walked silently into the darkness.

“Thank you,” Aphrodite murmured as she took the blankets from Adam. “It was very kind of your parents to allow me to stay in the castle.”
Adam nodded and turned, “Good night.”
She sighed, “Good night Adam.”
Standing in the same room as he felt as comfortable as it did foreign. He knew everything she’d done to ensure that she would one day be able to come to Earth. Though she never expected it to be for romantic reasons, she just wanted to help. Because of this, she never thought twice about her forced relationship with Zeus. Now standing next to Adam, she wished that she had.
“Is your favorite color pink?” She heard him randomly murmur.
“Huh?”
Adam rubbed the back of his neck and faced her. “I don’t know, I just always assumed Aphrodite’s favorite color would be pink, you know because of hearts and love and all that…but your eyes are purple...”
She smirked, “My favorite color is pink Adam.”
“You enunciate every letter in my name…I quite enjoy the way it sounds when you say it... Anyway... good night.”
She panicked. “WAIT! I-er-I mean…. what’s your favorite color? Your eyes are blue, but they turn white so-”
“Orange.”
She laughed, “That’s so random.”
“I’ve been told I’m random…a big ball of stuff that doesn’t make sense.”
Aphrodite smiled small, “I could grow to understand it...I think.” She shifted her weight back and forth, feeling awkward for the first time in centuries, “I’m sorry I hung up on you that time. I just didn’t want to blow my cover.”
Adam nodded, “I understand…we weren’t supposed to see one another until later, but I found myself intrigued after seeing Hades and Kore together…so, I’m sorry.”
Her voice went to a whisper, “And now?... Are you still intrigued?”
Adam took the blankets from her hand and threw them onto the bed. Stepping into her, he rubbed his thumb against her cheek. “Very much so.”
She exhaled in relief, “Me too.” Being near him made her realize that Adam wasn’t her previous love, he was an entity of his own. She could feel the power pulling from him, but she could also feel his gentle nature. She wrapped her arms around his neck, “Will you stay with me?”
He nodded yes, before leaning down and kissing her hard on the lips. Hearing her groan, he lifted her off her feet and carried her to the bed.
