*One Month Later*
“Good morning, wife.” Thanatos clasped Evie’s face as he laid on top of her. Her moss green eyes gleamed at his words.
“I really love hearing you say that.” He smiled.
“I like saying it.”
Things had grown quiet in Magical Fall, and while they didn’t know if that was good or bad, they did know that they deserved to not live in fear. That Kore deserved to play and be a child her age, not secluded or hidden out of fear that something would happen. They also learned that they deserved to be happy, and that meant finally getting married. So, with the help of a very extravagant Romulus, they had a wedding that was perfect for them. The colors of black and emerald green, one from the reaper of death, the other for the eyes that managed to make his dead heart beat. Small and intimate, with the souls of their parents, and Jack and Rose present.
Their favorite moment was watching Kore walk down the aisle, trying her best to pass out the flowers. Only to accidentally drop them, making every laugh at how adorable she was. Seeing Evie walk down to him, would be a memory that would haunt Thanatos forever. She was breathtaking, and as she stood across from him, she gave him a smile that made him fall in love with her all over again. Swaying his wife around the dance floor after their vows, Thanatos quickly learned that she was always thinking of him.
“What song is this?” He’d asked her as the music began to play.
“Our song.” She replied grinning back. The moment he heard the words, Thanatos leaned down and kissed her deeply.
*“Come on baby, and she had no fear…and she ran to him, then they started to fly…. come on baby, don’t fear the reaper, baby takes my hand, don’t fear the reaper….” *
“I love you Reaper.” She said, with so much love in her eyes, it made him swear he could hear his heart in his chest.
“I love you Poppet, always.”
Thanatos pouted at his wife. “I don’t want to get up yet.”
She smirked, feeling him kiss her neck. “Oh really? And what does my Reaper have in his mind?”
He trailed kisses down her stomach, and she arched against him. “Maybe a little flying…”

“Okay I totally appreciate that you two are married now, but if I walk into grunts and groans one more time, I'm going to scream.” Romulus said laughing.
Evie placed her hand on her hips. “Isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black?”
Both Romulus and Derricks face reddened. Romulus coughed. “Moving on…we wanted to see if Kore was up yet? Adam wanted to play with her.”
Derrick scrunched his nose, “And maybe we’re a little smitten too.”
They all laughed, and shortly, heard a very small Kore, shout for her father very loudly. Evie rolled her eyes. “You know she’s totally forgotten all about me. All I hear is *Daddy…* this and *Look like me* that. I don’t want to be jealous, but I can’t help it.”
Thanatos laughed and kissed his wife’s temple. “Don’t be jealous Evie…it's not my fault, I’m everybody’s favorite.” She twisted his side, and he let out a laugh before going to his daughter.
“Has it still been quiet?” She asked Romulus her face turning serious.
He nodded. “So far, but I would be lying if I said your mother’s warning didn’t sit with us. She’s not wrong. It’s only a matter of time before Zeus makes his move.”
“And we’ll make ours,” Thanatos said returning to the group. Kore smiled big and reached for Adam who was just as eager to see her.
Romulus pouted. “See! She didn’t even ask for her Uncle Rom Rom.”
It was what she called him because she couldn’t pronounce his name, just like she called Derrick Uncle Rick. Laughing, the two children connected hands, and as Adam’s laughter increased, so did the current around the house. Thanatos looked to Romulus, whose face contained just as much shock as his.
Adam’s pure white eyes tore into the chandelier, causing one of the bulbs to burn bright until it shattered. Gasped flowed around the room, as they ducked from the other bulbs shattering shortly after. The sound of the shattered bulbs scared the child, and his little body began to shake as he sobbed.
“It okay Da-dem, it okay, I get it!” Kore said, freeing one of her hands to wipe his face. Seeing his quivering lip, Kore's lip quivered in anger. Her little face red in fury that Adam was upset, her eyes so dark that they resembled her father's, she glared at the chandelier. Evie watched in horror as fire engulfed the fixture.
“FUCK!” Thanatos shouted, handing Kore quickly to her mother, before putting the fire out.
“I SORRY! I SORRY!” She screamed into her mother’s chest, as everyone stared at one another, trying to process what just happened.
After finally getting the children to calm and play on the floor, Romulus tried his best to gather his emotions. “So…um…that was…”
“Terrifying,” Evie said, watching everyone nod around her. “If they can do that now at this age…”
“I see why the Gods are terrified. Apart they’re strong, but together…they’re going to be unstoppable.”
“Incredible.” They heard a voice call from the corner. Evie quickly grabbed onto Kore, and Derrick onto Adam. The man stepped from the darkness, his grin sinister. The wings on his hat bright gold, the wings on his brown sandals matching in hue. Taking a scroll from his pocket, he introduced himself. "My name is Hermes. God of trade, wealth, luck, fertility, animal husbandry, sleep, language, thieves, and travel."
He unrolled it showing the group. Two little faces stared back at them. One Kore, the other Adam. “By the order of Zeus, I’m here to seize the children and return them to Olympus for their immediate execution.”
