*A few days later*
“You know, you came into my life at a time that was really hard for me. You changed everything, you loved me, and you stole my heart,” Thanatos chuckled, removing a piece of hair from Evie’s face. “You know what I meant.” Spinning her around on the dance floor, he nuzzled into her neck. “That wedding dress looks beautiful on you.” His breath on her neck, made her entire body shudder. Leaning up, his eyes gleamed at her, “Who would have thought I would have fallen for it? Who would have thought I couldn’t see how much of a fucking little liar you are?”
Evie heart quickened. “Wha-”
He laughed harshly, “And now look at you, nothing but a plaything for Apep. Has he been inside you yet Evie?” He grinned, “I know I have. So many times, in fact, I've grown absolutely bored.”
Evie’s hand collided with his face, and his sinister smile widened, “I was hoping you’d do that.” His eyes blacken and he grabbed her throat.
“Please…Reaper…”
He squeezed tighter. “DON’T YOU FUCKING CALL ME THAT!” Her life slipping away from her body, Evie succumbed to the darkness.
“Wake up!”
“Wha-” Evie opened her eyes to see Apep glaring at her.
“That little brat has been calling you for the last 10 minutes. She’s getting on my nerves.”
She inhaled deeply.
*It was just a dream…*
But they’d been getting worse. To the point, they were every night, tearing inside of her. Standing from the bed, Apep eyed the slinky nightie he’d given her. Licking his chapped lips, he reached out and kissed her hard on her lips. “I can’t wait to experience what’s under here.”
Evie wanted to vomit, wanted to break his hand, but instead for the sake of Kore, she said, “Me too.”
After quickly dressing, Evie found Kore sitting out by the roses, her favorite spot. She was playing with something, but she couldn’t see what it was. “What are you giggling at?"
She turned and laughed, “Mommy look!” She said, holding a bird.
“Kore, you should let the little birdie go.”
She pouted. “NO!”
“Young lady.”
Letting the bird go, she looked at her mother hard. Her little face burned red. Her eyes once green, blackened to the color of her dads. She turned and glared at the bird as its wings flapped to the sky, it immediately dropped.
“Oh...my…” Evie couldn’t get the words out. Kore in her anger killed the bird just by looking at it. She covered her little mouth and tears welled in her eyes.
“I’m sorry!” She cried saddened, and looking at the bird again, it came back to life.
Something was wrong with it, and the closer Evie looked she realized what had happened. Its eyes now as black as Kore’s once were. A guttural noise came from its break and a black mist produced. “It okay!” She shouted happily.
The bird jumped around and flew to her shoulder. It’s wings now torn, holed, it looked at Evie with a sinister look in its eyes. The bird somehow had life, but still completely dead. Kore could use her emotions, to kill and raise the dead with one look of her little eyes.

Thanatos could feel the rage overtaking him. Trying his hardest to breathe through it, his eyes Immediately blackened. The pain in his chest growing, the veins rapidly spreading. Sitting in his office, he looked over the new file.
*“Weee’reeee Oneeee.” *
The whispers grew louder. Ringing in his ear, taking over his thoughts. Tearing into his very existence, filling his body with rage. Thanatos could feel his body shaking. “Stop…”
*“Kill them alllll” *
Head to his desk, the whispers sounded in his ears. One of the guards leaned into him.
“Sir?”
Thanatos could feel the veins pulsating. He balled his hand so tightly; he could feel the blood pool from his nails. Raising his head from the desk his eyes the color of pure coal he could hardly see what’s in the room. A sneer formed on his lips, as the whispers grew louder. Grabbing the man who’d come for judgement, hands that don’t feel like his own bash the man’s head flat. It fed his rage, and Thanatos found himself soon unable to stop the feel of blood splattering across his face, the way it lined the wall.
Hands that felt like extensions of his, grabbed the top and the man’s head and tore his body in half with bare fingers. As his soul rose from his body, Thanatos grabbed onto him, seeing the eyes widen. He couldn’t feel himself anymore. It like watching himself from another plane as he ripped the soul in half, leaving it on the floor screaming.

*One Week Later*
“My pet, your dress has arrived though I’m not exactly sure how it will fair. It’s a bit hard to get things but I’m sure within a week, you can alter it to your liking." Apep revealed a dress to Evie, she didn’t even look at it.
“It’s fine.” She muttered, and she felt Apep’s hand across her face.
“FUCKING APPRECIATE WHAT I’VE DONE FOR YOU!” She touched the blood on her busted lip. Her green eyes darkened, and she balled her fist until she heard Kore’s singing voice in the other room. He sneered, “Mind that temper girl, wouldn’t want me to pull that orb around her neck so hard, her little head pops off.”
Evie's lip quivered as a lump formed in her throat. “I-I love the dress thank you Apep.”
He loved the way his name rolled from her full lips. “Alter it to your liking,” he repeated. “But don’t get too attach to it, I plan to rip it from your body as soon as we say I do. Now come with me.”
Standing on autopilot, she walked with Apep to the den. Kore seeing her mother, wrapped her tiny hand in hers. As the three made their way into the room, Evie’s hair stood on edge as the man came into her view. Grinning at her hard, Apep placed his hand on her lower back, “You know our officiant, how fitting for a family reunion. Cybrus say hello to my bride and your granddaughter Kore.”
