Chapter 48

KATELYN.

"Isn't it wonderful to relax like this?" Aimee exclaimed as our bodies soaked in the hot spring. The water was warm, while a cool breeze swept through the air.

We were at an open hot spring in Brentwood, known for its various types of hot springs and beautiful scenery.

"Tomorrow, shall we go to the foot of the volcano? It's not active, right?" Aimee asked, and I nodded.

"Yes, it hasn't been active for thirty years, and now the base of the mountain has turned into a ski park," I explained, and they seemed excited for tomorrow's activity.

"Do you guys know how to ski?" Loraine asked, but I didn't respond. Instead, I pretended to go back to soaking in the water and leaned against a large rock behind me.

Honestly, I couldn't believe what Gadreel had told me about Loraine and the incubus in my dream.

Moreover, what was he thinking, suspecting Eligor of all people? They entered school at the same time, and Eli had no knowledge of Loraine's actions.

So when he whispered that to me, I couldn't help but wonder. But I also couldn't deny that I was becoming more cautious with every move I made.

He even warned me to be careful with what I said and advised me not to keep that dream catcher far from me if I wanted to prove what he said was true.

"Remember when we were in college? That guy was so cute. I almost dumped Charles for him," I heard Aimee say, and I discreetly glanced in Loraine's direction.

I was eager to see her reaction.

"Ah, Miguel?" Loraine asked. She knew who Aimee was referring to, but why? I couldn't recall Loraine being there with us at that time.

I pondered, what if I made up a story now and observed if she agreed with me? After all, my dream catcher was nearby. I had brought it all the way to the hot spring but kept it hidden so no one would think I was weird.

"Oh, Loraine, do you still have contact with your crush, Samuel?" I asked her, but it was just a fabricated question.

She looked at me and immediately smiled, "Ah, hahaha, no, I don't," she hesitated with her response, and my heart raced.

I felt like I was standing in front of someone committing a crime but still trying to conceal it.

"Samuel? Who's that?" Aimee asked, and I grew anxious, fearing that Loraine might be reading Aimee's thoughts.

"Ah, you don't know him. Weren't we in different classes last semester, so you weren't with us?" I made up an excuse and Loraine looked at me again. She stared at me seriously, as if she could sense that I knew what was happening.

"Hmm... wait, my memory is a bit fuzzy. Were you the one who had a crush on him, right Loraine? I forgot, hahaha," I made up another excuse so she wouldn't suspect me, but I think she was also puzzled as to why she couldn't read my thoughts now.

"I think you're referring to a different friend of yours, not me," she replied, and I smiled at her.

"Maybe you're right," I replied briefly.

Between the two of us, we both knew that we were hiding something unusual from each other.

Perhaps she thought I already knew and needed to deny it until it became clear to me what was happening around me.

We finished bathing and went to our respective rooms. As soon as I entered mine, I felt freezing cold, even though the air conditioning was turned off and the heater was on.

"It's so cold!" Aimee complained while drying her hair. I changed into my sleepwear and put on a thick, full-over jacket.

"I'll step outside for a bit," I informed them, and they waved at me. I headed to our meeting spot with Eligor and saw him standing on the long bridge, gazing up at the vast sky.

Each breath he exhaled created small puffs of fog due to the cold. His perfectly-shaped nose and fingers turned red.

I didn't approach him immediately; I just watched him from where I stood. Eligor was incredibly handsome. Now that he was my boyfriend, I couldn't help but wonder why I hadn't noticed him before and always had my attention on Gadreel.

As I observed him now, a feeling of sadness enveloped me. What if Gadreel's accusations about him and Loraine were true?

What if there was something different about his identity?

Honestly, until now, I was still puzzled about who Eligor really was. I knew nothing about his name, age, or occupation.

I knew I was comfortable with him, and I knew some of his likes and dislikes. But aside from that, I knew nothing else about him.

Who was he really?

"Kate," he turned his gaze towards me, and as our eyes met, a smile instantly graced his lips.

"Sorry I'm late," I replied to him, and I suddenly noticed that my feet were moving towards him on their own accord.

Even though I knew nothing about this man, I had truly fallen for him.

"It's alright. I just arrived," he answered, embracing me tightly and wrapping me in his thick coat.

"I miss you," he whispered, and I smiled in return while hugging him back.

"We were together in the van just a while ago, hahaha," I replied, and I felt his lips press against my forehead, nose, and then my lips.

We shared a passionate kiss, one that surpassed the coldness we both felt.

While our lips were locked, I could feel his hand sliding into my leggings, caressing the space between my thighs.

"Wait, we're outside," I murmured to him, unable to control the tremble in my legs caused by his fingers exploring me.

"So what?" he whispered in my ear, continuing to pleasure me from behind.

"What if someone hears us?" I whispered to him, but I couldn't help but moan due to the speed and pleasure of his movements.

"Moan all you want; no one will hear you in this place," he replied, and I did as he said.

"Turn around, Kate," he ordered, and I leaned against a tree in front of me while he continued to kiss me, trailing down from my neck to my chest.

"We're outside, Eli," I reminded him as he lowered my leggings and underwear to my knees.

I glanced around, and that's when I saw Aimee and Loraine walking not far away.

"E-Eli... A-Aimee..." I gasped as I felt him enter me and his grip on my chest.

"So what?" he whispered in my ear, and he began to thrust into me from behind.

"Wait... they might hear us," I whispered to him, but I couldn't help but moan due to the intensity and pleasure he was giving me.

"Try your best to stifle your moans, if you can... hahaha," he whispered, and I irritably glanced at him, but he quickly reached for my lips and kissed me again.

One of his hands held onto my waist while the other played with my intimacy, repeatedly pounding me from behind.

"Aaa... ugh! Please, Eli... stop."

"Stop? Then why are you soaking wet down here? Maybe you're excited at the thought of being caught," he whispered, intensifying his thrusts in and out of my passage.

"No-no... aaahhh..." How can I explain this? I'm genuinely afraid of being seen, but that fear only adds to the thrill of what we're doing.

What's happening to me? I don't want to make any noise, but I can't control my moans.

"Faster... aaah—"

"Did you hear that, Loraine?" Aimee asked, gripping Loraine tightly in fear.

"What?" Loraine asked, but I saw her turn in our direction, and in those moments, our eyes met.

"It sounded like someone in pain like someone crying!" Aimee replied, clearly terrified.

"It's so dark in this park tonight, there might be ghosts. Let's go back to the inn," Loraine suggested, but I knew she saw us here.

"But Kate isn't here yet, and she left her phone in the room."

"She's definitely with Eligor." They walked away from our spot and returned to the inn.

"Hmmmp... aaahh," I breathed a sigh of relief and turned to Eli to kiss him again. He lifted me up, and he sat on the grass covered in a thin layer of snow.

"Ride me," he commanded, and I wrapped my arms around his neck, kissing him again as I moved on top of him.
