Chapter 30
A week later, all street gangs were brought together, into one whole gang 'Darkness', which completely personified them. Each man worked diligently in the hall, accumulating strength in his body for the upcoming battle.
Each blow was strong, fast and calculated. The duel paired with weapons taught them a cunning uppercut with a knife with a fist handle.
Every move was premeditated with the goal of destroying as many enemies as possible.
Their shooting improved much more, now absolutely everyone could hit from any point, from any distance, directly at the target of a given object.
In the left building, preparations were made for the exit. The guys dressed in overalls, supplied with weapons. Each wore the same black outfit with a white upside-down house emblem.
Nick tossed the last explosive into the black bag, signaling with his hand that it was time to leave. The men picked up their luggage as they all left the room where they had spent the week sweating from training.
Everyone knew that he might not come back alive. Everyone knew what they were getting into.
But that was their life.
The bags were thrown into the trunks, people were in their places and after the signal, the cars started off and rushed to the point designated by Foster.
'Everything is in its place, how do you hear it?' Miller said, checking the connection.
In his ear, just like everyone else, was a black wireless stereo headset.
'Great, we'll make them guys,' James cheered his men up, realizing that everyone needed support right now.
An indeterminate amount of time later, everyone was a block away from the office, fully prepared for instructions. James got out of the car, looking around at the people there.
One.
'First group, come in through the back door.'
Two.
'The second group, take positions on high-rises.'
Three.
'Third group, surround the building.'
Four.
'The fourth group, take over the left wing.'
Five.
'Fifth group, right wing.'
Six.
'On command, my guys go with me and Nick inside the building.'
Seven.
'The rest, stay in the cars, you are on the rescue.'
Eight.
'Hang up.'
Foster swallowed hard as he looked up at the tall building. His men stood behind him, ready for his next orders. They were on the opposite side, safe from the keen eyes of Williams Foster's guards.
It was difficult to go against the father.
Not because there were family ties.
Because he was strong enough to break him.
Nine.
'Second group, move on,' James said firmly, not looking back.
Ten men scattered to the sides to take up positions on rooftops, balconies and other heights.
'Third group, surround the building without being seen.'
Twenty people nodded in agreement as they ran towards the skyscraper, each choosing their own side.
'First group, stand by, other groups, await my order.'
Ten.
'My group,' the guy paused, raising his palm up. 'Full speed ahead.'
With index and middle fingers, he pointed directly at the building, after which a group of people, along with Foster, moved from their place, running towards their target.
Everyone acted carefully and harmoniously, knowing their business, because there was no room for error.
James entered the office alone, briefly looking at everyone from under his brows. He climbed the steps as the doors automatically opened in front of him. Two guards met him at the entrance to the premises, several workers greeted him and passed by, after which he raised his head up, meeting the eyes of the blonde.
'Hello, James.'
Melanie stood opposite, smiling brightly, she still remembered that party.
And only then the guy realized that he needed to save the girl from the upcoming raid.
'Hello, Melanie. Williams must have already wrapped you up,' the young man hinted slightly.
The girl came closer, shaking her head negatively, but still smiling radiantly: 'No, he's not here today. It's much easier to work when Mr. Foster is out of the office.'
James rolled his eyes in shock, trying to say something, but he was completely at a loss, losing all the words in his head.
'You're fine, did you expect to see him?' The blonde shook him by the shoulder, waiting for him to come to his senses.
That is, I... More precisely...' He still could not find the right words. 'You mean that... Doesn't he have a conference today?'
'Oh, it's cancelled. The main investor was unable to attend due to a flight cancellation.'
'Damn it,' the boy hissed under his breath, pulling out his cell phone too quickly to dial an urgent message. 'Excuse me I have to go.'
He turned on his heels, heading for the exit. Along the way, James typed in a group message that read, 'Everyone, get out of position, gather near the cars.'
Williams Foster rose from his seat, picking up his cell phone from the table. He accepted the incoming call by holding the cell phone to his ear.
'I am listening to you.'
The man narrowed his brows, listening intently to the person on the other side of the phone.
'And what did he do?' Foster listened to the end, after giving instructions. 'Excellent, if something happens again call me.'
The call has ended.
Williams hurried down to the first floor. His heart beat excitedly against his chest, in anticipation of the coming war.
He longed to see his son fall like a miserable dog.
The man descended the luxurious staircase in his house, trying to find Evans, who decided to stay the night so as not to drive back in pitch darkness.
Inside the house was empty, there were no servants, no guy himself. Going out into the yard, where the sun shone in full, the brown-haired man immediately turned his head to the noise, noticing two tall guys that were smoking and talking about their own.
Williams Foster coughed to get their attention. The eyes turned, showing complete interest in the person who so wanted to win her.
The man narrowed his eyes in cunning, grinning all over his face: 'Nathan, gather people.'
Evans put out his cigarette butt on an ashtray that stood on a small yard table, then nodded and set off in an unknown direction.
Their plan failed, all they had to do was act completely differently. Foster put his hands on his head, his nerves on edge, because everything went downhill in a matter of seconds, without even starting.
'James, we need to go. You can't give up, you've never done this before,' said the brown-haired man, as soon as he climbed into the back seat to his friend.
'We don't have a plan!' Foster slammed his fist on the seat, completely frustrated.
'To hell with the fucking plan, we need to take revenge before it's too late,' the guy got out of the car, finally adding the right advice. 'Pull yourself together, don't give the boys a reason to give up.'
James was left alone with his thoughts, he digested all the words of the brown-haired woman, and in the end made the right decision. The young man left the car to deliver important news to his people, who were waiting for his final decision.
As soon as his boots hit the ground, he looked up earnestly, regaining the strength of the leader he was. Near the black jeeps were men who immediately turned their eyes to the blond.
'We will finish our raid, I have an idea where my father may be now,' Jay grimaced at the last words, not wanting to say this word again. 'By cars, we go to his house.'
Foster jumped into the first car to show the way to everyone else. When everyone was in their cars, the cortege headed for their destination.
Everyone was serious, their eyes were rude and hard. They were like hungry dogs waiting for their meat. No one was happy with the idea that they had to chase the victim, looking for her in the footsteps.
Their goal was simple enough.
He came, he killed, he took revenge.
The house turned out to be empty, there was absolutely no one in it, which shocked everyone in amazement. It was Williams Foster's apartment building, where could he be if not here?
'Where else could he be?' Miller yelled, losing control of himself.
His eyes were cold as ice, giving goosebumps. Jaw clenched, waiting for an answer to his question.
'I don't think he could be there,' James spoke his thoughts out loud, straining his brain to think of places where his father might be.
'Speak.'
'It is taboo not to be present in the house where we lived with my mother.'
'We're going there,' Nick ordered as he prepared to get into the car, but he was stopped by a firm grip on his shoulder.
'It's taboo!'
'Break the ban if you want revenge. Show the way to your former home.'
'I said we can't go there,' the blond man growled menacingly, ignoring the many looks that were directed at them.
'Listen to me here, Foster,' the guy said through his teeth, dropping someone else's hand from his shoulder.
He lowered his voice so no one could hear their conversation. Miller still hated Jay, but he understood that the guy was important in their joint business.
The brown-haired man saw that the young man was losing his spirit. He needed help getting back on his feet like Dean always did.
And in order to renew its solid core, it was simply necessary to put pressure on the most painful.
'Your father killed Dean, kidnapped Hailey, he gradually takes away all your power, your people. Do you still want to let him do it? Either you kill him or he kills you. Choose.'
Nick got into the car, slamming the door behind him. James narrowed his brows, clenching his jaw.
Hands gathered into fists, and the thought in my head said everything for itself: 'By cars!'
