Chapter 21
'I think you can go for a walk, you've been a good girl, haven't you, Hailey?' James looked at the girl who was in the middle of the room.
'I was a good girl.'
The brown-haired woman threw an evil look at the guy, who laughed out loud at such a conversation.
'What the hell are you laughing at?' Hailey asked rudely, causing everyone to turn their heads sharply in her direction.
The girl did not even understand what she said, because before going to ask such a request from the blond, she had a little drink with Rosie for courage and the words flew out of her mouth, losing control.
'I'm fucking looking, Jay, you raised your little bitch badly,' Nick growled, clenching his jaw.
'You didn't have any fucking right to laugh at me,' the girl hissed, losing control of herself.
She was so mad at this guy and the alcohol was in her system along with the nicotine, turning off her brain and allowing Hailey to do what she wanted.
'Shut your mouth right now. You don't have the right to do shit here and say nothing. It's you, Hailey, an empty place in this city,' Nick got up from the sofa on which he was sitting with the rest of the guys, coming close to the girl. 'So shut your mouth, bitch.'
'Nick, calm down!' Dean yelled, wanting to get up, but James stuck out his hand, placing his hand on the boy's chest, for him to sit back down, which Dean actually did.
'Shut up,' Hailey instantly hit the guy on the cheek with her palm, which caused a characteristic loud sound throughout the room.
The brown-haired woman's head turned away from such a blow.
He clenched his jaw, closing his eyes and trying to breathe moderately to calm himself.
'Oh, you shouldn't have done that,' Nick growled, turning to face him, opening glass-gray eyes.
Quickly squeezing his hand around his neck, the boy tightened his grip, losing control of himself. Anger showed in his eyes as he looked at Hailey.
'I hate to even touch you,' Miller hissed, not intending to remove his hand, but still allowing the girl to breathe.
Small palms lay on a huge male hand, trying to free themselves from the iron grip.
'Shut up,' the brown-haired woman with a red tint of hair threw caustically, bringing her eyebrows together on the bridge of her nose. 'Let go of me, damn it.'
'Ask for forgiveness on your knees, Hailey Mackenzie,' Nick said quietly, not wanting their conversation to be overheard by the other people who were watching them.
'Not even in your dreams, Nick Miller.'
The man's fingers tightened around the girl's neck as his gaze was directed straight into her eyes. No matter how the brown-haired woman tried to relax his grip, the male strength was much greater. More and more air disappeared from the lungs, and new oxygen got with great difficulty. The fingers pressed hard into the delicate skin, causing pain, after which bruises would remain.
'Jay is sitting right here,' Hailey whispered, trying to speak clearly and without the rasp in her voice.
'And what do you mean by that? Don't think he's your protection, bitch.'
'I will tell him everything,' the girl grunted, feeling slightly dizzy. 'that you pestered me and said threats.'
The guy narrowed his eyes, slightly tilting his head to the side, carefully listening and analyzing the speech of the young lady.
'And I don't care if you let me go around all your friends, because James would rather bury you before you can.'
'Nick, you've had enough,' a formidable voice separated the young people.
The grip loosened on the girl's neck, allowing her to breathe normally. There was a certain confusion in the boy's eyes as he sat down on the couch next to Foster, leaning back before closing his eyes. Hailey stood in the middle of the room, her hand on her neck, gasping for the oxygen her body needed. James Foster rose from his seat, walking slowly towards the girl.
'I will be right back,' he said, turning around to reassure the others.
Grabbing the brown-haired woman by the elbow, he forcibly dragged her along with him to the exit from the living room.
Climbing up to the second floor, he entered the room that Mackenzie had given over to her, shoving a brown-haired woman with a red tint of hair forward. Closing the door tightly, he stood in the middle of the room, glaring at Hayley from head to toe with a menacing look.
'Give me your hands,' the man said.
The girl cautiously approached the young man, stretching out her hands and carefully laying them in large male palms. Jay brought small, fragile hands up to his face, inhaling the scent. Her hands smelled of hand cream and scented soap.
'Come here, Hailey,' the blond man said, noticing only one step from the brown-haired woman in his direction. 'nearer.'
The girl came close to the guy, not knowing what to expect from him. James bent down to the young lady's face, softly touching her lips.
'Did you think to deceive me just by washing your hands?' Foster snarled, pulling away from her face. 'You know I forbade you to do that!'
A loud bang spread throughout the room, along with a woman's screech.
'But you,' the girl stammered, suppressing a sob. 'You allow all the other girls in the right building.'
'But I forbade you!' James yelled, annoyed even more by Hailey's stubbornness.
'But I'm just like them,' the brown-haired woman whispered, placing her cold hand on her right cheek to ease the heat and pain.
'No, you're mine,' the man growled, taking the girl's face in his hands. 'You are my girl, do you understand me?'
His voice became calmer and quieter on the last words, and his eyes took on their former color - blue. He removed her hand from her cheek, gently and gently kissing the damaged area. Hailey stared at James as tears welled up in her brown eyes, turning into hysteria out of nowhere. The chest began to rise and fall more often, greedily capturing air in the mouth. Sobs were loudly escaping from his throat, and tears were running down his cheeks, falling in drops onto his T-shirt.
'Hey, baby?' Foster wrapped his arms around the girl's waist, pulling her into an embrace. 'Oh, come here.'
Hailey gripped James's white T-shirt with her fingers, clenching her hands into fists, clutching desperately at his clothes, trying to feel secure and supported. Burying her face into his chest, the girl began to cry even harder, trying to control herself.
'I am so tired,' the brown-haired woman whimpered louder, repeating herself. 'I am so tired.'
'Angel, calm down,' the guy kissed Hailey on the top of her head, lightly stroking her hair with his palm.
He pulled her into his arms, nuzzling her brown hair.
'I want you to te-, the girl sobbed, trying to calm down and finish speaking normally. - tell about something.'
Jay took Hailey's hand as he walked with her to the bed. Sitting comfortably, he positioned the young lady between his legs, pressing her back against his chest. The brown-haired woman with a red tint of hair relaxed, placing her palms on top of his, which he had locked on her belly.
'I am listening to you, baby,' James whispered in his ear, sending shivers through his body from his hot breath.
'I tried to tell you this in the bathroom, but then Nick interrupted us and you left.'
'What did you want to tell me?'
Hailey rested her head on the man's shoulder, sighing heavily. All courage and audacity evaporated from the female body and now the girl doubted that Nick would not have time to harm her before James did it to Nick.
'There is one person who,' the brown-haired woman stumbled over the sentence, choosing the right words. 'mocks me.'
'Do I know this bastard?' The guy fumed as he sat Hailey up so that she was facing him.
Scowling into the young lady's eyes, the young man clutched the woman's waist in rage, losing control of his anger. The thought in his head that someone else had touched his girl was incapacitating him.
'Please, don't hurt me,' the girl groaned in pain, laying her small and tender hands over the man's palms.
'I am sorry kitty,' James kissed Hailey on the cheek, apologetically.
'He threatened me not to tell you,' the brown-haired woman muttered.
'What did he do to you?' The boy growled, flexing his fingers lightly.
'He wanted me.'
'Everyone wants you, be more specific.'
'He touched me and continues to do so, but there was nothing. He told me that if I tell you all this, then he will let me go around all his acquaintances. And I'm afraid, James, that he will continue to touch me and do to me what I told you earlier.'
'Wait,' the blond man narrowed his eyebrows at the bridge of his nose, analyzing everything he heard in his head. 'Will he let you go around?' Foster thought about it, trying to remember where he'd heard it before.
Excerpts from clubs flashed in his head, pictures of where he was with all the girls, dirty words and sentences, moans and screams, alcohol and nicotine, and then the guy understood everything, remembering one case.
It dawned on him and turning to face Hailey, he clenched his jaw, saying the name of the one he assumed in his mind:
'Don't tell me it's Nick. It's him, isn't it?'
