Chapter 4
All thanks to her, I ended up like this.
Thinking about everything I went through, I wanted to tear a chunk of flesh right off her!
Dominic rolled his eyes. “What could happen to her? Why are you worrying about someone else right now?”
But even as he said it, he pulled out his phone to check my social media.
Lily suddenly grabbed her head. “Dominic, my head hurts so bad!”
Dominic dropped his phone at once and rushed to check on her.
He yelled toward the door. “Where’s the doctor! Get in here now!”
I was the only one who knew she was faking it. I caught that tiny little smirk on her lips.
But Dominic was totally wrapped around her finger.
Part of me couldn’t wait to see his face when he found out the truth. Part of me was scared he’d lose it completely.
The next day, our mutual friend Jake Morris came running up to Dominic with news that I was missing.
Dominic was busy talking to doctors about Lily’s surgery.
He just gave this casual “Mm–hmm. So what’s that got to do with me?”
Jake was about to explode.
“Nora’s missing! She could be in real danger!”
Dominic shrugged. “You’re worried? Go look for her yourself.”
Whether I lived or died meant nothing to him. Especially not when Lily’s surgery was coming up.
Jake sighed. “Dominic, how can you be so cold to Nora?”
“Cold?” Dominic let out this bitter laugh. “Was she thinking about being cold when she got my sister killed?”
Jake went quiet, but he tried one more time. “What happened to your sister back then… that was really just an accident…”
His sister was Dominic’s biggest trigger, so he absolutely lost it.
“Jake, that’s enough!”
Dominic kept his voice low, but couldn’t hide the rage.
“Even if that woman died, it’s got nothing to do with me!”
“I don’t give a shit if she’s dead or alive.”
“Actually, if she’s dead? That’d make my day.”
“Next time you come find me, I hope you’re bringing news of her funeral.”
Jake stared at him like he couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
“You used to care about Nora so much. How can you say something so heartless?”

Chapter 4
Dominic let out this cold laugh. “Like you said–that was before.”
“Now? She’s just the bitch who killed my sister!”
Hearing those words hit me like a punch to the gut.
After all this time, he still hated me that much.
He couldn’t get over what happened to his sister Sophie back then.
But I was innocent too!
Me and his sister–we died by the same person’s hand.
I know who the killer is, but there’s no way I can tell him.
Dominic, why couldn’t you just look at my body a little closer?
I left you the most important clue…
