Chapter 50: Perverted Possessiveness

Chapter 50: Perverted Possessiveness

He claimed his territory in the most direct way possible.

The surroundings fell silent at first.

Then came the whistles.

That's when he snapped back to reality and let go.

He pulled Mia, whose cheeks were flushed red from his kiss, into his arms. In the corner where she couldn't see, he shot a cold glance at the guy who looked like a complete clown.

If his friends found out about this, they'd definitely roast him for fighting dirty.

He never thought he'd do something so childish.

But in that moment, his head got hot and he just did it.

The scariest part was—he didn't regret it at all.

He walked Mia to the car with his arm around her.

Once in the car, Mia kept her head down, both hands clutching her bag strap, clearly still embarrassed.

He leaned over to fasten her seatbelt. Looking at her tender lips, he couldn't hold back. He grabbed her chin again.

And took her breath away.

The kiss deepened gradually, so intense it felt like he wanted to devour her completely.

When the kiss finally ended, Mia was left weak all over, leaning against the seat back.

Her lips slightly parted.

She looked up at him with a face full of reproach.

If it weren't for the fact that where the car was parked wasn't suitable, he wouldn't have bothered driving away at all.

He'd have taken Mia right there to experience what it felt like in the car.

"You're too rough."

She'd almost suffocated just now.

And she could clearly feel he was acting on emotion.

She felt a bit wronged. "I didn't do anything wrong."

"From now on, if anyone tries to hit on you, just call me directly. I'll handle it."

He knew he was making a big deal out of nothing.

But he just couldn't stand it.

The more he got used to having her by his side, the stronger his possessiveness became.

If he hadn't seen another guy showing interest in her with his own eyes, he wouldn't have known his possessiveness over Mia had reached an almost twisted level.

"Okay."

His intense possessiveness didn't scare Mia off. Instead, she was very cooperative.

After agreeing, she was very obedient.

Whenever she encountered such situations, she'd call him. Not a single one slipped through.

After that day, he added a new daily task—helping Mia deal with these guys.

From several a day at first, to fewer and fewer later on.

Eventually, they almost stopped appearing.

He knew it wasn't because Mia had become less attractive, but because his way of handling things had spread.

Everyone knew Mia had a boyfriend who was excellent in every way.

Only a very few who weren't afraid of death still tried, and he dealt with them secretly too.

Mia's good habit of rejecting men had been maintained all the way until now.

But Louis had broken it!

"Get in the car."

An extremely jealous James put his arm around Mia and half-forced her into the car.

Even though deep down he knew Louis couldn't possibly have real feelings for Mia, still—

He was pissed!

He shut the car door.

Mia was completely speechless.

What was wrong with James!

Having been controlled by him for years, she certainly knew what this behavior meant.

He didn't like other men around her. Before, when he kept himself clean too, she naturally cooperated.

But now, he'd already slept with Amelia, and he had zero self-awareness. How could he have the nerve to control her?

In front of Louis, Mia didn't want to fight with James.

She took a deep breath and raised her hand to lower the window.

Louis, who was also rolling his eyes internally, held back.

Looking at the angry Mia, he bent down slightly, standing outside the car, smiling as he reminded her, "Mia, remember to stay in a good mood."

Having a friend like James really exhausted him.

He could only keep telling himself not to stoop to the level of James, whose emotional intelligence was in the negatives.

"I will."

While fastening her seatbelt, Mia smiled in response.

The two of them started chatting again through the car window.

James had been putting up with Louis for a long time. His gaze on Louis's profile was ice cold.

It was like it contained countless little knives, all aimed at Louis.

His eyes were full of disdain.

What's with all the smiling? A grown man grinning like an idiot for no reason.

What's so funny!

James couldn't even be bothered to say goodbye. He just raised the window, cutting off their line of sight.

He stepped on the gas, and the car smoothly and quickly drove away.

Louis, who got a face full of exhaust, was completely speechless.

Seriously!

He helped him and got treated with disdain.

Usually so smart, but when it came to feelings, James was like an idiot.

Not recognizing his own heart was one thing.

But getting jealous for no reason too.

Absolutely moronic.

If it weren't for their years of friendship, he'd really just quit.

Just let him drive Mia away then.

He was so mad!

......

After finishing his internal rant, Louis put his phone back in his pants pocket.

When he pulled his hand out, something came out with it.

It fell at his feet and unfolded.

Louis looked down.

It was a napkin with the Azure Palace Hotel logo on it.

Written crookedly in lipstick: Too fast, bad review!

Louis's smile instantly froze, and he nearly ground his molars to dust.

Last night was, to him—an absolute humiliation!

Louis, who'd been through countless women without getting attached to any.

One day, he actually got taken advantage of by a woman!

She took his first time, and dared to criticize him for being too fast!

Could he be blamed?

If she hadn't been so...

Thinking of that woman he'd met outside the nightclub bathroom last night, whose name he didn't even know but who looked like an angel.

Just thinking about it made Louis feel parched.

At the hospital entrance, there were lots of people.

Coming and going.

Louis glanced around from the corner of his eye and inconspicuously bent down to pick up that piece of paper as quickly as possible.

Something that humiliated him like this should have been torn to shreds and thrown in the trash.

But this morning, somehow, he'd actually kept it.

Louis bent down to pick up the napkin, slowly folded it again, and put it back in his pocket!

He wasn't tearing it up just to keep the "evidence," no other reason.

Head down, his lips curved into a cold smile!

She really had some nerve!

Better not let him run into her again in Imperial City.

Otherwise.

......

Luxe Haven

They arrived home close to dinner time.

James walked in first.

Out of habit, he bent down to get her slippers.

Mia followed in. She didn't smell any cooking, nor did she hear the sounds of the housekeeper preparing food in the kitchen.

She was being discharged today. At this time, the housekeeper who should have been in the kitchen preparing her dinner wasn't there.

Standing in the entryway, she felt very anxious.

She suddenly remembered a few days ago, the day she was admitted to the hospital.

Amelia had come to provoke her early in the morning, her words deliberately showing off and trying to upset her.

The housekeeper, trying to protect her, had seriously offended Amelia.

How could the high-and-mighty Amelia possibly let the housekeeper off?

At this thought, a bad feeling washed over Mia.
