Bonus Chapter — Side Story: The Date
Alex was already downstairs waiting when Eva got ready and got out of the room. He just stood frozen staring at her for a solid minute before Eva cleared her throat, startling him.
"So, umm...how is it? How do I look?" She twirled around, letting her knee length dress swirl along with her. She was a little hesitant as well as nervous thinking of Alex's reply.
"YOU LOOK STUNNING!! I-I mean y-you look great." He said with a wide smile on his face.
'Yes. I chose the right guy!'
Eva internally patted herself with a proud smile on her face.
Well tonight Alex had asked Eva out on a dinner date just to focus on enjoying every moment with each other, which was much needed specially for Alex.
"Then, shall we?" Alex extended his hand for Eva to take. She complied to his gesture and placed her hand on his.
They went outside. He opened the car door for her. A slight blush made its way on Eva's cheeks as she smiled at his gesture before entering the car.
After about a two-hour ride, Alex finally stopped and parked the car nearby.
He took her to his favourite place in a view tower which was isolated from the city area. Since he was the one to plan the date, he had already set up everything beforehand.
Eva's POV
After a few hours of riding, he finally stopped the car and parked it. At first, I was confused as to why he stopped it in such a desolate area but when I climbed up the stairs with him on a terrace of some view tower, I immediately fell in love. It was decorated so beautifully—all the lights and little photographs we clicked together hung neatly on the pillars and trees. Tt was so pretty... I stood there speechless and looked at him.
He gave me his sweetest smile, took my hand, and walked me to the table. It was all like a dream. He pulled chair back for me. The food was already on the table. When did he even prepare all of this? Did he really want it to be special? The Alex I knew of 2 years ago would not even give it a thought and now look at him doing all this. I was already overwhelmed by the amount of love he was showering me with every day and now this…I really love him.
We enjoyed our dinner in peaceful silence with pleasant breeze making the atmosphere soothing and calm.

"No, it was for someone else, but she couldn't come here, here we are." Alex sighed.
A visible frown displayed itself on Eva's face as she let out a disheartened 'oh' before looking down at her hands.
Alex was watching each of her moves carefully. He let out a chuckle.
"Of course. It is for you. Who else for it would be?" He stood up and kneeled beside her. She directed her glance from hands to his eyes, sincerity written all over his face.
Eva bit her lower lip and cheered up instantly. 'Just like a baby.' Alex mentally said to himself.
"Why? You didn't like it? Or it was too much? I knew I should've toned it down a bit." There was a slight nervousness in his voice, which obviously Eva found surprisingly cute.
She giggled. "No, it was wonderful. It was the best date I've ever had."
Eva replied before Alex could make his own assumptions.
"Really?"
His eyes literally sparkled.
"Yes. Why would I lie to you?"
Eva said in a playful tone.
"Of course, you wouldn't. You love me."
He happily replied.
Before Eva could say anything, he took her hands and sneakily slipped a ring on her ring finger. The cold sensation from the sudden metallic touch startled her at first, but when she saw a round golden ring with a diamond embedded on it, a gasp automatically escaped from her.
She looked at Alex with an astonished expression. Her face asking and saying everything.
"I—" Eva opened her mouth but soon closed it. The rush of emotions made her stop.
Alex chuckled looking at his lover’s freak out, but in a good way.
"Who gave you the permission to be this cute?"
"But—
"I know. I know. But baby let me ask you again this time formally. Will you, Eva Maggot, bestow me the honour of being your lover, your only one and your soon-to-be husband? Will you give me the chance to be the happiest man on this earth?"
He clasped both of his hands with Eva's before kissing both of them and looking into her eyes, anticipating her answers.
"But you are already my boyfriend."
Eva clasped her mouth close with one of her hands, as soon as she let those words out.
Alex shook his head, a chortle leaving his mouth.
"And you deserve better. So, what's your answer to my question?"
"YESS. Of course, it's a YESS."
She threw herself in his arms, nuzzling herself into them as he gently wrapped his arms around her, and kissed the top of her head.
"I love you." Eva whispered, finally looking up with a wide grin on her face.
"I love you more."
Alex replied with a gentle tone, relaying the same or even more happiness than Eva and under the millions of stars that bore the witness of their love, they shared a kiss.
