Chapter 19

"My mate," he uttered.

I swallowed saliva when I heard it from him. I immediately avoided and moved away from him. Suddenly my heart beat faster for reasons I can't explain.I grabbed my chest and immediately went out the door of my room.

"What the hell, Crema?! Don't give in to the urge you feel!" I preached to myself.

"It doesn't exist. Just imagine it!" I added.

I always knew what I wanted and that was to get justice for my parents. And that's what I should think about but why do I feel this strange feeling?!

While I was walking in the Corridor, I accidentally bumped into Martha because of my haste. We looked at each other and I couldn't help but ask her where Aries and Aryana were.

"That's you, Martha," I said with a smile. 

"Where are they?" I asked him.

"Ahm, resting,"she answered.

"How about Aryana?" I asked again.

"Ahm,She's resting too. I took her to the room that Alpha prepared for her," Martha said with a smile.

"Prepared by Alpha?!" I asked in disbelief. 

"Yes,"she answered.

I got annoyed by what he said. I don't know why I feel sad and before I was completely defeated by my emotions, I said goodbye to Martha.

When I entered the room, I couldn't stop crying. I was crying because I was disgusted with my own feelings. I didn't want to disappoint my parents. I had no other desire but to give justice to their death.

“No! It's not possible. I won't let you down. That's a promise, Mom, Dad!" I said to myself firmly.

I admit that I have fallen for him. But I still can't erase the fact that he is the one who killed my parents. He is the reason why I became an orphan early. He is the creature who mercilessly killed them and I also witnessed one of the biggest nightmares that ever happened in my life. 

The next day I woke up early and cleaned myself up. I made myself more beautiful so that the Alpha would be more attracted to me. I always remind myself of my true desire and that is to tame and play with the Alpha's heart. I can't be weak at this moment.No way!

Suddenly, someone knocked on the door of my room. I quickly walked over to open it.When I opened it, I saw the smiling face of the Alpha. His smiles were sweet that really softened any woman but I had learned and I really think first of my true desire why I am here.

"Hi, Alpha" I greeted him with a smile.

"I'm sorry if I got drunk last night, Crema. I really enjoyed last night with you all," he replied with a smile.

"No, It's fine," I said to him with a smile. 

"Thank you and thank you because you are the one who took me to my room.It was the second time you have done that," he smiled gratefully.

"Well, if you're protective and caring towards me, I'm the same towards you, Alpha" I said to him with a smile.

"Did I hear right?" he asked with a smile. 

"Yeah, I like you but I'm not really ready yet," I answered with a smile.

"It's okay. I understand as long as I know that you like me too," he said with a smile. 

"Yes,maybe I like you, but that will not be an obstacle to my revenge plan. You still need to pay for everything!" I said to myself firmly.

"Ahmm, are you going to do something today?" I asked him.

"Uhmm, Nothing. Why?" he asked.

"I would like to go to the Cave where the book of Magnus you are talking about is. To be honest, I am still curious up to this day" I answered.

"It's dangerous, Crema.You already know what happened last night,right?" he countered. 

"Yes but you are there to protect me. I have nothing to worry about.Will you protect me,right?"I asked her sweetly.

"Didn't you say that the fated mates will be written there?" I added.

"I want to see where you write my name," I said softly.

He sighed and smiled at what I said.I think I got him by my sweet words.

"Uhmm, okay. I'll give it to you now so I can make up for what you did last night," he replied with a smile.

"That's good to hear!" I said to him with a smile.

"Let's go?" I invited him.

When we left the castle, he held my hand and suddenly we went far because of his speed.I saw a mountain in the distance and he pointed to it.

"Inside that mountain is the cave where the book of Magnus is," he said seriously.

I became more and more curious, especially with my questions to him. We were careful when entering the narrow road. He said that it was the way to enter the cave where the engraved book was located and it was the Book of Magnus.

We entered slowly while he held my hand. I felt around us because there might be enemies surrounding us. I didn't feel or smell anything strange so I continued walking into the cave. To be honest, I feel excited to see what kind of book it is. I'm also curious as to why men still need to write their names on it after the mating ritual. What is the compelling reason?

"Are you okay, Crema?" he asked.

"Yes, of course!" I answered.

I saw him stunned for a moment while looking at the stones ahead. I looked when I saw a large square shape attached to the wall and I looked at him.

"That's the book of Magnus.The first Lycan created in ancient times to engrave the names of two mated wolves who destined for each other according to the prophecy," he said seriously.

"Does that mean all the names of the mated werewolves are engraved there?" I asked curiously.

"How about you? What is your desire in life? Don't you want us to engrave our name in that book?" he asked seriously.

I couldn't answer his question right away. I got even closer to where the book was and I touched it. It was as if something opened under the wall and this book didn't run out of paper because of its thickness.But I still chose to read all the names.And there were  words that really caught my attention when I read the name written in the book.
