I went back to the crazy bitch Who was now gaining consciousness.
” Who sent you ?”. I asked punching her in the mouth. She spit on me. I tied the rope around her neck and choked her . I kept hitting her but she wouldn't talk. She passed out and I tied her mouth up and left her.
I was covered in blood all over again. I Sat there as the hours went by. I had taken her phone,it was vibrating. A message came in.
“ How much longer do I have to wait in this goddamn car, Leslie?”.
My hand shook for a moment and then I replied.
“ I need to wait for Chase “. I replied
“ I thought I was waiting on the road here for him”.
My heart started beating too fast. He was waiting for Dominic to return.
“ He should be here by sunrise ,come to the house and wait with me . It's more comfortable here”.
“ Fuck I'm hungry Les”.
“ Just shut up and come. I'll leave the backdoor open. I'm in the room, don't turn on the lights”.
“ yea yea. I'm coming, make sure I get something to eat”.
I didn't reply. I checked her and her heartbeat was slowing down. I didn't fucking care. I walked to The kitchen and opened the door. I used the moonlight to check How Many bullets were left. Two. I had her two guns. I would only use it if it's necessary,the sound May Wake Mia and Gideon.
I figured If I was downstairs he may make it upstairs and he may find Mia and Gideon .I wasn't taking any chances with my babies so I went upstairs and stood at the top of the stairs in the dark. The curtains were black out curtains and the house was already dark,it was pitch black. From the bottom of the curtains,I saw the headlights of the car .I heard the car door . I heard the back door close. I saw his shadow making its way into the living room.
“ Leslie?”. He called out. Standing at the bottom of the stairs. “ Shhh”. I said hoping he'd take the bait. He made his way up the stairs. He was four flights of stairs up when I shot him. I guess he was always prepared, because he started shooting at where he thought I was. I didn't move, I couldn't. I took her gun and shot him ,he tried coming upstairs but fell backwards.
I heard the running and I thought he wasn't alone. I raised the gun and pointed it at the bottom of the stairs and was about to pull the trigger when The lights went on and Dominic ran into view. I dropped the gun and looked at him. I heard Gideon ,I saw Ryan run in behind him with two other men.
I ran into the room. Dominic was up the stairs and behind me. I opened the closet and walked in to the last closet door and opened it. He was awake, sitting up and crying,Mia was still asleep. I sank to the floor. I looked at my left side and saw that a bullet hit me in my left shoulder.
“ Take him, don't let him see me like this ” ,I said.
“ Hey buddy, sorry about the noise it's okay. Daddy here , Mommy's here too, it's okay “. He stroked his back to Calm him down.
“ Ryan, get up here ” He walked out of the room,I saw detective Ryan walk in ,he came and kneeled down in front of me.
“ You got shot, you're covered in blood “.
“ Not mine. The woman, just my shoulder. I'm okay, I'm okay “. I said

I went back downstairs and handed Cyrus to Angela. I ran back upstairs and got Mia and took her back downstairs and left her with my mother-in-law . She was sitting on the bed. Ryan looked at me.
“ One gunshot to the shoulder . She's okay” He said walking out. I looked at her and she smiled. I walked to her and just held her ,she began crying.
“ I'm sorry , I'm sorry I left you alone “. I kissed her forehead. I heard a Knock on the door. I turned around and the idiot was standing there. She looked at him then at me.
“ Chase explain it to her. Also her name is Leslie Lewis, Murderer for hire, he's Jacob Lewis her brother , same profession”. He said, looking at us.
“ You know Who they work for?”.
“ They don't have a boss”.
“ No they do. She was talking to someone and she called him " Boss". I looked at her .
Ryan came into the room behind Sam.
“ Mrs Chase, can you tell me exactly what happened?”. Ryan asked .
I held her and listened to her tell him what happened. Fuck I love her more and more each day. She knew something was wrong. She knew she had to protect our kids and made sure they were safe. I Sat listening to her. Fuck if I was coming back alone, I wouldn't know someone was waiting for me.
“ I have her phone “, She said, pulling it out of her Jean pocket. Sam took it from her. Ryan didn't stop him. He dialed the number and put it on speaker.
“ Leslie is chase back?” the man asked.
“ Hello Hello Rafael. Didn't I say the chase family is off limits?”. Sam said
“ Who the fuck is this?”.
“ So you've forgotten Who put you where you are huh. Start running Rafael,start now “ .
“ Sam no , wait, it's a hundred million. We'll split it” ,The man said, I could hear the desperation in his voice.
“ Time starts now Rafael, I'm coming “. He said, ending the call.
“ Chase? ,can I borrow a car?”. Sam asked, looking at me.
“ Sure ,but don't kill anyone or she'll be going to jail in your place if you do some crazy shit” ,I gave him a warning. Look.
“ I won't, you have my word. I'll bring him to you ” ,He just smiled.
“ Come on , let's get you to the hospital. You got shot “. I said standing up and helping her up. “ The kids ?”. She asked.
“ They're okay, they're with Your mom. Allie , Maya ,and Richy are okay too, they're safe Detective Ryan has people watching them” ,I helped her down the stairs.
When we got downstairs the men had already removed the bodies. I got her into the car and held her. Bennett was in the front seat , Jason was driving.
“ Tia, are you okay?” he asked, looking at her. “I'm okay, I promise Bennett “.
When we got to the hospital, I didn't wait or ask, I picked her up and walked in with her. After the doctor checked her up ,he removed the bullet. We headed back home. Everyone was in the main house. The minute Allie saw her she grabbed onto her.
“ You're hurt ,Do you need anything,are you okay?”. Allie asked.
“ I'm okay Allie,I promise. I just need to shut my eyes for a few minutes ”.
I could tell she was tired,she hadn't slept. Mom came over and took her. “ Come on sweetheart. Let Dominic take care of you. The kids are fine, they're okay. You rest now “. Mom smiled and rubbed her back.
Everyone was in the main house. I took her to my Old room and got her in bed. She started crying.
“ Talk to me love. What's wrong?”.
“ I was fucking terrified Dominic, even when Sam had me I wasn't this scared. I was scared I couldn't protect Mia and Gideon. I was so scared that they would find them and hurt them ” ,She said between tears. I held her.
“ I know. But I also know that you're strong Tia,more than you know and I know you would never give anyone the chance to hurt Mia and Gideon, even me. We're all here. Get some rest and we'll talk later okay “.
“ Okay”.
I took her mouth , kissing her hard and deep. Thankful that she was still with me.
“ I love you Dominic “.
“ I love you too Baby. Get some rest”.
I laid with her until she fell asleep then went back outside.
“ How is she Son ?, what exactly happened out there?”. My Dad asked.
I told them what she said happened. Allie looked terrified. I Sat down on the couch and Mia came to me, climbing up my foot. I grabbed her and held her. She always seemed To sense when I was worried or distressed. I held her and kissed her head. Thankfully Their mother wasn't weak and she knew to protect them.
“ I always knew Tia was headstrong and determined, especially when she puts her mind To something , I didn't know she had it in her “. Angela said holding Gideon.
“ As a mother you'll do anything to protect your children and she did what any mother would do”. Mom said.
We were sitting there when I saw Sam walk into the living room. I bargained with Detective Ryan. The Chase family would take responsibility for Sam if he was released for seven days. It took a few hours but we agreed on a deal . I knew he was the only person that could get to the bottom of this.
“ Can you gentlemen follow me outside. I'll ask you ladies to remain inside with the children , especially your wife”., he said looking at Bennett, He said looking at me. I handed Mia to Mom and walked out. We followed him halfway down the driveway. He opened the trunk and pulled a Guy out. He stooped down and looked at him.
