We were sitting in the courtroom. Reporters were swarming the place. Detective Ryan helped us in . Sam or what's his name was first. When the prosecutor started questioning him I zoned out,I sat there just lost in thought.
Honestly I was terrified of getting pregnant again. I don't know how Dominic was going to take that news even Elizabeth. I don't want to disappoint them and myself. I felt someone touching me , Dominic was looking at me. He nodded in the direction of the stand.when I looked up Alyssa was sitting there and she had a smug look on her face.
Allie was ruthless to her. When we walked out of that court room there was a lot of talk. People were wondering why Alyssa's father didn't try to help her and why the chase family's daughter-in-law was defending the kidnapper.
Sam got sentenced to Five years, he got some time off for working with Detective Ryan and providing information. I don't know what Allie did but Rachel got sentenced to one year with the portability of Probation also community service , Alyssa got sentenced to Five also. As they were bringing her out she stopped and looked at me.
“ This isn't over bitch”. She snarled
“ It will be for you ”. I said looking at her.
When we got home Dominic and I went to dinner. Everything was right in the world.

The entire weekend that was all you heard about in the News and online. What Alyssa did. It was a new week and I was in my office. She's back at work and everything is back to normal. Well almost normal.
This entire weekend she wouldn't let me touch her. She avoided me , always doing something and always with someone. She wanted to go back to her place but I wasn't budging ,I told her not yet.
I was waiting for Jameson to call me. Alyssa has tried calling me multiple times. I blocked the number. Someone knocked on my door.
“ Come in ”.
Marcy walked in ,She was from Tia's department
“ Yes Ms Giddings?”.
“ Umm , Tia's bodyguard is about to kill someone ”. I was already standing
“ What happened?”.
“ Tia hasn't been to the office in a while so he doesn't know her . Last week HR sent us a new Assistant and it's a guy. He's been pestering Tia all week. Tatiana and The guys in the department already warned him but apparently he thought they were joking. This morning he started badgering her asking her out on a date. Tia told him she's Married and not interested,he should do his job or he's going to get fired. Well that pissed him off and he grabbed her and started calling her names. He hit her that's When Joshua I think came in and started hitting him”.
“ Let's go ”. I should just Lock her ass away at home. When we got to the department They were all standing in the conference room, Joshua had the idiot by the throat against the wall. When I looked at her ,her lips were bleeding.
“ You can all go back to work, I'll handle this”. They nodded and left. I Locked the door and looked at the guy.
“ Let him go Joshua and you can leave” , when he did he slumped to the floor.
“ Did you do this ?”. I asked him, touching her now swollen lips.
“ She's a cunt , leading me on, then playing hard to get. So what if I did it she deserves it that's how you treat women like her”. He was standing looking at her
“ You know she's married right?”.
“ So , what's that to you? Probably some low life that can't even fuck her right ”.
I grabbed him by the throat and slammed his head into the wall. “ Let me go, I'll sue you “.
“ You touch my wife and then you'll sue me?. Go ahead, it's no problem for me to add one more name to the people I have to kill in order to protect my woman”.
I saw When realisation hit him.“ If I see you anywhere near this building,near her even remotely in the vinicity she is in I'll have you dead do you fucking understand me?”.
“ Yes ”.
“Get your shit and get the fuck out”.
I let go of him and he scrambled out the door.
“ Tatiana ”.
“ Yes Mr Chase?”.
“ Go down to HR and find Daniel Shaw. Tell him I said This department doesn't need anyone. Unless I say or Tia says she needs new recruits no new employee is to be sent here”.
“ Okay “.
I looked at her .
“ You can't protect me from everyone and everything Dominic”
“ Yes the fuck I can ”. She got up in a huff and walked away heading straight to the elevator. When it opened detective Ryan was inside.
“ Ahh, just the person I need to see”.
“ Hello Detective”. We got in and headed up to my office.
“ What is it now?”.
He was looking at me. “ So umm Sam is in Solitary”.
She looked at me ,I just shrugged my shoulders. “ Well the guy that poisoned you Well let's just say Sam has become a bit protective of your wife Chase. Don't know how he found out but he did and he and a few others Beat the life out of the guy. He's still in the hospital, broken hand and fingers, Missing teeth and a cracked skull which wasn't Sam's doing. Let's just say that guy won't ever be right again ”.
All the while he was talking,he didn't take his eyes off of me neither did she.
“ Not my problem,it had nothing to do with me”. I said.
“ Alyssa was beaten up by a few female inmates, she's in the hospital. You wouldn't have anything to do with that would you? I know she called you multiple times”.
She looked at me ,shit there was anger in her eyes . I looked at him.
“ I'm already in the fucking doghouse,what are you doing trying to get her to bash my head in?. Yes she called but I blocked the number “.
I shook my head “ I want absolutely nothing to do with that girl”.
“ Detective Ryan, I want to see her and I'm bringing a friend”.what was she up to now.
“ Okay I'll take you to her”.
“ I'm going too”.
We left and headed to the hospital,on the way there she was on the phone texting someone. When we pulled up ,her friend Jess was waiting for her.
“ Hey babe , hey Chase “.
“ Hello Jess”.
When we headed up a police officer was standing by the door. He spoke to detective Ryan then we went in. Jess stayed outside.

I wasn't mad at him but if he thought I was then he wouldn't touch me. When we walked in she was just laying there watching TV.
“ My my, are you comfortable?”.
“ What the Fuck do you want you bitch?”.
“ I brought someone to see you “.
That's when Jess walked in.
“ Marissa,oh thank God. I thought you forgot me “. She was smiling and looking at me . I couldn't help but start laughing. Jess came over and hugged me.
“ I can't believe you were so gullible . You actually thought I was your friend “ Jess said laughing.
“ It was so much fun screwing with you. That night I left the spider in front of your door. While you were busy hiding in the room ,I set cameras all over and took your keys to get them copied”. Jess said
“ What ? You're friends?” ,she had a look of disbelief on her face .
“ Of course , we've been friends since we were sixteen. It was fun watching you squirm. While you were sleeping we were messing with your shit, Hair removal cream in your shampoo is a classic.” Jess said That's when she started screaming. The officer ran in but detective Ryan just Shook his head. I looked at her.
“ The shadows were the best part. While you thought you were alone we were still there. It was fun seeing you locked in that closet screaming and in despair with no hope. That's how I felt. Goodbye Alyssa this is the last time I'll ever see your face. Come on Jess let's get the girls and go for a drink “.
I walked out and left her screaming her head off. “ Jess you're an amazing friend “.
She held my hand “ No you are Tia and I would do anything for you. I will never be able to pay you back for what you've done for me”.
“ No you're my friend and I wanted what was best for all my friends. If I succeeded then I wanted all of you to be successful too. I've never said a word to anyone and I never will “
“ Thank you Tia. I'll see you tonight” , I gave her a hug and she left .
I felt him beside me. “ Talk babe ,what was she talking about?”.
I explained what we did to Alyssa. On the drive back to the office I had a question.
“ Dominic I don't mean to be nosy but I haven't heard anyone mention Allie's parents “.
“ She's an orphan,ask her ,she'll tell you”.
“ I don't want to ask , maybe it'll bring up bad memories for her”.
