***EPILOUGE***
Dominic
When I walked into the room, I stopped short and looked at her. My princess looked beautiful in her wedding dress. Her mother, Grandmothers and aunts beside her. Life has come full circle. Mia was twenty-eight and had met her soulmate. The only way to describe their relationship was mine and their mothers. She brought him to me first and asked my approval. The entire time Carlo stood Infront of me his eyes were on her. He looked at her the way I looked at Tia. The very next day he brought his parents to meet us. He said he wanted everyone to meet each other because he intended too spend the rest of his life with her. He was polite, respectful and responsible. His parents adored my daughter. They were neither rich nor poor, but they raised their son right. He held up to the grilling the boys gave him. Everyone approved of him and that was all I wanted for my princess.
Maya had gotten married a few months ago, her husband Ethan was made for her. A few months before Maya’s wedding Ethan spoke to Bennet and Allie about purchasing the other plot over and expanding the compound, he wanted to stay here where she would be close to her family. A few days before Ethan proposed he came to ask my permission to propose and asked about doing the same. All I could say was that I was grateful that some women were raising good men.
Three years ago, we lost my mother to a drunk driver. Dad was shattered and heartbroken. Two years ago, he suffered a major heart attack and didn’t make it. The kids didn’t take it well. Agela and the rest of the girls kept us together. We still had to live. The company was handed over to Mia and Richy and they were doing great. Gideon had Greystone and it was flourishing. The business the four boys started was flourishing as well.
Erics, Ben and Anthony had a hand in their parents business as well as Tia’s real estate company. All the kids did something useful and were successful.
All the boys were dating but didn’t have Marriage on their minds.
Sam and Amy were going strong. Sam hung up his gloves. He no longer took part in anything illegal. He confided in me on night while we were dinking that when Amy had given him the hall pass, he hated it. He hated that he did it, he hated doing it and didn’t want to anymore, he just wanted a simple life, and I understood.
Cassie and Jess were still together and happy. Tatiana and Ryan were great too, so were Mel and Mason. Leah is happy being single and she refuses to get into a relationship. We tried setting her up and almost got scalped.
Tia
When Dominic walked her down the Aisle, she looked so beautiful. We watched them say their vows they had written each other. When they were pronounced man and wife i felt a sense of relief.
When they were pronounced man and wife I felt a sense of relief. My daughter found her soulmate just as I had. Not once have I regretted submitting to him. We lost Elizibeth and Marcus, how I wished they could have been here to be a part of this and see the girls get married, but I know they would be watching, and they would be happy.
My boys were successful, all of the kids were. We all retired, we had more than enough money to continue our lifestyle. These business now belong to our kids and that’s the way it should be.
Dominic was still the man I fell in love with and married, even though we have gotten older the passion is still there. The compound was extended. We wanted to build a smaller place for us and give the boys the house but the refused. They said they weren’t ready to get married yet, so we stayed.
When we got to the reception hall everyone was already relaxing. When they shared their father daughter dance I knew it would get to him. I saw her cry like I knew she would. She danced with all four of her brothers. She would always be a little girl in their eyes. I had always envisioned the day Mia got married and today that day was here. after they left for their honeymoon the party continued. Guests started leaving one by one late into the evening.
We had come full circle. My sisters were happy they were loved and cared for. Our kids were happy, they knew the value of family and knew what true and unconditional love was. I was sitting at the table when e came and sat next to me and held my hand.
“I love Tia, until I take my last breath. Thank you for submitting to me” he said squeezing my hand.
“I love you too Dominic until my last breath. I’m happy I submitted to you”.
