When we rushed into the emergency room, we saw a few police officers Speaking to a doctor. I ran over to the desk and looked at the nurse. “Mia, Maya, Gideon and Richy Chase. Where are they?”, I saw the look she gave the doctor.
“Mrs. Chase, Mr. Chase please follow us this way” One of the police officers said. We followed them over to the other side of the room. “Where are our children?” Allie asked looking at them.
“Mrs. Chase Please calm down; they are alive but in serious condition” The doctor said, and I could feel my heart beating faster.
“Both Accidents happened at different places throughout the city. There were eyewitnesses but we didn’t find out much, just that a pickup Slammed into them. The drivers of the cars were drunk and seems to be Under the influence of drugs. They were arrested and in custody”, one of the officers said.
“Look we can deal with that Later we want to see our Kids”, Bennet said
“Okay, please follow me, Just the parents then the rest of the family members later”, the doctor said. We followed him. He led us up to the top floor to the VIP ward. When he opened the door, I felt my heart stop. All four of them.
“The impact was extremely severe; they are quite lucky. There are no brain injuries or spinal cord injuries, Multiple broken bones including fractured ribs both young men and both of the young ladies. Ms. Mia had some internal bleeding which we have stopped. Ms. Maya her Spleen was ruptured but in good condition now. Whiplash, severe neck injuries and some minor facial injuries and that is the extent of it”, the doctor said looking at us.
“It may seem Terrible at this moment looking at them all banged up like this, but I know what it feels like. I have kids and would be terrified to death if I were in your shoes. There are no life-threatening Injuries, but I will continue to monitor them” he said
Dominic
I couldn’t lose my shit now; Tia was barley keeping it together and it wouldn’t do for both of us to break.
“Either these kids saw that pickup heading towards them an did the best they could to avoid it or they’re extremely lucky” one of the officers said.
“What do you mean?”, Bennet asked
“We’ve seen may crashes and a full-on Collison like theirs always results in Death. No survivors. Mr. Chase her is my card. My name is Officer Bryant. I will head back to the precinct and start working on our Drivers. I will update as soon as I have any information.
“Thank you”. The door pushed open Zeke, Cyrus, Andrew and Chris rushed in. “Mom, what… Mia”
“I yelled at Them this morning. I told them to leave to never call me” Cyrus said and could hear the regret in his voice. He held onto his mother and cried.
“We’ll leave you alone. The rest of your family can come in, they should be awake in thirty minutes or so” the doctor said before walking out. The door opened and they all came in one by one. Mom and dad went over to their bed. I didn’t even realize Caius was here.
“I’m sorry. If I had monitored them properly this probably wouldn’t have happened”, he said quietly.
“This isn’t your fault. Someone set out to hurt them and I intend to fucking find out who it is”.
“Dad?”, I heard her voice before anyone else, I walked over to the bed and the minute she saw me she began crying. “It’s okay sweetie you’re okay”.
They started waking up one by one. Bennet went to check on Maya. “It hurts dad” she said through tears. “I know sweetie, you’ll be okay”.
“I’m sorry. I don’t want to leave”
“It’s okay. You don’t have to da anything you don’t want to do. Just focus on getting better.
“Russel was there, Uncle Dominic” Richy said. I looked over at the bed he was on. “I saw the car and swerved but not in time. I blacked out but came to, he was standing on the sidewalk smiling. I’m sorry”, he said quietly.
“Trent was there too” Gideon said.
“Okay. Put that all aside and get better first” Mom said “Oh lord Angela should be home at this time” she said.
“I’ll go get her grandma”, Eric said
“No” Tia said stopping him. “None of you are going anywhere. Not until I know what is happening. I don’t want any of you to get hurt”, Tia said
“Listen to your aunt. I’ll go get her” Sam said walking out.
We stayed there all day until it was six. Caius said he would get someone to watch over them. We informed the doctor, so he introduced the nurses. Other than them and family no one else was allowed to enter. Cyrus and Chris decided to stay. When we got home, I was so pissed I threw a glass into the wall, no one said anything. Leah walked away and came back with her laptop.
“We do this the way we always do as a family. Those little fuckers won’t get away with this. We’ll reel them in, and you and Bennet can do as you wish. Allie?” Leah said looking at her.
“I don’t fucking care what we have to do. Those fuckers though it was a good idea to hurt our babies. Make sure they suffer a hundred times worse than that”, Allie said.
“Good. The four of you relax and we’ll start with this. Zeke, Andrew get your laptops and follow me”, Leah said walking out. I felt someone touch me, I turned, and Mel was standing next to me. “I know you’re pissed but she’s not in a right headspace”, she said nodding towards Tia who I realized hadn’t said a word, she hadn’t even looked up.
“Take care of her. Trust us, the girls and I will handle it. I’ll check in on the kids”
“Thanks Mel”,
“Go on”.
I walked around the table and held her hand, she looked at me and I could see it in her eyes she looked lost. I took her back to our lace. The minute we got here she held onto me and cried. I held her and let her. As angry as I was, I know she was worried, they were her children after all, she was the one that brought them into this world. “We could have lost them Dominic. They could have died” she said through tears.
“I know love, but thankfully they’re still with us. They may hate me for this but I’m never letting them out of my sight ever again”.
“I’m sorry it’s just.. I think this is why they wanted to leave”,
“I think so too. But we’ll deal with it as a family like we always do. Now I need you to eat something and try to get some rest”.
“I Don’t think I can eat or sleep”.
“Try please”. I said as I wiped her tears away.
Leah
I was sitting in my office. Zeke and Andrew were on their laptops. These little fuckers were in for a world of hurt and if their parent were helping them then they would suffer too. “I Have Trent’s Info here. Seems like he’s been to the correctional facility multiple times.” Andrew said.
“Russel and Trent have been friends for a long time. He has a record. I guess his daddy being Senator helped get him off” Zeke said.
“Okay then look into the parents. Everyone has secrets no one is a saint”. I continued searching. “Can either of you see if the senator’s Mansion has cameras?”
“I can. I’ll check it out”, Andrew said typing away. “Got it. Looks like the senator is pissed. Russel is there too”, Andrew said turning the laptop towards us.
“Volume”. Zeke said, we watched and listened as the senator ranted.
SENATOR: Those fucking idiots. He had the nerve to warn me. That fucking idiot
RUSSEL: Dad let it be. They won’t say shit anymore seeing as that bitch is in the hospital.
SENATOR: Get Payton here
We saw Russel Walk out and few minutes later he came back in with a man who I guess was Payton.
SENATOR: Payton, I want you to et your guys and monitor the chase family. Whatever security cameras, their business, their associates everything and to make sure my fuck up of a son doesn’t get into trouble. Kill the four Kids
I Ran out with the boys behind me. Yelling for the others. I saw Dominic and Sam.
“GET TO THE HOSPITAL, HE’S SENDING PEOPLE AFTER THEM”.
Sam and Dominic Ran, Andrew and Zeke were on the phone. Tia and Bennet ran towards us.
“Leah what’s going one?”. Allie asked. “Mom the senator sent his men to kill Maya and the others”, Andrew said, and Bennet took off running so did Tia and Alie.
