We left him sitting there and went to our room, once there I began crying, Dominic just held me and let me cry. I felt like a failure. “I thought if we kept them close and gave them privacy and freedom it would mean something. Gideon said he felt like he couldn’t breathe because they were always being watched”.
“I know love. We’ll let them go. I thought holding on to them was doing the right thing but now I see I was wrong. We’ll let them make their own decisions”.
“I’m scared Dominic”.
“I am too love but we need to do this”.
The next morning when I woke up and looked at him, I knew he hadn’t slept. “Are we doing the right thing Dominic”?
“I don’t know”.
When I got downstairs, I made a cup of coffee, I saw Allie and Bennet making their way over to our place. “Morning sis, where’s your husband”.

“Thanks”, Bennet left us, I made a cup of coffee for Allie, and we sat down on the patio.
“Bennet said dad didn’t stop him and Dominic and he won’t either. He told them they had their freedom”.
“Dominic too. Hopefully we’re doing the right thing”.
Dominic and I were having breakfast when Cyrus and Zeke came down to breakfast. They didn’t say anything about last night and neither did we.
“Zeke slow down”. I shook my head at his eating manners. “Sorry mom can’t, Uncle Mason and I are going to get the Parts”. he said, stuffing food into his mouth.
“Oh dad, I forgot to mention. Grandpa said something is wrong with the boat engine, not sure what, but he said it keeps making a noise if you could call someone to check it out. Mom grandma Angela will be back tomorrow according to Grandma Liz. Dad the car is acting up again”. Cyrus said
“Again. No, how much money did you spend fixing that car Cyrus”?
“Mom, it wasn’t much”
“Just leave it. “We’ll go to the dealership later you can get another one”, Dominic said.
“Where’s Mia and Gideon”?
“Not sure”, At the same time, they walked into the kitchen. “You’re late” Zeke said.
They didn’t sit down, and I knew that came to a decision and I knew what the decision was. “Mia and I will be leaving. We already found an apartment for us”, Gideon said.
“Why are you leaving”? Cyrus asked looking at them and us.
“Because they’re adults and they have their freedom”, Dominic said. Zeke stood up and walked out without looking at them. Cyrus looked at them. “Congratulations”
“You’re welcome to go with them if you want Cyrus, we’re not stopping any of you” Dominic said, Cyrus stood up and slammed his plate down.
“Why would I leave. I’m not that desperate for fucking freedom. Go ahead and enjoy your freedom but you’ll realize that without this family name you’ll be no fucking body and if you’re ever in trouble and need help, then don’t call me.” he said walking out the kitchen. Jesus.
“It’s fine, we’ll handle them. Just let us know what you need. I have already sent money over to your accounts, your credit cards are still and will remain active. I need to go get someone to check that engine” Dominic said Kissing me and walking out.
“Mom...”
“It’s okay sweetie I understand. I moved out at eighteen also. I understand. Why don’t you two go and get all your stuff in order. I’ll get you your passport and other Documents”. I left them in the kitchen and went to Dominic’s office add got what they would need. They were adults and we knew this day would come and we couldn’t and wouldn’t try and stop them. On the way up I heard raised voices, so I stopped and listened.
“Really Gideon?”, That was Zeke
“Yes, Zeke Really. We need to do this. Look what happened when Mia and Maya were kidnapped. Richy and I already know what to do, we can’t depend on mom and dad to fix everything for us, we can’t expect everyone in this family to fix our problems and our mistakes. We need to learn to fix our problems ourselves. Two months tops and it’ll be handled and then we’ll come back”. Gideon said.
“Gideon are you sure?” Zeke asked
“Yes. Talk to that idiot Cyrus and make sure none of the adults know especially Aunt Leah and Uncle Sam”.
“Sure”
I walked back the way I came and headed down to Dominic’s office and sat there and began thinking over what I heard Gideon say. The door opened and Dominic came in. He pulled me up and sat down then pulling me back onto his lap.
I looked at him. He hasn’t changed the was still the same cray man I fell in love with, he was protective of me and the kids, there wasn’t a day when he didn’t tell me and show me how much he loves me. “You’re starting at me Love”, he said smiling.
“I know. I love you Dominic”.
“I love you too Tia”.
“Dominic they’re not leaving because they want to, they’re leaving because they’re about to do something”.
“What do you mean?”.
I told him what I overheard Gideon telling Zeke. “I guess they fee that they are Mature in order to feel like they need to fix their own problems. We’ll watch them”,
“I’m worried Dominic. They can get into serious trouble”.
“I know. “I’ll round up Everyone and we’ll monitor them”, he said squeezing my waist.

I knew I told mom it felt stifling here, but I needed to. That was the only way they would relent. The thing was I Spoke to grandpa, and he mentioned that he left dad and uncle Bennet leave home when they were eighteen in passing, so I knew if we did it right and acted it out dad would let us leave.
I told Maya, Richy and Mia and they agreed. That idiot Russel was after Mia and the asshole Trent kept Bugging Maya so we would handle it. Cyrus was an idiot; I didn’t expect him to react that way. I was in my room when the door opened, and Mia came in.
“What is it?”.
“I’m Heading out with Richy. We’re going to check out the apartment. Maya is waiting for you” she said quietly.
“Okay I’ll be down soon”.
I grabbed my laptop and CV. The thing was Russel Walters wasn’t just anyone. He walked around like he was a normal person. Through some digging I found out that our family had a retainer, Jameson, but he was about to retire, and his son would take his place. So, I retained his son. No one knows just me and Richy. I sent him after Russel, and we found out that Russel was actually Senator Colton Russel’s son.
When we found out we decided we needed to leave in order to handle him. We weren’t going to involve the entire Chase family. Richy and Maya agreed so that was what we intended to do.Along with freedom our parents gave us money. They were never shy about giving us money because we weren’t wasting money. A few years ago, Cyrus and Zeke got into investing and told us, so we all started investing.
We all had well over Ten Million in saving accounts all over. So, we didn’t really need our parent’s money. Neither I nor Mia wanted to become successful because of our parents and the Chase family name. We wanted to do it on our own. Mia and Richy would go get the apartment. Maya and I were going to get Jobs with the senator. We couldn’t risk asking Caius or he would rat us out
. Aunt Leah would go digging so we made sure to say everything in person ad not through texts or calls. I grabbed my backpack and cars keys and headed down. I was passing Dad’s office when the door opened, and Dad and mom came out. “Oh, Gideon here, your passport and other documents” Mom said handing me the binder. I took it from her. I knew I hurt her by saying that last night and I didn’t want to, but I had to.
“Thanks mom. Mia is out with Richy; they went to check the apartment out. I’m heading out with Maya. I’ll be back soon”.
“Sure. Be careful”, Mom said heading towards the kitchen. Dad didn’t say anything. As I was headed to the door I stopped. “Dad, you know I would never do anything to hurt our family, especially you and mom right?”.
“I know, Gideon and it’s okay” he said quietly.
“Okay”, I left and headed out Maya was already waiting. I got into the car, and she got in.
“Mia Just called they got the apartment also; Richy said a black car has been following them since they left”.
“Okay. We need to get Cyrus, Zeke, Andrew and Chris on our side for this. We’ll talk to them later”, I said starting the car and driving out. In the rearview mirror I saw dad standing on the patio looking. I know they’re suspicious, but I would wait. If it became too much then we would ask for help.
