The minute we walked into the room and they saw us they began crying. Dominic went to her ,she held onto her father and cried her life out. Maya was no better,she held onto Bennett and cried. My heart broke. I looked at her and shook my head at them. Meaning don't say anything.
I could see Dominic was about to lose it.
“ Dominic, Bennett. Go now”.
He looked at her. “ I'll be back soon Princess”. She nodded, Their eyes were swollen. Before he left he looked at me and I knew in my heart ,that the minute my husband walked out that door he was possibly going to become a murderer.
I sat beside her and brushed her hair away. I looked at Maya.
“ I know you're both hurt right now ,I saw it in your eyes . you wanted to ask your father's why he didn't protect you when they always had, why weren't they there for you. That is why I shook my head and told you no because they will feel that it's their fault it happened to you . when it happened to me I blamed Dominic. I blamed him, I asked him why ?, why didn't he protect me ,why wasn't he there for me and I knew that hurt him and I didn't want you to hurt your father that way. They're already losing it ,they're probably going to become murderers and they won't rest until they find the person that did this to you “.
“ it's going to be hard ,you're going to have nightmares, you're going to be traumatized you won't feel safe for a while but, you have all of us and we'll make sure you're okay and I can promise you both that whoever did this ,your father's, your brothers, your uncles they won't ever stop until they find the person responsible for it okay . Now you don't have to talk about anything, just stay here and try to get some rest. We'll be right here with you. I'm not leaving your side not until this is finished, okay .when you're ready to talk and you will talk ,we won't force you to say anything”.
They both nodded. After their grandparents checked them and assured them that they weren't blaming them they were just happy they were alive they left. Mel and the rest of the girls came in and checked up on them. They told them they'd bring their stuff that they needed.
Later that day we heard a knock on the door and saw one of the girls that was there when we found them push her head in. “ Sorry to disturb you Mrs Chase. We just wanted ....”
“ It's okay you can all come in”. I covered Mia properly,the door opened and Clayton and his friends walked in.
“ I know you,We have a class together “. Maya said.
“ Yes..we were heading back home when we found you both. Umm we came by to check on you also let you know that the either NYU college knows you were raped. That's all everyone kept talking about today. We didn't say anything,we didn't mention to anyone that we found you,so it had to be someone on campus”. One of the girls said.
“ Thank you for letting us know “. Allie said. She walked over and handed Maya a book. “ Umm, well I know you're dedicated to your studies. I'll take your notes for you”..
“ Thank you “.
“ We need to leave. We Don’t want anyone to know that we speak to you. Well Vanessa and her friends “.
“ Mrs Chase. Earlier today,I think it was , Vanessa and Johnathan’s Dad were at the College talking to the Dean”. The other girl said.
“ Thank you for letting us know “..
“ We'll keep listening. If we hear anything we'll let you know. We're sorry about what happened to you”. He said quietly.
After they left I texted Dominic to let him know what they said. “ You're going home
And staying home where your grandparents and cousins also the bodyguards can watch over you. We need to take care of this. Your aunts are waiting for us”. I said looking at them.
“ I know Detective Ryan hasn't asked us anything because he doesn't want to force us. mom, can you record it and then you can let him listen to it?”.
“ Of course sweetheart”.
“ It was maybe twenty minutes to ,or thirty minutes before lunch when my phone vibrated and I got a message from Maya telling me that she needed my help. She was in the washroom”.
“ No Mia , I didn't text you, you were the one that texted me, you said you needed my help to come to the washroom”. Maya said, looking at her.
I looked at Allie and she was already looking at me. Someone sent them both messages saying the other needed help knowing they would go to help. I didn't say anything .
“ Anyway I asked for an excuse and I went to the washroom. When I got there the hallways were empty. There wasn't really anyone outside during that hour. When I got to the washroom I called for Maya but there wasn't any answer . After she didn't answer, I tried calling her but her phone was off and as I was about to leave something came over my nose and then I probably passed out”.
“ The same thing happened to me. I went to the washroom looking for you but you weren't there but I made sure I checked all the stalls but one of the stalls was occupied. the last one all the way in the back and it was a girl in there . I knew it wasn't you so I left .my hand was already on the door handle about to open the door when something came over my nose and I passed out “.Maya said
So whoever did this they were meticulous, they planned it out, they didn't leave any Trace and they were good with computers and phones.
“When I woke up my hands and feet were tied and I was in a dark room where there was cloth over my mouth. I tried screaming but I couldn't . I couldn't see anything and I couldn't hear anything but I know I was alone and then then a light flicked on and I saw I was in like this small room and there was just like one bed there and then there was like I don't know if it's a guy or it sounded like a computerized voice I don't know if it's a woman or man but the computerized voice just told me that I wasn't getting out that I was going to learn a lesson then the lights went out and I heard what sounded like a door opening .H... he.... he just came in and he raped me he kept raping me over and over Mom while laughing and hitting me”.
“ That is what he did to me too “.Maya said on a sob.
“ We'll find him”.
“Was there anything that could give us a hint as to who he was ?”.
“No Aunt Tia there wasn't ,there wasn't any smell, sound or anything there was nothing”.
“ Okay we'll take care of it”.
By five that afternoon Mia ,Maya , Allie ,Mom ,Dad ,Marcus, Elizabeth ,Ben ,Anthony ,Eric, Amy ,Jess , and Jason were on the private plane headed back home. Jason already had orders to get more security guards for the place. Sam already sent more of his guys with Jason to make sure they were okay. They were all going to stay at the main house with their grandparents.
Before they left Sam told them that he was sorry that he didn't protect them. They told him that they don't blame him, it's not his fault and nobody expected that would happen. I heard them ask him to make sure they killed that person that hurt them . I also heard when he told them that he didn't have to do that , that their fathers would do that because even though he vowed to protect them, it is their father's duty to make sure the person that hurt them pays for hurting them in any way.
When they left we headed back to the apartment Gideon ,Cyrus, Zeke ,Andrew ,Richy and Chris were with us. We called Ryan and I played the recording of what Mia and Maya said happened to them for everyone to hear. Ryan said he would get on it. Zeke and Cyrus were messing with their business.
Caius had Vanessa,Sabrina, Cole and Jonathan's phone under surveillance. Four days passed and there was nothing. It seemed like they had nothing to do with it but I wasn't buying it. By day five, I sent Zeke and Cyrus back home with Allie , Dominic and Bennett. Sam and I stayed with Gideon and Richy. We would communicate over the phone. I was not leaving until I found the bastard that did this. If we found anything I would call them and they would return.
