Chapter 191
Chapter 191
Eve & Walter's POV
Eve’s part
Walter finally reached my side at the last moment before getting caught.
"Someone's trying to kill me!" Walter pushed me in front of him. "You gotta save me..."
"What happened?" I pretended to be confused.
Seeing me standing in front of him, Jackson was clearly furious.
"Get out of the way!"
I didn't step aside. Instead, I reached out to stop Jackson.
"Let's talk about this. What exactly happened? Did my teammate make you angry?"
Jackson gradually stopped and looked at me suspiciously. "Are you their leader?"
After hearing this, I didn't answer Jackson's question. Instead, I asked, "Anyway, don't make a move yet. Just tell me the situation."
"Alright, since you have doubts, I'll make sure he dies knowing why." Jackson said viciously. "This old dog just now..."
Before he could finish speaking, an iron box flew toward Jackson's face.
Jackson never expected I would suddenly attack. In that moment, he didn't have time to dodge and got hit in the nose.
After just a short stagger, Jackson quickly adjusted his stance.
"Damn it... you really are with them."
He'd just steadied himself and before he could assume a fighting position, I threw another punch into his face.
Jackson saw I punched like an amateur and thought this punch wouldn't have any real power, but he never expected to be knocked down directly.
I immediately kicked him hard on the chin, and Jackson couldn't get up from the ground.
Seeing my opponent had lost fighting ability, I slowly threw away the lock I was holding. Being hit in the temple by this thing, most people couldn't get up.
"Who cares what exactly happened?" I said coldly. "My teammate, you dare to touch him... if you're willing to gamble, you must accept defeat."
Just then, Bald Head and Blondie also arrived at this spot.
I felt a bit strange. Why was the other side's cabinet door also open?
Could it be they'd followed closely behind and cracked the code as well?
"Jackson!"
The two of them rushed forward hurriedly and found Jackson had already been knocked to the ground.
"Kill them..." Jackson said weakly. "If we don't act now, we'll be punished..."
"Damn it!" The two stood up and each took out a folding knife from their pockets.
Seeing this scene, Walter and I both took a step back.
Although I was quite ruthless, I still couldn't come up with any countermeasures facing two focused knife-wielding thugs.
"Hey! Beta Dog!" I gritted my teeth and shouted loudly. "Players are fighting privately. Don't you care?"
After a few seconds, Beta Dog's weak voice came from far away. "Of course I have to! But please wait a moment, everyone. I'm packing up and will be back later."
"Huh..." The bald thug slowly raised the knife. "These zodiac masks already hope we'll kill each other in games. How could they stop us?"
My expression was extremely grim. At present, I hadn't considered that players killing each other was also tacitly permitted by the "rules."
Previously, we'd had a fierce fight with Taylor Ford at Beta Bull's playground, and Beta Bull was the last to step in and stop it.
It seemed the situation this time would only be worse than back then.
"Walter... run with Clara." I whispered. "There was a window in the room I was in just now. Break the window and run."
"And what about you?" Walter asked somewhat panicked.
"I'll figure out a way to deal with them."
"You..." Walter's eyes rolled and he quickly made up his mind. "Then be careful yourself!"
......
Walter's Part
I immediately turned around, took Clara's hand and rushed into the room, pulled Amy away from the seat, then lifted the chair and broke the window.
"Hurry up!" I shouted at Clara. "Those people are fugitives. They really can kill!"
Amy, standing by, looked at the two of us with great interest, and a smile curled up at the corner of her mouth.
"No, I can't leave." Clara said. "Uncle, please don't touch me."
"What the hell is it now?" I felt the girl in front of me was just a bit too stubborn. "You're running for your life now! What's wrong if I touch you?"
"I'm not leaving. I'm not leaving either." Clara said. "If you want to run for your life, do it yourself."
With that, she picked up a slender piece of glass from the ground, held it in reverse grip, and turned to walk toward the door.
"Are you crazy?" I was almost driven mad. I stepped forward and grabbed Clara's wrist. "What are you doing with this crappy thing? They have knives!"
"Please don't touch me." A hint of coldness appeared in Clara's eyes. "To survive in a place like this, just running around won't help. I'll go and fight them to the death."
Amy listened to my conversation with Clara and couldn't help but beam with joy.
"You guys are really so interesting..." She covered her mouth and smiled inappropriately.
Clara and I glanced at her at the same time, but neither of us replied.
I continued to persuade Clara. "Aren't you the kind of person who avoids trouble right now?"
Clara thought carefully for a while. "If it's just Eve, her chance of death is indeed very high. But if I join the battle with a weapon, the survival chances of both of us will increase exponentially."
"What the hell..." I was completely confused. "You think just picking up a piece of glass shards will make it grow exponentially?"
Amy was so amused she burst out laughing from the side.
"What the hell are you laughing at?" Clara asked.
"I..." Amy walked up to Clara. "Could you tell me how you're going to deal with those two people?"
"I don't know either." Clara looked at the glass shards in her hand. "If I'm lucky, I can stab someone's throat with this thing."
Amy slowly reached out her hand, held Clara's hand, and said word by word, "Sister, you need to understand the 'logical relationship' in it."
"Logical relationship?" Clara was somewhat puzzled.
"Exactly, just as you yourself said..." Amy smiled and said to Clara. "It's precisely because of your joining that the survival chances of you and Eve have increased. So if you show up, you will surely kill one of them. And if you want to kill one of them, you must pierce his throat with glass. All of this is predestined, so don't say anything like 'good luck.'"
"What do you mean...?" Clara still didn't understand. "Lady, aren't you on the same side as the other team?"
"I'm on the verge of death. Do I still care who my teammates are?" Amy slowly let go of Clara's hand. "Go ahead. A life is waiting for you to take."
