255. Milton

255. Milton
Eluvene pulled her head back. Her gaze searched his. “You already know who I am.”
Milton shook his head. “I know who the Dark Mage is, but I am yet to meet the woman.”
A frown appeared between her brows. “I don’t know what you mean by that.”
He cupped her cheek and stroked it with his thumb. “For the time we will be here, I want us to be only Milton and Eluvene. Just two normal people who are meeting for the first time.”
“This is a waste of time,” she protested.
“Humor me.”
Milton could see in her eyes that she didn’t like his proposition. She didn’t gave him a direct reply, but instead asked, “What did the tower show you?”
Eluvene had been right about the tower. It was or had been a place of nightmares but the one he saw left cracks in his soul.
“Something so horrible, so terrifying, I won’t ever forget. I will probably dream of it for a long time,” he replies truthfully.
They stared at each other for a long time, until Eluvene finally said, “Fine.”
Milton tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear.
They met as enemies, and now they needed to learn how to trust each other. Especially him, since he had a hard time trusting her, especially after torturing him. He didn’t hold it against her, but it wasn’t something he could forget easily.
“We will take things slow.”
“Slow?” she asked.
“There’s no need to rush things,” he tried to make her understand.
She straddled his lap. She was wearing a long tunic, which hiked up, baring her legs to him; her heat was maddening. He didn’t think he would survive it. Trying to hold back his desire for her was a challenge. It was more than that. It was impossible.
His Fire would burn him and her before the end of the day. He wanted to be inside her, to feel her maddening heat.
He couldn’t, wouldn’t push her for more than she was willing to give, no matter how hard it was to hold back.
“In case you haven’t noticed, you stupid wizard, we are in the middle of a war. We don’t have time for slow.”
He couldn’t agree more, but he wanted to give her time, for what he wasn’t sure, but he didn’t want her to feel pressured or to regret their time together.
His fingers laced through her hair. “Are you sure about this, Eluvene? Are you sure you want to be with me? Not as friends, not as enemies, but as lovers.”
She looked away as she said, “I wanted you from the moment I met you. You are the one who pushed me away.”
Milton grabbed her chin with his thumb and forefinger and made her look at him. “I think my heart wanted you from the beginning, but I needed time to accept you.”
“Does I being a Dark Mage repulse you that much?”
His heart thundered in his chest. For her to understand everything, he needed to tell her about Elen, but talking about the woman he thought he would share his life with the one who was his future, was hard.
“Years ago, I made a promise at a grave, which I now see was said in a moment of poor grief,” he fully opened his heart to her.
Eluvene’s expression turned serious. “What kind of a promise?”
“To never be with another woman.”
Eluvene blinked. “Why would you make such a promise?”
He took her right hand into his and brought it to his mouth, and gently placed a kiss in the middle of her palm. “Before I knew you existed, I met and fell in love with a warrior woman. Her name was Elen.”
Eluvene’s expression turned sour. “You said her name several times.”
“Elen was my first love. I thought she would be my wife, but she died during the war.”
“Do you wish she were still alive?”
Milton planted another kiss on her palm. It’s calmed him. “Elen was a good woman. She didn’t deserve to die.”
“You didn’t answer my question,” she pointed out.
“You won’t like my reply.”
“I deserve an honest answer.”
Milton let out a long breath. “I wish she were still alive, but not because I want to be with her. The one I want is you. Only you.”
“You say this now, but you truly believe it, Milton?”
His lips parted. She had finally said his name.
“So you do know my name,” he said, making her huff.
“We were talking about Elen,” she reminded him.
“We were,” he agreed. “Do you want to ask me anything?”
“You said that you made a promise to Elen. What will happen when you start regretting breaking it?”
“That will never happen,” he promised.
“How can you be so sure?”
“Being without you is not an option.”
“Prove to me that you only want me,” she dared him.
He fisted her hair and brought her sweet mouth close to his lips. “You don’t know what you are asking for.”
She rocked her hips, and the movement made the tunic to inch up revealing her bare cunt to him.
A groan of appeciacion left him. “After we wash ourselves, you will tell me exactly what you want me to do to you.”
She wasted no time telling him exactly what she wanted. “I want you to fuck me hard.”

I will update in 3-4 days.
