As soon as Freya walked in, she could tell from Phoenix and Hermione's faces that they weren't happy, but she still put on an innocent act and greeted them with a smile: "Did you need to see me about something?"
Hermione didn't beat around the bush and got straight to the point: "Freya, we know about you and Jeffrey getting married, and we also know that Kaida is your daughter."
The smile on Freya's face didn't change, but a hint of smugness flashed in her eyes. Then she pretended to look surprised: "Hermione, you know everything? Actually, I wanted to tell you a long time ago, but Jeffrey wouldn't let me. He was afraid you'd be angry."

Phoenix watched her smooth talk and sneered inwardly: "Freya, don't try to play the emotion card with us. We know exactly what you're up to."

"I'm already a daughter-in-law of the Adams family now, and Kaida is Adams family blood. Whether you accept it or not, you have to accept it!"
Hermione and Phoenix's faces turned extremely ugly. They didn't expect Freya to be so bold as to threaten them.

As Hermione and Freya were at a standstill, the private room door opened, and Wesley and Jeffrey walked in.
It turned out Wesley had arrived early and had been hiding in the next room, hearing their entire conversation clearly.

Jeffrey looked at Freya, feeling somewhat displeased. He hadn't expected Freya to threaten his family so directly - she had completely lost control.
But then he thought about it - Freya was the woman he'd loved for so many years, and he had his daughter Kaida. He couldn't just give up like this.
He walked to Freya's side and gently patted her shoulder: "Freya, don't worry. I'll talk to them properly."
Wesley looked at Jeffrey, his tone calm: "Jeffrey, you heard everything. Freya is so calculating - do you still want to be with her?"
Jeffrey took a deep breath, his eyes determined: "Grandfather, I know what Freya said today was a bit much, but she just wants to be with me so badly."
"After all these years together, and with Kaida, I can't give her up. I still want to live a good life with her."
Wesley nodded, as if he had expected Jeffrey to say this.
Actually, he knew in his heart that after Freya and Jeffrey had hidden for so long, the only reason Freya dared to threaten Hermione so boldly was because of Ophelia's lawsuit.
With Jeffrey's current abilities, he couldn't stand up to Ophelia at all. Freya wanted the Adams family's protection, or else she'd eventually be taken down by Ophelia's lawsuit.
"Fine, since you insist on being with her, I won't stop you," Wesley spoke up. "The Adams family can help handle Ophelia's defamation lawsuit against Freya so she doesn't have to worry anymore."
"But before the Adams Group stabilizes, Freya cannot appear in public, cannot publicly reveal your marriage, and cannot interfere with Adams Group business."
"I'll have a lawyer prepare an agreement for you both to sign. If it's violated, Freya must give up all assets and custody of Kaida, and compensate the Adams Group for losses."
Freya's heart leaped with joy - the Adams family's protection was exactly what she wanted. She quickly nodded: "I agree! As long as I can be with Jeffrey, I'll agree to anything."
But then she thought again and added, "However, I have one condition. The agreement must include that after the Adams Group goes public, you must publicly acknowledge my marriage to Jeffrey. I don't want to keep sneaking around."

The Adams Group had just received investment and was in a critical period of stable development - nothing could go wrong. He could only stabilize Freya for now.
"Fine, I agree." Wesley finally nodded. "Also, you and Kaida will move into the Adams Mansion so we can take care of Kaida more easily."
A triumphant smile appeared on Freya's face as she quickly agreed: "Thank you, Grandpa. I'll definitely take good care of Kaida and be good to you all."
Jeffrey watched all this and felt relieved. He knew his family had basically accepted his relationship with Freya.

Meanwhile, Ainsley looked at the news on her phone about Ophelia and William announcing their relationship, along with news about the resort about to open. She was so angry that she threw her phone on the ground.
"Why? Why does Ophelia get to be so proud?" Ainsley sat on the sofa, her face dark, her eyes full of jealousy.
