Chapter 36
Chapter 36
Willa
My heart is racing so fast and hard that I can’t catch my breath. The feel of his fingers tightening in my hair makes my legs shake a little. I hate how my body gives in to these guys so easily. Not that I ever had a chance against them. My parents raised me to be strong but they never could have prepared me for this. The intensity of these guys is so overwhelming that I don’t know what to do when I’m around them other than give in.
It’s pathetic I know. I should fight harder…I know that too, but with Sebastian’s tall form behind me dwarfing me in the mirror and the way he’s touching me. I’m weak.
“You look delicious in this dress but-“ His fingers release my hair and move down to the back of my neck.
His other hand moves slowly up my bare arm until his fingers brush against the fabric on my shoulder. One tug and the dress falls, pooling at my feet. I suck in a breath when the cold air hits me and goosebumps break out all over me.
“What are you doing?” I ask with a breathy whisper.
It’s a stupid question given the position we’re in. His intentions are clear.
“Looking at you. All of you.” He says as he moves his hand down my bare arm again.
The warmth of him makes me shiver and I lean against him wanting more. He slides his fingers through mine for a quick moment before he slides them over to my stomach. The woman who had been helping me with the dresses had given me this one-piece bra slash bodysuit thing to wear underneath. It's made of a delicate lace that is far too pretty.
“Everyone is right outside…we shouldn’t…” My eyes fall shut and my words break off when he uses the hand he had on my neck to brush my hair to one side leaving my neck exposed. “Seb-“
“Stop talking.” He says with a bit of bite to his voice.
Then he leans in and places the gentlest of kisses on the side of my neck. I gasp at the feeling. It feels like tiny bolts shoot from that one spot and down my body.
He takes a deep breath in. “Fuck angel you smell amazing.”
I open my mouth to say something smart or sarcastic, but he kisses my neck again and wraps his arm completely around me.
“You have no idea what I want to do to you, but I don’t want those assholes to hear the sounds you’ll make for me.” He breathes in again and brushes his nose along my neck. “You look stunning in that dress, but I’m buying the others too. Just in case.”
A laugh escapes me. “For all the other weddings I’ll be having?”
He looks at me through the mirror and smirks. “Of course. Do you think Maxim is the only one who gets to marry you? You were my fiancee.”
“I can’t marry all of you. There are laws you know.” I remind him.
“I’m sure we can buy of a judge.” He stands forcing my fingers out of his hair and I can’t help but pout. “Now get dressed. We have a wedding to get to. I’ll let Maxim have you tonight since you’ll be his wife, but tomorrow you’ll be in my bed. Got it?”
That sass I’d been hoping for comes back and I raise a brow at him. “You guys know that I don’t have to do anything you say right? I can make my own choices.”
Another smirk. “Of course angel, but I will get you there. By force if I have to.” Then he releases me with a smack to my ass.
Then he disappears leaving me flushed and annoyed. Stupid men.
I rush to get dressed ready to scowl and growl at the guys all the way home. Except when I step out of the dressing room and see all the guys smiling or attempting to smile as they talk among themselves all my anger fades. Even Luke looks less grouchy than usual. It’s hard to believe by looking at them that we haven’t known them long. It’s like we’ve all fallen into place as if we were always meant to be together.
It’s annoyingly sweet.
“Alright boys let’s go. I’m hungry.” I blurt out and almost in unison, they all turn their heads to look at me.
I have to bite back a laugh at how in sync they were at the sound of my voice.
Maxim jumps up and steps halfway up to the stage I’m on and kneels awkwardly in front of me. “I can not bear my bride being hungry on her special day. What would please you?”
He’s so extra it's almost too much, but oddly endearing too.
“Nachos!” I say happily.
He laughs. “Of course my love.” Then he’s on his feet wrapping his arms around my legs and throwing me over his shoulder.
“Maxim!” I shout but he just laughs and carries me to the exit.
Maxim keeps his promise to feed me. He takes us to a Mexican restaurant near the bridal shop…much to Lan’s displeasure. Our resident genius thought it was a mistake to be out in the open but Maxim wasn’t having it. He reminded him that if they couldn’t protect me long enough to get a plate of nachos then they aren’t worthy of me.
He’s not wrong.
We spend just enough time there for me to be bursting from eating too much before I’m dragged out. By the time we get back to the bunker, I have two hours to get ready before we head for the courthouse. Nowhere near long enough, but thankfully I’ve never been big on overdoing it when it comes to beauty. Not that I don’t enjoy getting dolled up, but I have always preferred a minimal style. Well, more like my face just didn’t look right when I put too much product on it. So some blush and winged liner are my go-to look. Today though I decide to go with a smokey eye and instead of letting my long hair lay flat down my back I looked up a YouTube video for wedding hair looks.
I decide on a loose sort of messy braid look. The guys have been cast out of my room for this part and instead, I have my mom on video chat as I slip my dress on and take a look in my bathroom mirror.
Emotion makes my eyes burn when I see myself fully done. I’m not the only one because I hear a sniffle come from my phone.
“You look so beautiful,” Mom says. “Willa. I’m so sorry. About everything.”
“I know Mom.”
“Your dads and I have tried so hard to be good parents to you guys, but we have screwed up plenty over the years. I knew it was a stupid thing to agree to at the time, and I just forgot about it but I should have refused the second it was offered to us. I’m so sorry.” Mom sounds even more upset now and I hate it.
“You have been an amazing mom. This doesn’t change that. I think I was more upset that you had even agreed to it at all. It doesn’t seem like something you would do, so it had a lot to do with shock.”
She sighs. “I wasn’t thinking right at the time. But that is absolutely no excuse.” There is a moment of silence. “So what’s really going on with the guys?”
My face flames. It seems extremely weird to tell my mom about this.
“It’s complicated,” I say and she laughs.
“Yeah, that sounds about right. Just don’t let those boys push you around. They tend to do that sometimes. You’re in charge Willa, make sure they know it.” She gives me a knowing smile and I can’t help but laugh.
“I’ll try my best Mom.”
“Good. Now hurry up and get to the courthouse so we can watch our little girl get married.”
“Okay, see you soon Mom.” We wave to each other and I end the call.
I head out into my room, grabbing my clutch and slipping my phone inside.
“Hey guys are you-“ I choke on my words when I step into the main room and see the men waiting for me. “Holy shit.”
Luke snorts. “Very eloquent baby girl.”
His words don’t register because I’m too busy drooling over the mouth-watering men standing only a couple of feet away. All of them are wearing navy blue suits with matching ties and everything. Like a real groom's party, and it doesn’t escape my attention that Maxim decided to stick with the theme instead of trying to stand out.
“Ready?” Maxim asks as he steps forward and holds his arm out for me to take.
I smile. “I am. Let’s do this!”
