Chapter 89 Victoria, You Have Feelings for Me
Chapter 89 Victoria, You Have Feelings for Me
Adrian's lips curved into a grin. "Hey, Victoria, what's got you blushing? You checking me out?"
Victoria shot back, "Oh, please! Don't flatter yourself!" She lifted her head, trying to hide her embarrassment.
Adrian persisted, "Come on, I caught you red-handed!" He teased, "Feel free to look all you want, nothing to hide here."
Suddenly, Adrian playfully yanked open his robe, revealing his chiseled body with confidence.
His chest was broad, his abs sculpted, and his manhood proudly on display.
Victoria blushed furiously and covered her face. "You're such a creep!"
Adrian chuckled, "A creep? Is that a compliment, Victoria?" He teased, moving closer, his outline still visible under the robe.
Meanwhile, Frank finished his massage and got off the bed. Observing Adrian and Victoria's banter, he couldn't resist a sarcastic remark, "Looks like there's some drama brewing between Mr. Cross and Miss Chase!"
Feeling rejuvenated, Frank hummed a tune as he confidently opened the glass door to the terrace, revealing a sprawling hot spring outside.
Victoria's expression changed instantly. She sat up, adjusted her robe, and pushed Adrian away.
"Adrian, cut it out! Give me some space!"
Adrian, unfazed, shrugged. "Alright, no more teasing. Let's go relax in the hot spring."
In the misty hot spring, Frank submerged himself, savoring the tranquility, his belly floating on the water's surface.
Adrian and Victoria eventually joined him by the pool.
Adrian was the first to discard his robe, unveiling his toned physique - a sculpted chest, defined abs, and a bronzed skin tone glistening in the steam.
He eased into the hot spring, closing his eyes, his long lashes fluttering.
His persistent erection made him uncomfortable. He took deep breaths, hoping it would subside naturally.
Victoria shed her robe and joined the water, positioning herself across from Adrian, purposefully avoiding eye contact.
Despite her efforts to appear composed, her desire hadn't waned; a subtle itch lingered in her core. She clenched her jaw, masking the inner turmoil.
After a while in the hot spring, the trio exited Gaya Music Hall together.
"Mr. Beckett, let's not forget our collaboration agreement."
"I'll have my assistant send you the specifics. And remember, Genesis Corporation can't be involved in the bidding if we collaborate!"
Adrian opened the car door, assuring, "You can count on me, Mr. Beckett."
Frank hopped into the car.
"Get in, I'll give you a lift," Adrian offered to Victoria.
"I'll grab a cab," Victoria replied, feeling uneasy around Adrian in that moment.
"It's late, you've had a few drinks, don't turn me down."
"Okay."
Frank's car led the way, with Adrian's following closely behind.
The car exuded a cozy intimacy, filled with Adrian's subtle masculine scent.
Victoria's heart raced, her legs tensing involuntarily, trying to ignore her inner restlessness.
Adrian noticed Victoria's unease and playfully remarked, "Victoria, why the flushed face again?"
"I've been drinking, what do you expect?" Victoria shot back.
Adrian leaned in mischievously, "I think you've got a soft spot for me."
"No way!" Victoria turned to glare, her tone resolute.
"I don't buy it." Adrian swiftly made a move, lifting her skirt and touching her intimately.
She was still moist, warm, and slippery.
Victoria instinctively squeezed her legs together, pushing back firmly, "Adrian, you've crossed a line! Stop it!"
Adrian chuckled, his fingers still tingling with desire.
He held up his hand, teasing, "No feelings for me? Then what's this, Victoria? Why not just admit it?"
"You..." Victoria blushed furiously, clenching her teeth, "You're shameless!"
Before Adrian could continue needling her, Frank's car abruptly slammed on the brakes.
The car behind them failed to react in time, resulting in a rear-end collision.
Both of them jolted forward, hitting the back of their seats.
"What's going on?" Victoria exclaimed.
"I have no idea!"
They swiftly rolled down the window and peered ahead.
A young girl covered in blood lay in the middle of the road, being pursued menacingly by a group of men wielding sticks.
Frank was the first to exit the car and approached her, "Are you alright?"
She looked up, fear in her eyes, shaking her head, "N-no."
"You..." Frank recognized her face but couldn't place it.
Victoria also stepped out of the car, inquiring about the situation.
"Mr. Beckett, what's happening? Can we help?"
Victoria immediately recognized her as the piano-playing waitress from Gaya Music Hall.
"Cheryl, is that you?" Victoria crouched down, speaking gently.
"Yeah."
Cheryl raised her head, her bloodied face even paler, fear etched in her eyes.
"Cheryl?" Frank smacked his forehead, recalling, "Cheryl, the waitress who played the piano in secret!"
A smile spread across his round face, his voice softening, "How did you end up like this? Who are those people?"
Before he could finish, the men caught up, and their leader, a bald man, spat and pointed menacingly at Cheryl, "You tramp, trying to flee after owing our boss money? I'll teach you a lesson today!"
Trembling with fear, Cheryl instinctively sought refuge behind Frank.
Frank's face darkened, ignoring the thugs and signaling to his driver.
The driver, tall and imposing, stepped forward, murmuring something that instantly shifted the men's expressions from hostility to fear. Without a word, they slunk away.
Turning to Cheryl with compassion, Frank asked, "Cheryl, do you need to go to the hospital?"
Cheryl shook her head timidly, her voice barely above a whisper, "N-no, thank you."
"That won't do, you're bleeding a lot." Frank's gaze lingered on her delicate neck and slender shoulders.
"It's too risky for a young woman like you out here." He paused, "How about this, come home with me. No one will dare to bother you again."
Cheryl looked up, disbelief in her teary eyes, "R-really?"
"Absolutely." Frank's smile grew warmer.
He extended his hand slowly towards Cheryl, offering, "I have plenty of space at home. Make yourself at home, it's yours too."
Cheryl hesitated, her eyes flickering with uncertainty as she glanced past Frank to lock eyes with Victoria.
Victoria's expression remained steady, subtly nodding as their eyes connected.
After a deep breath, Cheryl placed her cold hand in Frank's outstretched palm.
Frank gripped her hand firmly, helping her up and guiding her into his car.
As Cheryl settled into the luxurious vehicle, she cast one last glance back at Victoria.
Victoria nodded subtly, offering a reassuring smile.
She watched as Frank's car drove away, a smile tugging at her lips.
Despite the day's challenges, it was all worth it. The final piece had been successfully placed next to Frank!
