Chapter 50 Chapter 58

Chapter 50 Chapter 58
ADRIANA'S POV
"You want to learn how to fight?" Daciana brows were drawn together, the confusion clearly written on her face.
"Yes," I nodded with all seriousness. Being unable to defend myself was my biggest ick right now. I thought through it during breakfast, if I wanted to last more than two days out in the world, then I needed to know I could defend myself. I couldn't even escape Xander's pack in my current state. It was something that was a little hard for me to accept, but I chose to be truthful and help myself rather than being an oblivious fool.
"Have you ever trained before?" Daciana sat up, her eyes taking me in with a different type of scrutiny. Gone was the mother checking for injuries on her child and in her place was a general, checking to see how ready her army was. She nodded after a few seconds, her bottom lips disappearing into her mouth. A thoughtful look crossing her features. "We would first have to get you in shape." She started with.
I looked down at my arms and legs, with my brows raised get out of shape so I had no idea what she meant by that.
"Okay...?" I drawled, still checking out my body.

Noticing that, Daciana chuckled with a head shake. "Not physical appearance, love, tolerance." She said, nodding to herself. I didn't know the point of what she just said so I only shrugged. As long as she was going to help me, then she could use whatever confusing statements.
"p'll have to speak with the gamma first, he is our best warrior and he'll give me tips on how to get started." She clapped after she said that. Then she looked up and met my gaze, a smile resting on her lips. "It's going to be great."
I found myself smiling back, the guilt easing from my chest at the betrayal. She didn't know she was helping me perfect my escape plan and I felt bad for it, but that didn't mean I wouldn't go through with it. It was my bet right now. I would at least survive on my own with a few self defense lessons. Something my father let me have, maybe he thought a day like this would come where I would decide to leave and never turn back. He was right though, I didn't see anything or anyone that would stop me from doing what I wanted. The
Luu.
And his annoyance would affect me greatly, something told me even if I crawled under a rock, he would find me. Hiding was going to be the next hardest part after leaving this place. I am ready to put in the work and get the hell out.
It was better for me to try and fail than not try and be left with 'what ifs' And what could have been.
"We need to get you a lot of sport's gear if you're going to train to get rid of that old man." I nodded at Daciana, barely containing my wide smile at her words. This was really happening.
I could almost reach out and touch it. I couldn't wait.
