At this point, he couldn’t hide it anymore. He couldn’t take the consequences. His voice fell.
It was quiet in the hall, with faint breathing sounds.
Devona’s face changed dramatically, and her finger trembled as she pointed at him.
“Are you an idiot? Haven’t we signed the contract yet?”
Jeremiah whispered, “Grandma, I lied to you, the contract was signed a long time ago.”
Devona’s lips trembled a little, Jeremiah’s stupidity really couldn’t be held back.
“Get lost! Go explain to those shareholders yourself.” Devona kicked the ball right back, “If you can’t explain it clear- ly, just step down as president and start from the bottom.”
“Grandma…” Jeremiah couldn’t believe it. Did he really have to start from the bottom?
No, he couldn’t stand those days.
“Hmph!” Devona said sharply, “Jeremiah, don’t act innocent in front of me. I could tell right away you were up to something. You brought this on yourself.”
“You lost a billion in one go, so you go explain it to the shareholders yourself, or have your dad make up the money.”
Jeremiah looked as pale as death, staring at Devona’s cold face. He just felt that Devona was way too heartless.
“Grandma, I was wrong, I know I was wrong, please, help me this time.”
Devona looked at him coldly: “Idiot, this is an obvious contract trap and you can’t even see it. Jeremiah, only when brothers and sisters work together can the family thrive. When a family falls, it usually starts from within.”
“Your family had a drama queen, your whole family was destined to have nothing to do with the heir, Sera, I would keep by my side, you guys better not even think about bullying her again.”
Jeremiah looked totally defeated. How was he supposed to fix this?
“You dare say Tehila didn’t have a hand in this? You’re willing to be her knife, turn it on your own little sister, mess up the family, mess up your luck.”
Didn’t Tehila like to talk about luck a lot?
Let her have a taste of backlash herself.
Seryna looked at Devona excitedly, Devona wasn’t guilty–she was her idol, and she lived so clearly.
Devona was so cool!

Before she left, the Willard family had to have a real heir to inherit the whole Willard family and make the Willard family better and better!
“Jeremiah, you go back first. If you wanted to be the heir, you had to handle something this big on your own.”
Jeremiah felt weak all over, and this was the first time he had run into something like this.
Devona couldn’t help but remind him, “Jeremiah, your elite team was all useless.”
Jeremiah shuddered. Yeah, they were all useless. They didn’t look at the contract carefully, and that’s how he caused a loss of a billion.
Devona was testing him, he couldn’t lose.
“Grandma, I would definitely give you a satisfying answer.”
Jeremiah stood up straight and looked at Seryna. She was wearing a white suit, her hair tied in a ponytail, and her light makeup made her look even prettier. Devona didn’t really like the people from the Willard family, but Devona was living with Seryna, and that made him really jealous.
But her eyes were clear and cold.
He gave Seryna a cold glance.
Seryna was cold to him, no emotion.
She picked up the milk on the table, took a sip, and shut out Jeremiah’s murderous glare.
She and Jeremiah, Kade, Erik, in their past life and this life, never got the chance to be siblings.
“Grandma, Seryna just came back and you gave her the company. I’m afraid the Willard family wouldn’t accept it.”
“Oh! Who’s not convinced?” Devona asked with a stern face.
Jeremiah choked. He was the first one to disagree, but he couldn’t say anything.
Devona looked at him and couldn’t say a word, her face turning red as she held it in.
Heh–it was really tough for him, he held it in and felt pretty uncomfortable.
“Jeremiah, go back. If you didn’t agree, just show you’re better than Sera.”
Jeremiah knew Devona was always fair, but Seryna was someone who never went to school, so what could she do to run a company?
“Grandma, she didn’t even go to school. How could she run a company?”
Seryna looked at him with a half–smile and said, “Jeremiah, how did you know I never went to school?”
