A trace of bitterness flashed in Seryna’s eyes. Rashad was really selfish. Only people who were useful to him were important in his mind.
What he said before was just to brush her off, just an empty promise.
At this point, Rashad wouldn’t give her the company. He had to take care of Tehila and Jeremiah’s feelings.
Erik and Kade, the two brothers, both had their own businesses.
But the Willard family’s conflict hadn’t started yet.
“Grandma, Dad said it, but he didn’t give it to me.”
Devona already knew Rashad was selfish. She patted her hand kindly and said, “Grandma checked your studies, you’re really outstanding. So, you haven’t graduated from grad school yet, but you’re already good at design. I have a jewelry company under my name, and it’s been losing money for three years in a row. I’ll give you the jewelry compa- ny to practice with. If the company doesn’t lose money by the end of the year, I’ll give it to you. What do you think?”
Seryna was surprised, Grandma gave her the company so soon?
In her last life, until she died, she never spent the Willard family’s money. Sure enough, living a different way, she
would have lived well.
“Thank you, Grandma, I wouldn’t let you down.”
“Well! What you needed now was experience. Turn this company around. Don’t let Grandma down.”
Devona spoke earnestly.
She had other plans later.
Seryna understood what the old lady meant.
She smiled a little. Grandma really cared about her, so of course she wouldn’t let Grandma down.
Rashad and his group couldn’t stop her from moving forward in this life.
“Grandma, I would try my best, I sent you to rest.”
Seryna helped her grandma stand up. She didn’t promise her anything. Only strength and results could convince ev-
eryone.
If Tehila knew her grandma gave her a company that was losing money, she would probably be really happy and let her guard down, and that was her chance.

Jewelry company, she was pretty confident, and if she remembered right, the gold price would go crazy overnight by the end of the year.
After Seryna sent Devona to rest, she went back to her room on the second floor and felt really tired.
High heels, she started learning to wear them a month ago, still wasn’t used to them, and her feet hurt a lot.
She lay in bed resting, and texted Cal at the same time.
“Cal, I got home safe.”
They replied quickly over there.
Cal: “Sera, go to bed early. Tomorrow morning at nine, I’ll pick you up to go to the hospital.”
Seryna: “Cal, I was putting on medicine at home, no need to go to the hospital, really no need to go.”
Cal: See you tomorrow!
At the gate of the Willard family.
Devona, who was sent into the room by Seryna, got into Calbert’s car with Natalie’s help. A few minutes later, De- vona got out of the car with a big smile.
And Calbert’s van also drove away in the night.
Natalie watched the car disappear into the darkness, then smiled and asked, “Madam Willard, you look so happy. Did something good happen?”
Devona smiled happier than usual. If you said it was a good thing, it really was a good thing.
Sera really was the Willard family’s lucky star.
“God bless my Sera, she would be happy in the future, go, go back.”
Devona didn’t say why, but she also knew who the Willard family would rise under.
Natalie was happy too, that kid was really sweet. Ever since Sera came, Devona had been in a better mood.
“Madam Willard, Sera was a good girl. In just over a month, she cured my insomnia. See, my dark circles are all gone.”
Devona pointed at her throat, “I’ve had this cough for a year and a half, but it’s much better now. Haven’t you noticed I haven’t coughed these past couple of days?”
Natalie: “No! Madam Willard, you have to live a long life. Sera could only count on you. As for her parents, I’m afraid there wasn’t much to hope for.”
What Jeremiah and Tehila did was ugly to watch.
Devona glanced at her and said, “Life and death are up to fate. What I could give her wasn’t something to rely on. What mattered was her own growth. Her own strength was the real wealth and support she would have in her life.”

In the hospital.
Outside the operating room.
Brunell, Jeremiah, Tehila, the butler, and Tami waited anxiously outside the operating room.
Brunell kept looking at the operating room, thinking, Grandpa really can’t have anything happen to him right now.
With him around, he was the only one who could keep the whole the Fortin family in line.
